Mindful attention awareness and ruminative thought style scale were used as data collection. The scales were applied to students by face-to-face survey method. SPSS package program was used to analyze of the data. Pearson Correlation and Linear Regression analyses were applied for the statistical analyses. As a result, it was found that there was a positive and low-level relationship between mindful attention awareness and ruminative thought styles while mindful attention awareness slightly affected ruminative thought styles. In this context, it can be said that the students do not lose command over past or future events in their lives and act by experiencing the present moment. Keywords: Sports; teacher candidates; mindfulness; ruminative thought

It might be of vital importance that teachers, who are the backbones of education system, should obtain their skills related to educating students who are in harmony with modern life in their process as teacher candidates. Physical education teachers should obtain features of quality teaching and using alternative methods of measurement during their bachelor’s degree education. Thus, the aim of this study is to analyze efficiency of teacher candidates in movement analysis, self-evaluation and peer evaluation for four basic volleyball skills (forearm pass, setting, underhand serve and overhand serve). In the process of obtaining data, four observation forms were used. In the evaluation of forearm passing and overhand serve, observation forms developed by Ghorbanzadeh Koshki (2013) were used as evaluation tools. For overhand pass and underhand serve, observation forms developed by the researcher and experts were used. Also, information related to genders and ages of the teacher candidates was recorded. In the analysis of the data, t test, Pearson correlation and partial correlation tests were used. In the reliability analyses, interclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and Cronbach Alpha analyses were used. As a result, the teacher candidates’ scores for self-evaluation of their skills and their peers’ scores were found to be correlated. No significant difference was found between the two evaluations. The findings were discussed in the frame of the importance for physical education teacher candidates to learn to analyze moves and to use alternative measurement techniques.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between academic self-efficacy and cognitive flexibility levels of physical education and sports teacher candidates. The universe of the study consisted of 480 teacher candidates studying in the physical education and sports teaching departments of the sports sciences faculties within Selçuk, Erciyes, Süleyman Demirel and Mehmet Akif Ersoy Universities, and the sample group consisted of 192 volunteers from the specified population. Participants in the study were asked to fill in a personal information form, academic self-efficacy and cognitive flexibility scales. IBM SPSS 22.0 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) statistical package program was used to analyze the data. Arithmetic means and standard deviations of the scores of the volunteers from the scales were presented as X±Sd. Pearson Product Moment Correlation Analysis was applied to reveal the relationship of the data obtained from the scales. The value of p<0,05 was considered significant. As a result, it was determined that the academic self-efficacy and cognitive flexibility levels of physical education and sports teacher candidates were above average. A moderate positive correlation was found between academic self-efficacy and alternatives and control subtitles of cognitive flexibility and total of cognitive flexibility. It is thought that this situation is due to the ability of physical education and sports teacher candidates to transfer their experiences in sports life to their education life.

IBM SPSS Statistics v22 package program was used in the statistical analysis of the data. The skewness and kurtosis test were used to test the data for normality and it was determined that the data did not have a normal distribution. In order to evaluate whether the data is homogeneous; “Anova-Homogenety of variance” test was applied and it was determined that the data were not homogeneous. It was observed that the total score average of the "attitudes towards distance education" of the Physical Education and Sports School students was 103.50±13.02. When examined in terms of gender, it was determined that the mean score of male students was 105.02±13.41 and that of female students was 102.16±.12.60. The aim of this research is to reveal the assessment of EU (European Union) citizens residing in Alanya regarding the quality of hospital services in both their own countries and Alanya. The study was carried out face-to-face with a survey method with 295 resident EU (European Union) citizens between June and August 2018 in Alanya. The analysis was done with the SPSS 22.0 package program. 229 (76.60%) of the participants are women and 66 (22.40%) are men, 159 (54%) are German citizens and 30 (10.22%) are British citizens. Expectations of EU citizens regarding hospital service quality are empathy, reliability and assurance, particularly physical assets and accountability. It was found that quality expectations of EU citizens were met in terms of accountability and reliability, whereas expectations related to other dimensions were not satisfied. The overall perception levels of EU citizens regarding hospitals in their own countries are higher than the overall levels of perception of hospitals in Alanya. For this, Hospital managers in Alanya need to pay particular attention to assurance, physical assets and empathy dimensions for better quality health service delivery.

The objective of the present study is to analyze the relationship between physical education and sports teacher candidates’ academic self-efficacy and attitudes towards the course of sports history. The population of the present study consists of 240 junior and senior teacher candidates studying at School of Physical Education and Sports at Yozgat Bozok University and Faculty of Sports Sciences at Erciyes University and Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. The sample group consists of 138 participants randomly selected from the population. A Personal Information Form developed by the researcher, academic self-efficacy scale developed by Jerusalem and Schwarzer (1981) and adapted to Turkish context by Yılmaz, Gürçay, and Ekici (2007), and the attitude scale towards the course of sports history developed by Yılmaz, Namlı, and Kan (2013) were used for data collection. The data obtained in the study were analyzed using a personal computer. Numbers, percentages, mean values and standard deviations were used as descriptive statistical methods in the data analysis. Pearson correlation analysis was applied to the continuous variables of the study. As a result, a positive correlation was found between physical education teacher candidates’ self-efficacy and attitudes towards the course of sports history. It can be suggested that this tendency stems from teacher candidates’ academic development during their education as a university student, which is a transition to a professional life, and their belief in the importance of transferring their academic development to younger generations during their professional career.

Employee turnover has become a key performance indicator for many organizations as they struggle to retain talented employees. The negative impact of turnover on organizational performance has continually forced organizational leaders to seek better ways of retaining valuable employees. The relationship between man and work has always attracted the attention of philosophers. A major part of men’s life is spent at work. Work is social reality and social expectation to which men seem to conform. It not only provides status to the individual but also binds him to the society. An employee who is satisfied with his job would perform his duties well and be committed to his job, and subsequently to his organization. This paper examines relationship among job satisfaction, organizational commitment and employees’ turnover intentions at Unilever Corporation in Nigeria. The data for this study was collected from 117 employees currently working at Unilever Nigeria PLC using the survey method via the questionnaire. Pearson Correlation and the multiple regression analysis techniques using the SPSS version 22.0 was used for the data analysis. The findings of the study revealed that both job satisfaction and organizational commitment have significant negative relationship with employee turnover intentions. In addition, organizational commitment was revealed to have a more dorminant influence on employee turnover intentions than job satisfaction. Based on these findings, the implications, recommendations, practice, and theory were discussed.
