In Indonesia is the Iyang-Argopuro Volcano Complex. The Research uses remote sensing methods and gravity methods conducted to study thermal anomalies and subsurface structures using Data images of Landsat 8 satellite and a data gravity of GGMPlus satellite. Moreover, the study aims to estimate the number of hoisting manifestations of the earth's heat at the compound of the Iyang-Argopuro volcano. Landsat 8 satellite image data is a spectral band (band 1-9) and a thermal band (band 10 and 11). The data was done in radiometric corrections, radiance correction, and reflex corrections, and was thus obtained a value of ground surface temperature (LST). The data was done in radiometric corrections, radiance correction, and reflectance corrections, to get an LST value. Processing data gravity of GGMPlus satellites with a bouguer correction, terrain corrections up to get a Complete Bouguer Anomaly (ABL) value. Furthermore, the ABL value consisting of regional and local anomalies is separated using an upward continuation filter to obtain local anomaly values. The results obtained from this study are five points of geothermal manifestation locations in the Iyang-Argopuro Volcano Complex which are located in the northern, central, southern and eastern parts. Manifestations in the northern, central, and northeastern parts have ground surface temperatures of 24-31 ̊C. While manifestations in the central and eastern parts have a surface temperature of land 21-31 ̊C. The high ground temperature values at the five locations were associated with low gravity values ranging from -20 mGal to -10 mGal. The low gravity value is assumed to have a rock structure with a low-density value. Low-density rock structures have the possibility of an outflow zone causing the soil surface temperature to be relatively high.

This paper presents the analysis of the effect of urban green space types on land surface temperature in Hue city. Data are collected with temperature monitoring results from each green space type and the interpretation of surface temperature based on Landsat 8 satellite image data to determine temperatures at different times of the year. Results showed that there was a significant correlation between types of urban green space and the surface temperature. Types of green space with a large area and vegetation indexes have a greater effect on temperature than areas with a smaller green space do. Green space types including forest green space, dedicated green space and agriculture green space have the most effect on the surface temperature. The forest area has the greatest influence on the temperature with a temperature difference of more than 1.6 degrees Celsius at 9:00 in the daytime. Besides, the results extracted from satellite images also show that the area of urban green space going to be reduced makes a contribution to increase the surface temperature of urban areas. The study results have established foundation for planning the green spaces in climate change challenges in Hue City.

This paper discusses the possibilities of using Landsat 8 remote sensing data for assessing the temperature conditions of aquatic landscapes when studying the abundance and density of gulls. The study of the ornithological situation was carried out on the territory of the Perm international airport of the Perm Region, where the black-headed gull is an unfavorable factor in the safety of passenger aircraft flights. Within the boundaries of the region, 5 reservoirs were identified. A method for calculating the surface temperature from a multispectral satellite image of the Landsat 8 series is described in detail with the presentation of primary data sources, atmospheric parameters and obtaining raster coverage with a resolution of 30 meters per pixel. The tool used for the calculation is the Land Surface Temperature module of the QGIS software. The paper presents maps of temperature within the area of conducted ornithological surveys and the density of gulls. The densities of birds for individual bodies of water are calculated using the Spatial Analyst module of the ArcGIS program with the kernel density tool. According to the research results, a close correlation was established between the attractiveness of reservoirs for gulls and water temperature. The correlation coefficients were 0,83 and 0,71, respectively, with the abundance and density of gulls.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) measures outdoor temperature and ground surface temperature at 95 observation points, but monthly ground temperatures by depth, which are important for using geothermal heat, are only provided for nine points. Since the ground temperature is known in the vicinity of only nine observation points, it is very difficult to predict underground temperature in the field. This study develops a simplified regression equation for predicting underground temperature distributions, compares the prediction results with the experimental data of Korea’s representative areas and the data measured in this study, and examines the validity of the developed regression equation. The regression equation for predicting temperature amplitudes at ground depths of 1.0, 3.0, and 5.0 m was derived using the amplitude ratio of outdoor temperature and surface temperature provided by KMA at nine points in Korea from 2006 to 2015. The coefficient of determination was as high as 0.93 (95% confidence level). In addition, the field-measured ground temperature distribution at a depth of 3 m was in good agreement with the predicted ground temperature distribution in Changwon districts for the whole of 2017.

Much carbon fixed by forest is emitting as CO2 due to occurrence of wildfire which caused by artificially or naturally. Kalimantan region is one of hot spot the forestry and bio-divergence, however, it is rapidly losing in recent, because deforestation and occurrence of wildfire. Satellite remote sensing is very effective tool to monitor circumstance of ground surface, routinely and extensively. In this report, we tried land cover classification to discriminate burned area for aiming to clarify spatial distribution of frequency of wildfire occurrence. As a result, we could classify land cover to seven types as follow based on discriminate analysis by using multi-band from visible to short wave infra-red acquired from Landsat 8 satellite image; 1. Open water area 2. Cumulus 3. Cirrus or Haze 4. Cloud shadow 5. Vegetation area 6. Other type area 9. No-data. The category 6 of “Other type area” contains city area, bare soil, burned area and edge of cumulus, so we could expect to extract the burned place pixels from this categorical pixels.

Land surface temperature is an important factor in many areas, such as global climate change, hydrological, geo-/biophysical, and urban land use/land cover. As the latest launched satellite from the LANDSAT family, LANDSAT 8 has opened new possibilities for understanding the events on the Earth with remote sensing. This study presents an algorithm for the automatic mapping of land surface temperature from LANDSAT 8 data. The tool was developed using the LANDSAT 8 thermal infrared sensor Band 10 data. Different methods and formulas were used in the algorithm that successfully retrieves the land surface temperature to help us study the thermal environment of the ground surface. To verify the algorithm, the land surface temperature and the near-air temperature were compared. The results showed that, for the first case, the standard deviation was 2.4°C, and for the second case, it was 2.7°C. For future studies, the tool should be refined within situmeasurements of land surface temperature.
