In the article, acid number as a parameter characterizing engine oil were characterized. The next part of the article discusses the phenomenon of aging and degradation of engine oil. The factors that influence on this phenomenon have also been analyzed. In the further part of the article, the methodology of testing the used oil samples with the addition of effective microorganisms and silver solution was described. In the main part of the article the measuring test stand and acid number value for fresh and used oil compared to oils with the addition of microorganisms and a solution of silver and colloidal silver was shown. Next the analysis of the influence of these additives on the acid number value was made. The article was completed conclusions.

Next, the influence of additives enriching engine oils on the natural environment was described. In the further part of the article, the research methodology, applied oil samples with additives of effective microorganisms and silver solution, both for fresh oil and used oil were presented. In addition, the measuring test stand with instrumentation and measuring device was shown . In the main part of the article base number value for fresh and used oil compared to oils with the addition of microorganisms and a solution of silver and colloidal silver were described. Next the analysis of the influence of these additives on the base number value was made. The article was completed conclusions.

Abstract In the article, changes in the properties of oils during operation were characterized. The main reason for this is the continuous aging process of the used oil caused by the interaction of oxygen contained in the air, which reacts relatively easily with hydrocarbons and the oxidation process is accelerated just by high temperature. Then the problem of microorganisms occurring in petroleum products and their effect on the properties of oils and the operation of the internal combustion engine was presented. The next part of the article presents effective microorganisms, i.e. what they are and how they work, in particular, their composition and appropriate development conditions. In addition, some of their specific applications were briefly described. In the next part of the article, the research methodology, applied oil samples with additives of effective microorganisms, both for fresh oil and used oil were described. In addition, the measuring test stand with instrumentation and measuring device was shown. The main part of the article contains the characteristics of dynamic viscosity as a function of temperature for fresh oil and used oil compared with oils with the addition of microorganisms in liquid form and ceramic tubes. The developed graphs enabled analysis of the effect of the addition of microorganisms on oil viscosity as ecological products.

The protection of the environment and pollution control are issues of paramount importance. Researchers today are engrossed in mitigating the harmful impacts of petroleum waste on the environment. Lubricating oils, which are essential for the smooth operation of engines, are often disposed of improperly after completing their life. In the experimental work presented in this paper, deteriorated engine oil was regenerated using the acid treatment method and was reused in the engine. The comparison of the properties of reused oil, the engine’s performance, and the emissions from the engine are presented. The reuse of regenerated oil, the evaluation of performance, and emissions establish the usefulness of the regeneration of waste lubricating oil. For the used oil, total acid number (TAN), specific gravity, flash point, ash content, and kinematic viscosity changed by 60.7%, 6.7%, 4.4%, 96%, and 15.5%, respectively, compared with fresh oil. The regeneration partially restored all the lost lubricating oil properties. The performance parameters, brake power (BP), brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC), and exhaust gas temperature (EGT) improved with regenerated oil in use compared with used oil. The emissions CO and NOX contents for acid-treated oil were 9.7% and 17.3% less in comparison with used oil, respectively. Thus, regenerated oil showed improved performance and oil properties along with significantly reduced emissions when employed in an SI engine.

It is vitally important for vehicle users that are to study the operating regime that may negative effect to the operation of the engine, to reduce its effect, to maintain the engine's reliability in accordance with the specific operating conditions. Quality of lubrication is one of the main factors that are improving of reliability and operational efficiency for any machinery their spare parts. So this paper presents to optimize of oil change intervals and to determine of wear rating of spare parts by content of metal particles in the internal combustion engine used oil. Abstract The wear of piston rings in the diesel engines with EGR system is studied experimentally. In order to clarify the effect of PM on the wear, the wear of the piston rings in the test engine is measured, (1) when the non-soluble in the lubricating oil is removed by the oil filters, (2) when PM in the re-circulating gas is removed by the DPF, (3) when the carbon black is added in the lubricating oil. The experimental results are discussed with the measured time history of kinematic viscosity, total base number, total acid number, ZDTP survival rate, and carbon residual content and its particle size in the engine oil.

The experiments conducted and presented in this article are meant to determine the changes in the parameters characteristic of the human body which can be shown by means of two state-of-the-art biomedical devices. The comparative study has been conducted by using a SCIO bio-resonance device and a GDV (gas discharge visualization) Camera. The study’s protocol includes the ingestion of a small quantity of electro-colloidal silver solution (ECS). Both devices were strictly used for measuring and the method used was thep Test-ReTest method. The experiment was conducted on only 3 subjects and was meant to be a pilot study that would determine the parameters for a future measurement session with these two devices on a statistically relevant group of subjects. The final study is meant to determine that ECS is more than a mere antiseptic solution.

The aim of this research is to investigate the usage of passenger car engine oil into a motorcycle engine by determining the after effect of the lubricant to the engine. The difference between engine oil of passenger car and motorcycle is the friction modifier that is in the formulation of cars engine lubricant. A motorcycle engine has a wet clutch system in the crank case, such engine oil with a friction modifier will decrease the clutch capacity of the system. In this study, three types of methodology tests have been conducted such as endurance test which combined with the fuel efficiency test at the same time, drag test and Ferrography tests that were conducted to determine the amount of contamination in both types of engine oil. The results showed that using a passenger car lubricant on motorcycle engine did not affect the engine compartment and parts. The numbers of metal wear in the used oil of both types of cars and motorcycle were slightly different.
