This article assessed the impact of change management on employee performance with evidence from Nile University of Nigeria. This study made use of a descriptive survey research design. Burke Litwin model of organizational change was adopted for this study because the model explains the linkages between variables and individual and organizational performance. The population consists of 1,400 staff (Academic and Non-Academic) staff of Nile University of Nigeria Abuja. Stratified random sampling techniques were employed to select the sample size of 311 from the population. Regression analysis was used to analyze the data that was collected using a five-point likert scale structured questionnaire. The results showed that Change in organizational structure has a significance on the quality of employee service delivery in Nile University of Nigeria, there is a relationship between technological change and quality of employee service delivery in Nile University of Nigeria even though the relationship was not very strong. Leadership change significantly influences the quality of employee service delivery at Nile University of Nigeria. Human resource is an important internal strength of every organization and a source of competitive advantage, the study, therefore, recommended amongst others that organizations should communicate details of the change to the employees to minimize resistance.

This research the impact of competitive quasi market on service delivery in Benue State University, Makurdi Nigeria. Both primary and secondary source of data and information were used for the study and questionnaire was used to extract information from the purposively selected respondents. The population for this study is one hundred and seventy three (173) administrative staff of Benue State University selected at random. The statistical tools employed was the classical ordinary least square (OLS) and the probability value of the estimates was used to tests hypotheses of the study. The result of the study indicates that a positive relationship exist between Competitive quasi marketing in Benue State University, Makurdi Nigeria (CQM) and Transparency in the service delivery (TRSP) and the relationship is statistically significant (p<0.05). Competitive quasi marketing (CQM) has a negative effect on Observe Competence in Benue State University, Makurdi Nigeria (OBCP) and the relationship is not statistically significant (p>0.05). Competitive quasi marketing (CQM) has a positive effect on Innovation in Benue State University, Makurdi Nigeria (INVO) and the relationship is statistically significant (p<0.05) and in line with a priori expectation. This means that a unit increases in Competitive quasi marketing (CQM) will result to a corresponding increase in innovation in Benue State University, Makurdi Nigeria (INVO) by a margin of 22.5%. It was concluded that government monopoly in the provision of certain types of services has greatly affected the quality of service experience in the institution. It was recommended among others that the stakeholders in the market has to be transparent so that the system will be productive to serve the society effectively

Purpose This study aims to investigate the impact of three determinants of organizational identification (OID) on employee performance (EP) in the context of private business institutions. Design/methodology/approach A sample of 175 permanent faculty members from four top universities in Karachi, Pakistan, was interviewed using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. The data were inserted in SPSS 22 and SmartPLS v 3.2 for performing the analysis. Findings Results of the study showed a significant effect in perceived supervisor support on OID; OID; job satisfaction and EP; and mediating relationship. Conversely, an insignificant effect was observed in workplace incivility. Research limitations/implications It is highly recommended that organizations work on the areas that lead to enhancing their employees’ performance. Also, human resource should create a healthy culture that promotes initiatives, open-door policies and discourages power distance. Lastly, one of the key responsibilities of management is to strengthen their OID because employees are more likely to identify with their supervisors if they invest in the organizations they work for. Practical implications This study will help strengthen the relationship between supervisors and university employees. It will guide the supervisors to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of their subordinates and develop recreational policies and employee engagement activities. In addition, it will help develop a conducive environment and enhance the quality of education in the university and the society. Originality/value Understanding the determinants of OID on EP in the educational context is very important as it enhances the quality of EP and the overall quality of education of the institution.

The purpose of this study was to find out the impact of employee participation on organizational performance and to find out the moderating effect of organizational commitment on the relationship between employee participation and organizational performance. The study population comprised of 5866 employees of three state corporations namely Mumias Sugar Company, Kenya Power and KenGen. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The findings of the study were that employee participation had a significant effect on organizational performance. The study further showed that affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment moderated the relationship between employee participation and organizational performance.

The study examined the impact of leadership style on organizational performance in selected Banks, in Ibadan Nigeria. Purposive sampling technique was adopted in selecting a total of sixty (60) respondents as sample for the study, while relevant data was gathered with the aid of a structured questionnaire. One hypothesis was formulated and inferential statistical tool was used to analyze the data specifically Pearson product moment correlation was used to examine the relationship between leadership style dimensions and organizational performance, while Regression analysis was used to examine the significant effect of leadership style dimensions on followers and performance. Findings showed positive and negative correlation between leadership style dimensions and organizational performance. It was also found that leadership style dimensions jointly predict organizational performance, which counted for 23% variance of performance. The study concluded that transformational and democratic leadership style should be employed by the Banks’ management in order to wax stronger in a global competitive environment.

This work examined the impact of telecommuting on employees’ performance. The dynamic nature of the environment in which our organizations operate and customers need made this investigation very necessary. The objectives of the study were; to find out if arrangement that enables employee to work at home has a positive relationship with better quality of work and to ascertain whether an arrangement that allows employee to work at agreed location has significant relationship with speedy service delivery. To achieve the objectives, a survey research design was adopted. The techniques employed in analyzing the data were descriptive statistics and spearman rank correlation coefficient. The results indicated that the arrangement that enables employee to work at home has a weak and positive relationship with better quality of work. It was also found that arrangement that allows employee to work at agreed location has a significant relationship with speedy service delivery. Based on the findings, the researcher concluded that telecommuting has impact on employee performance. It was recommended that managers of telecommunication out-fits should continue with the arrangement that allows employees to work at agreed location since it was found to have significant relationship with speedy service delivery but also ensure that, there is a strong mechanism on ground to monitor the activities of the telecommuters.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between digital literacy and the quality of life of the elderly in Arak. The research is a descriptive survey in terms of applied purpose and terms of method and nature. The statistical population of the present study included all the elderly in Arak who were at least 64 years and older; 376 participants were selected using the sampling method. Participants were assessed with the help of digital literacy and quality-of-life questionnaires. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics (analysis of covariance) were used using the SPSS-21 software. The results showed that all parameters of digital literacy had a direct and significant effect on the quality of life of the elderly. Among the quality-of-life parameters, the impact of the physical environment health was less than that of the others.

This study took an empirical investigation on the relationship between change management and organizational performance of banks in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The study adopted the descriptive survey design and employed primary data. A sample size of 218 employees was randomly selected and responses obtained using a structured questionnaire. The Spearman rank correlation coefficient was utilized in analyzing the primary data and hypothesis tested using the probability approach. The study found a positive significant correlation between technological change and net profit. Leadership change has positive significant effect on net profit. The study concludes that change management influences organizational performance of banks in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The paper recommends that banks adopt the latest technology and ensure clear and transparent communication of change policies to employees.

The quality of the human resource of an organization is essential to its success. Thus, every organization must seek to improve the quality of its workforce. One way of achieving this is through training and development programs. The importance of training and development programs can only be appreciated with a clear understanding of its direct impact on employee performance. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of training and development programs on employee performance. The data for this study has been collected through a structured questionnaire by conducting a survey. The sample size of this study is 100 and is chosen based on convenience sampling technique from different chemical and manufacturing industries of Bangladesh. All the data of this study were processed and analysed through SPSS 20. The value of Cronbach Alpha was 0.725, means that the data of this study is reliable according to Nunnaly, (1978). Hypotheses were tested through multiple regression analysis. From the findings, it has found that Orientation Training (OT), Career Development Training (CDT), and Environment, Health & Safety Training (EHST) have the significant impact on Employee Performance (EP) while there was no significant relation between Job Training (JT) and Employee Performance (EP). Eventually, this study was concluded by providing a few recommendations for organisational implication.

An empirical knowledge gap has been observed regarding the relationship between organizational commitment and employee job performance of Administrative Officers in University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. Therefore, in order to fill this empirical knowledge gap, this study was carried out with the objectives of explores the relationship between organizational commitment and job performance and explores the impact of organizational commitment on job performance of Administrative Officers in University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. The data of this study have been collected from 40 Administrative Officers in University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka through the structured questionnaire. The data were analysed with univariate and bivariate analyses using SPSS 19.0. Findings of the study stated that there is a medium positive relationship between organizational commitment and job performance. And also findings of the study stated that organizational commitment has significant impact on employee performance. This study suggested that organizational commitment of the employees can improve employees‟ job performance.

The good recruitment program can provide a positive influence to increasing employee commitment, productivity and the quality of work including performance. The relationship of employee retention on performance is exceedingly complex. There is evidence that performance can decrease if the employee retention is bad and there is a possibility of stagnation if employee turnover is too dejected. Besides recruitment and employee retention, the labor relations can also affect the employee performance, where the problems usually arise from the difference of work, age and demographics. Research will be conducted to examine, whether there is a significant impact on recruitment, employee retention, and labor relations to employee performance on batik industry in Solo. The results of this analysis indicate that the recruitment, retention, and labor relations found a significant effect on employee performance. On the other hand, the recruitment and employee retention found a significant effect on employee performance. As well as recruitment and employee retention, labor relations found significant effects to the employee re-tention. The results also found the recruiting and employee retention have a significant impact on employee performance through the labor relations.
