ABSTRAKDukungan keluarga adalah bantuan yang diberikan oleh anggota keluarga yang lain sehingga akan memberikan kenyamanan. Dukungan keluarga sangat diperlukan oleh lansia dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidupnya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan kualitas hidup lansia di PSTW Budi Sejahtera Banjarbaru. Penelitian observasional dengan menggunakan desain pendekatan cross sectional. Responden berjumlah 50 orang dengan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dukungan keluarga dan kuesioner kualitas hidup WHOQOL-OLD. Penelitian menunjukan bahwa lansia yang memiliki tingkat dukungan keluarga kurang berjumlah 23 orang (46%), dukungan keluarga cukup berjumlah 12 orang (24%), dukungan keluarga baik berjumlah 12 orang (24%), dan dukungan keluarga sangat baik berjumlah 3 orang (6%). Lansia yang memiliki tingkat kualitas hidup rendah berjumlah 3 orang (6%), kualitas hidup sedang 36 orang (72%), dan kualitas hidup tinggi berjumlah 11 orang (22%). Analisis data hasil penelitian ini menggunakan uji Spearmen Rank didapatkan nilai p value 0,001(p ˂ 0,05) yang berarti terdapat hubungan bermakna antara dukungan keluarga dengan kualitas hidup lansia di PSTW Budi Sejahtera Banjarbaru dengan nilai r=0,884 yang berarti kekuatan hubungan kuat dan mempunyai arah positif. Dukungan yang diberikan keluarga yang baik kepada lansia akan meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia.Kata-kata kunci: dukungan keluarga, kualitas hidup, lansia, PSTW.ABSTRACTFamily support is the assistance given by other family members that will provide comfort. Family support is needed by the elderly to improve their quality of life. To determine the relationship of family support with the quality of life of the elderly in PSTW Budi Sejahtera Banjarbaru. Observational study using cross sectional design. Respondents totaled 50 elderly with research instruments such as questionnaires family support and quality of life questionnaire WHOQOLOLD. Research showed that elderly people who had high levels of support for poor families totaling 23 people (46%), family support sufficient amounts to 12 people (24%), family support both numbering 12 people (24%) and family support is very good amount to 3 people (6% ). Elderly people who had a low level of quality of life totaled 3 (6%), quality of life was 36 (72%) and a high quality of life for a total of 11 people (22%). Analysis of data from this study used Spearman Rank test obtained p value of 0.001 (p ˂ 0.05) which shall mean there was a significant relationship between family support with the quality of life of the elderly in PSTW Budi Sejahtera Banjarbaru with r = 0.884, which means the power of strong relationships and has a positive direction. The support given to the elderly a good family will improved the quality of life of the elderly.Keywords: family support, quality of life, elderly, PSTW.

Abstract Progress which occurs in health mainly gives impact on the increase in health quality, especially on the increase of life expectancy among elderly. Family is the main support system for elderly in terms of maintaining their health. The higher the family support, the better the quality of life of the elderly. In addition, quality of life is an indicator to evaluate the success of intervention on prevention and cure. The purpose of this research is to know relationship family support with quality of life of the elderly. Type of study is an analytic observational with cross sectional design. The population of the research is the whole of the elderly in the working area of the Sidomulyo Rawat Jalan Health Center Pekanbaru with a purposive sampling technique. Samples taken were 40 respondents. The independent variable is family support and the dependent variable is the quality of life of the elderly. The research data was taken using a questionnaire. This research was conducted in in the working area of the Sidomulyo Rawat Jalan Health Center Pekanbaru on march 21-25 2019. The result of Fisher’s test obtained p value (0,020) that’s means there is relationship family support with quality of life of the elderly. Therefore, the research can be used as information for the health center in the quality of family support involving elderly cadres to reduce the decline in the quality of life of the elderly.   Abstrak Kemajuan di bidang kesehatan berdampak pada meningkatnya kualitas kesehatan serta meningkatnya umur harapan hidup terutama penduduk lanjut usia. Keluarga merupakan support system utama bagi lansia dalam mempertahankan kesehatannya. Dukungan keluarga yang tinggi akan meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia. Kualitas hidup merupakan indikator untuk menilai keberhasilan intervensi dari segi pencegahan dan pengobatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan kualitas hidup lansia. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh lansia yang ada di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sidomulyo Rawat Jalan Pekanbaru dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 40 responden. Variabel independennya adalah dukungan keluarga dan variabel dependennya adalah kualitas hidup lansia. Data penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Penelitian ini dilakukan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sidomulyo Rawat Jalan Pekanbaru pada tanggal 21-25 Maret 2019. Hasil uji Fisher’s didapatkan nilai p value (0,020) artinya terdapat hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan kualitas hidup lansia. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai informasi bagi pihak puskesmas dalam kualitas dukungan keluarga yang melibatkan kader lansia untuk mengurangi penurunan kualitas hidup lansia.

Introduction: In these days, one of the terrifying cancers for women throughout the world is breast cancer. The treatment of cancer should be holistic. Patients need family support to create a good quality of life. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and quality of life in breast cancer patients at the Chemotherapy Unit of Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Hospital Samarinda. Methods: Quantitative research with analytical study and cross-sectional design. Sampling was done with a total sample of 76 respondents. The instruments used in this research were family support standards and the Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core 30 (EORTC QLQ-C30) for quality of life. The data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The p-value was 0.003, OR = 4.090, indicating that there was a relationship between family support and quality of life in breast cancer patients. Conclusion: There is a relationship between family support and quality of life in breast cancer patients. It is expected that the hospital can proceed in providing health education and motivation to breast cancer patients and their families related to the importance of family support for the quality of life of breast cancer patients. Glaucoma is incurable but can be controlled with lifelong treatment. In addition, decreased visual function affects daily activities and can reduce the quality of life of patients. A factor influencing the quality of life is family support. Family support can improve the quality of life for example, the family helps care costs. This study aims to analyze the relationship of family support with the quality of life of Glaucoma patients at Baladhika Husada Level III Hospital in Jember,  using a cross sectional approach, the independent variable is family support and dependent quality of life. 71 research samples with purposive sampling. Data collection uses a family support questionnaire to assess family support and a GQL-15 questionnaire to assess quality of life. Analysis of the relationship of family support with quality of life using Spearman rank test with p value of <0.05. The results showed the percentage of family support 59 (83.1%) had high family support and 12 (16.9%) low family support, the percentage of quality of life was 58 (81.7%) had a good quality of life and 13 (18, 3%) poor quality of life. There  is a  relationship  between  family  support  and  quality  of  life (p  value = 0.001 r value = +0.467) with a positive correlation means the higher the family support, the higher the quality of life. Family support is related to quality of life in glaucoma patients because family support has an important role in efforts to improve quality of life.

The study design was cross-sectional descriptive correlative approach. Data collection tool is a questionnaire guide. Sample of 35 respondents using accidental sampling technique. The independent variable in this study is the family support and the dependent variable quality of life of patients with post-stroke. The results showed 16 respondents, or 45.8% of respondents received sufficient family support. Respondents who have a sufficient quality of life amounted to 15 respondents or 42.7%. By Spearman Rho obtained significance value (p value = 0.00) <(α = 0.05), which proved to be no family support relationships with the quality of life of the elderly after a stroke. Post-stroke patients have problems of physical health, psychological, level of dependence, social relationships, environment and personal beliefs. Therefore, they need emotional support, awards, instrumental and information, especially of the family as the people closest to them thus improving patient quality of life after stroke

<p><em>People with diabetes mellitus are at risk of developing complications, so that it affects the quality of life. These complications can be minimized through self-care management. This study aims to determine the relationship between self management with the quality of life for people with diabetes mellitus. This research is a kind of quantitative research with correlation study. This research used cross sectional design. The sampling technique uses non probability with estimation consecutive sampling. The number of respondents in this research are 118 respondents. Instrument for measuring self management used diabetes self management questionnaire (DSMQ), and instruments to measure quality of life used quality of life WHOQOL-BREEF. The data obtained were processed statistically by using spearman rank test formula and p value of 0,000 There is a significant relationship of self management with the quality of life of people with diabetes mellitus.</em></p><p> </p><p><em>Penderita </em><em>Diabetes mellitus </em><em>beresiko mengalami komplikasi yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidupnya. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FAMILY SUPPORT AND THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PEOPLE WITH MENTAL DISORDERS  ABSTRACTMental disorder is one of the most serious health problems. Families have to spend more time to provide care to People with Mental Disorders at home. People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ) usually have problems with quality of life. The study aimed to determine the relationship between family support and the quality of life of People with Mental Disorders / ODGJ. This research is a quantitative research by using cross-sectional design with correlative analytic method. The sample of the research were 39 people selected by non probability sampling technique of purposive sampling. Data collection of respondent characteristics was conducted by using questionnaire of respondent characteristics. The level of family support was assessed by using family support questionnaires proposed by Friedman and the quality of life of the respondents was measured using the SQLS questionnaires. The findings showed that good and moderate family supports have the same percentage of 35.9%, while the results of the quality of life score showed that the majority of respondents had good quality of life (82.1%). Based on the analysis by using Spearman-Rank test, there is a significant correlation between family support and quality of life of respondents with p = 0,000 (p <0,05) and strong correlation value of 0.618 and positive correlation direction which means if family support increases then the quality of life of respondents will increase and vice versa. The future researchers are expected to exercise control over other factors that may affect the quality of life of People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ).

Quality of life is a level that describes the advantages of an individual that can be assessed from their lives. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of social interaction with the quality of life of the elderly in the work area of Bangkala Health Center, Kel. Biring Romang, Kec Manggala, Makassar City. Method: This research is a quantitative study with a type of research with cross-sectional studies with a sample size of 219 respondents using a computerized application of SPSS 20 Che Square test. The results showed that interaction using social media in the elderly P-value = 0,000, which means there is a significant relationship between quality of life in the elderly in the area of Bangkala Health Center, Kel. Biring Romang, Kec. Manggala, Makassar City. Conclusion: There is a relationship between quality of life in the elderly, therefore it is expected that an elderly person should slowly be acquainted with so that in the process of daily life can do social interaction Keywords: Social Interaction, Quality of Life.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the score of quality of life between parents and children with lupus nephritis.Material and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from February to March 2017 in children with lupus nephritis aged 5-18 years old treated at the Department of Child Health Dr. Soetomo Surabaya Hospital. Quality of life was assessed from parents and children using the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL) 4.0 Generic Core questionnaires. Statistical analysis of Wilcoxon signed rank test and pair t-test were used with p-value<0.05 being significant.Results: A total of 30 children were included during the study period. Sixteen children were female with a mean age of 11.5 (standard deviation 2.7) years. The differences in score between parents and children were as follows: physical functioning (82.8 vs 87.5) p-value=0.140, emotional functioning (65.0 vs 72.5) p-value=0.173, social functioning (80.0 vs 95.0) p-value=0.016 and school functioning (67.5 vs 70.0) p-value=0.116. There were no differences according to onset of diagnosis and the only differences found were in social functioning based on the induction treatment phase. Children with complications showed significant differences in physical, emotional and social functioning (p-value=0.041, p-value=0.023, p-value=0.038 respectively).Conclusion: Parents and children with lupus nephritis showed different scores of quality of life in social functioning, and it is important to consider the daily life activities of children.

The purpose of this descriptive research was to study the factors that influence the quality of life (QOL) and longevity of the elderly in Thailand. The sample was made up of 280 elderly people in Phrae province, Thailand. The research found that (1) the QOL of the elderly in Phrae province was overall at a good level of 66.30%, (2) the factors that have significant influence on the QOL of the elderly at the p value = .01 are healing and exercise factors which are able to jointly predict the QOL of the elderly in Phrae Province by 12.2% (R2 = .122), and (3) from the structured interviews of 10 elderly people aged 80 years and older, it was found that diet, exercise, stress reduction, and healing are factors that allow the elderly to live for an average of 80 years which is above the average age of Thai people (the average age for men is 71.8 years old and for women is 78.6 years old).

Background : The incidence of depression in elderly people in Indonesia is currently high.Indonesia has entered the era of elderly population. In 2009, the number of people agedover 60 years about 7.18%. Depression is a major mental health problem today. This isvery important because the incidence of depression will badly affects the productivity ofpeople particulary in a developing society.Research purposes : This research was generally aimed to find out the relationshipbetween family support and depression level in elderly as well as specifically to identifyfamily support for elderly and identify depression level in elderly.Subject : Research respondents were elderly people aged 60 years and over in TelukanVillage Sukoharjo District.Method : This research is a correlation research with cross sectional approach to analyzethe relationship betwen family support with depression level in elderly in Telukan VillageSukoharjo District. In this study the researcher used a saturated sampling technique inwhich all members of the population was used as a research respondent accounted for60.Research result : The majority of respondents who good support from their family was58.3% while the rest 41.7% got less support. The majority of were normal category (80%)while those with mild depression by 20%. The results of analysis with PearsonCorrelation obtained p value = 0.000 and value r = - 0.559.Conclusion : There is a significant relationship between family support and the incidenceof depression in the elderly. The higher the family support the lower the incidence ofdepression in the elderly.Keywords: depression, family support, elderly
