The optimization of the drying schedule has been carried out to improve the quality indicators of the live plague vaccine. Based on the data obtained on the eutectic point of the vaccine suspension, the freezing temperature and freezing time were set to -50 °С and 6-7 h, respectively. A pressure of 40 mTorr over the surface of the drying suspension and 20 mTorr during the desorption were shown to be the best conditions for sublimation. The drying tests with different options for the shelf heating rate, vacuum depth and duration of intermediate temperature indicators were carried out to develop the improved freeze-drying mode providing the selection of the most adapted bacteria. A vaccine lyophilized under the developed conditions has low residual moisture (up to 2%) and high viability index that persists over the whole shelf life. lyophilization, sublimation, eutectic, live plague vaccine, residual moisture, viability

The coal as fired, with unidentified characteristics of the coal gangue, was burned on a 300MW circulating fluidized bed unit. The equipment of the coal conveying system was damaged and the boiler operation was unstable. In response to the problems, the coal quality data and storage conditions of the coal were examined and the site was spot-checked to evaluate the coal quality characteristics. At the same time, the typical representative parameters of the coal handling system and boiler operation were selected. According to the analysis of coal quality and coal storage, the coal quality fluctuates greatly and the uniformity of particle size distribution is poor. There is actually the coal gangue with hard texture and hard to grind in the coal pile. The coal gangue will have adverse effects on the fine screening machine, fine crusher and other equipment. After burned this type of coal, the fluidized quality of the boiler bed is degraded to make an impact on the safe and stable operation of the boiler. It is recommended that the coal should be screened and then burned into the furnace to ensure safe and stable operation of the boiler.

Abstract The present project proposes to utilize rice husk and maize cob husk ash in the cement to mitigate the adverse impact of cement on environment and to enhance the disposal of waste in a sustainable manner. Ternary concrete / MR concrete was prepared by using rise husk and maize cob ash with cement. For the present project, five concrete mixes MR-0 (Control mix), MR-1 (Rice husk ash 10% and MR-2.5%), MR-2 (Rice husk ash 10% and MR-5%), MR-3 (Rice husk ash 10% and MR-2.5%), MR-4 (Rice husk ash 10% and MR-2.5%) were prepared. M35 concrete mix was designed as per IS 10262:2009 for low slump values 0-25mm. The purpose is to find the optimum replacement level of cement in M35 grade ternary concrete for I – Shaped paver blocks. In order to study the effects of these additions, micro-structural and structural properties test of concretes have been conducted. The crystalline properties of control mix and modified concrete are analyzed by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscope (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). The results indicated that 10% Rice husk ash and 5% maize cob ash replaced with cement produce a desirable quality of ternary concrete mix having good compressive strength. The results of SEM analysis indicated that the morphology of both concrete were different, showing porous structure at 7 days age and become unsymmetrical with the addition of ashes. After 28 day age, the control mix contained more quantity of ettringite and became denser than ternary concrete. XRD analysis revealed the presence of portlandite in large quantity in controlled mix concrete while MR concrete had the partially hydrated particle of alite.

Abstract The effects of different volumetric ratios of bulking agents to pulp/paper-mill sludge on composting were studied. Rice husk and corncob were used as bulking agents. Volumetric ratios of bulking agents to pulp/paper-mill sludge were used as 10:100 and 25:100. To monitor the evolution of the composting systems, routine parameters such as temperature, moisture, pH, total N, NH4 +-N, NO3 --N, total C, and C/N ratio were analyzed. The results indicated that the agro-based materials significantly affected compost maturity parameters. Moreover, the quality of the product obtained in the composting process treated with the agro-based materials achieved satisfactory stabilization and sanitation for application to land.

The brewing process requires that the manufacturing of your product be done and controlled in such a way that the entire characteristic of the product is preserved from receipt of raw material to finished product. Thus, this work aims to propose actions that allow identifying possible critical steps of oxygen increases during the beer filtration process. Using the PDCA cycle methodology to analyze possible failures, be it people, management or equipment, and seek improvements through the analysis and monitoring of objective actions capable of identifying and addressing all problems at the process stage, thus ensuring, improving the sensory quality of beer and producing with, lower dissolved oxygen content. The PDCA cycle will be used because it is a sequence of activities that are cyclically performed to improve activities and continuous application and allows a real use of the processes generated in the company, aiming at reducing costs and increasing productivity. Therefore, the scientific problem of this work refers to the evaluation of points of the manufacturing process that causes premature aging and oxidation in the produced beers.

Finding alternative energy sources for fossil fuels was a global matter of concern, especially in developing countries. Rice husk, an abundant biomass in Viet Nam, was used to partially replace fossil fuels by gasification process. The study was conducted on the pilot plant fixed bed up-draft gasifier with two kind of gasification agents, pure air and air-steam mixture. Mathematical modeling and computer simulations were also used to describe and optimize the gasification processes. Mathematical modeling was based on Computational Fluid Dynamics method and simulation was carried by using Ansys Fluent software. Changes in outlet composition of syngas components (CO, CO2, CH4, H2O, H2) and temperature of process, in relation with ratio of steam in gasification agents, were presented. Obtained results indicated concentration of CH4, H2 in outlet was increased significantly when using air-steam gasification agents than pure air. The discrepancies among the gasification agents were determined to improve the actual process.

The natural rise-husk charcoal was made by burned in a furnace at 230 °C. Carboxylic group (-COOH) was functionalized onto the charcoal by using oxalic acid in situ process. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and morphology by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) demonstrated that the COOH-group was successfully functionalized on the charcoal and the particles were porous. The COOH-activated charcoal was applied for liming effluent treatment through a filtration media. Eight environmental load parameters was determined by the standard method. The results were compared with the standard permissible limits set by Inland Surface Water-Bangladesh Standards (ISW–BDS-ECR, 1997). It has been observed that the rice husk based activated carbons dramatically reduce the pollutants to permissible level. The removal efficiency of pH, Electrical Conductivity (EC), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Biological Oxygen Demand in 5 days at 20 °C (BOD5), Chemical Oxygen demand (COD), Total Alkalinity, S2- from liming effluent up to 40.0%, 85.89%, 98.8%, 81.32%, 96.74%, 78.6%, 97.15% and 79.61% respectively. In conclusion, the liming effluent simply recycled by filtration process and can be used for industrial purpose.
