The Organization of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is the first real attempt to conduct integration processes in the post-soviet space among several states. However, the question of its expansion at the expense of other states remains open, as well as the further deepening of relations within the Union and the improvement of the mechanisms for integrating the economies of the member states. In this regard, the analysis of the state of economic relations is carried out and the ways of solving some aspects of the coming period are shown. The main idea of solving the problems of the Union is the gradual and effective development of standards for economic relations.

The article investigates the evolution of the Russian-Uzbekistani relations in the last years of the presidency of Islam Karimov (2012–2016). Based on a wide range of official sources and periodicals, it identifies the main trends, achievements and issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres. It determines the factors that influenced the interaction between Moscow and Tashkent, and pays a particular attention to the role of the presidents of the two states in the development and strength- ening of their cooperation. The author concludes that throughout the period under review the Rus- sian-Uzbekistani relations faced serious challenges. They were remarkably conflicting, unpredictable, inconsistent, and quite turbulent, what provoked the discussions about the correspondence of their real political condition to their high legal status (in 2004, Russia and Uzbekistan became strategic part- ners, and in 2005, allied states). Nevertheless, the two countries overcame most of their differences and took a course towards the further expansion and deep- ening, as well as modernization of their relations. As a result, at present Uzbeki- stan remains one of the most important Russia’s partners not only in Central Asia, but throughout the post-Soviet space, as well as within the framework of the leading international organizations.

The article examines such an important aspect of Russian foreign policy as peacekeeping. Russia has been participating in many activities to maintain and strengthen peace in the post-Soviet space and in other regions of our planet. This activity is successfully carried out in the formats of the UN, CIS, CSTO, OSCE, other international organizations and on a bilateral basis. The author notes that the role of peacekeeping is growing immeasurably in the context of attempts to revive the atmosphere of the Cold War, the ongoing arms race in the world, the build-up of nuclear missile potentials of a number of countries, and the intensifi cation of the forces of international terrorism represented by radical Islamist groups.

The paper discusses the possibility of deepening Serbia's cooperation with Russia and with international organizations and the integration processes that Russia conducts in the post-Soviet space. Serbia is a military neutral country, but it has certain forms of cooperation with both NATO and the CSTO, where it has a status of an observer. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization also provides various opportunities for cooperation, including statuses of an observer, partner and a guest. In the domain of economy, the Eurasian Union is interesting for Serbia, which already achieved a free trade agreement in 2019, which was then ratified. The full members of the Eurasian Union generate about $ 2 trillion in GDP and have about 185 million inhabitants, as well as significant economic capacities and natural resources. An important factor for deepening Serbia's cooperation with integrations in the post-Soviet space is the fact that they are friendly countries led by Russia, which can be a significant factor in the realization of essential Serbian interests.

The problems of interaction between international organizations and universities correlate with a set of key problems in the theory of international relations because they are associated with the phenomena of globalization, regionalism, and multiculturalism. They also relate to the prospects for the influence of universal humanitarian and technological development ideas on the policies of individual countries and consolidated groups of states. The authors claim that the successful promotion of the European Union in harmonizing the common space of higher education and the demand for the European university model in other regions of the world, including in the post-Soviet space, is ruled by the combination of its universalism and tolerance with the concept of the diversity value in higher education.

The paper applies a new dataset of the System of Indicators of Eurasian Integration to evaluate the changes of level and direction of economic interaction of the post-Soviet states in the last decade. It analyzes the integration dynamics in the area of trade and migration as well as on three functional markets of agricultural goods, electricity and educational services. The paper concludes that the level of trade integration on the post-Soviet space continues declining, while there is a rapid increase of the labor market integration. Three largest countries of the Eurasian Economic Community - Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan - demonstrate positive integration dynamics, but small countries maintain the leading position in the area of post-Soviet integration.
