This article brings forward the discussions about the images about the paths that lead to Rural Schools in the Paraense Amazon. For such, the meanings constructed by children in early childhood education about the paths that are taken to school were analyzed. The theoretical foundation is based especially in Caldart (2004), Molina and Sá (2011) and Hage (2005). Methodologically, it presents a qualitative approach in the psychosocial field, in a dialectical movement that involves the objective and subjective world, as a constituent process of images and constructed meanings. For the analysis, the contexts surrounding the reality of Rural Education experienced by children from a municipality in the Amazon region of Pará were considered, as were the meanings that the children studied attribute to this path based on their drawings and the arguments that justify the images of the paths that lead to school. The revealed results the intersubjective dialectical movement, constituent and constructor of the reality of values that imprint a rupture of the dynamics between nature and the school's artificial world in the reality of the Paraense Amazon, highlighting the importance of considering the subjectivity of the rural subjects as a political act to propose their training and educational policies.

Defined broadly as the use of art forms – music, drama, music, painting, storying and so on – to create privileged insight into educational policies and practices, Arts-Based Educational Research [ABER] techniques have started to have some, albeit limited, purchase on the mainstream of educational enquiry; there is less evidence, however, of their use in early childhood research. This article critically outlines some chief characteristics of an ABER approach, its claim to legitimacy in the currency of qualitative research practice and the issues which presently both drive and challenge it. An example from our own work is given, and the essay concludes with a prospectus of critical issues, questions and exhortations.

Inclusive education and early intervention go hand in hand in the early educational stages to reach the maximum potential of the student body. The aim of this study was to analyze the inclusive profile of an educational center and assess the effectiveness of an inclusive task (designed for this study) in a group of students of early childhood education. This analytical, prospective, descriptive and longitudinal study was conducted from both qualitative and quantitative approaches. From the qualitative approach, an interview was carried out with early childhood education teachers. A total of nine participants were interviewed. Their mean age was 42.25 ± 9.30 years, with a mean experience of 14.25 ± 9.25 years. The quantitative part of the study was carried out with 97 students of early childhood education. After delivering a learning workshop about awareness of functional diversity, three variables were analyzed: story memory, demonstrated emotion, and game memory. The qualitative study indicates that it is necessary to develop coping strategies, such as including special education tasks in the classroom, prior to specific staff training and programming in specific aspects of awareness. Moreover, it is shown that the perception of treatment among peers is already present at this educational stage. The quantitative study reveals that the task was exciting and motivating for the students, which promotes learning and awareness.

The phenomenon of the scarcity of men to work as early childhood education teachers makes people assume that the profession is more suitable for women, so that there is an imbalance in gender roles in early childhood education institutions. But the discussion of gender issues surrounding the profession of early childhood education teachers still seems to often escape from our attention. This is the background for choosing this issue. The purpose of this study is to describe gender stereotypes in the early childhood education teacher profession and provide an alternative view of the importance of men's roles in this field. The approach used is a qualitative approach and the type is library research. Based on the discussion and analysis, it was concluded that gender stereotypes in the early childhood education teacher profession are at least tangible in three ways: a) existence of feminine identity attached to this profession and it is far from masculinity, so men are less interested in teaching young children; b) early childhood education teachers are considered as a profession with a minimum risk so that it is less challenging and considered more appropriate for women; c) early childhood education teachers are low-paid jobs and are considered more appropriate for women.
