Multimodality requires integration of heterogeneous transportation data to construct a broad view of the transportation network. Many new transportation services are emerging with being isolated from previously existing networks. This lead them to publish their data sources to the web -- according to Linked Data Principles -- in order to gain visibility. Our interest is to use these data to construct an extended transportation network that links these new services to existing ones. The main problems we tackle in this article fall in the categories of automatic schema matching and data interlinking. We propose an approach that uses web services as mediators to help in automatically detect geospatial properties and map them between two different schemas. On the other hand, we propose a new interlinking approach that enables user to define rich semantic links between datasets in a flexible and customizable way.

Regular users and enterprises are now increasingly dependent on web services. This growing dependence on one hand has simplified routine tasks, but on the other hand it has resulted in loss of direct control over the data. Nevertheless, both users and enterprises require simplified and generic solutions to access their data. The classical mediation approach from the data integration field provides a uniform query interface to diverse data sources hiding the underlying heterogeneity. But using this approach over multiple heterogeneous and autonomous web services has several open challenges. In this article, we will take a look at some of these challenges that need to be addressed for achieving a fully automated solution.

Linked Data on the Web is either created from structured data sources (such as relational databases), from semi-structured sources (such as Wikipedia), or from unstructured sources (such as text). In the latter two cases, the generated Linked Data will likely be noisy and incomplete. In this paper, we present two algorithms that exploit statistical distributions of properties and types for enhancing the quality of incomplete and noisy Linked Data sets: SDType adds missing type statements, and SDValidate identifies faulty statements. Neither of the algorithms uses external knowledge, i.e., they operate only on the data itself. We evaluate the algorithms on the DBpedia and NELL knowledge bases, showing that they are both accurate as well as scalable. Both algorithms have been used for building the DBpedia 3.9 release: With SDType, 3.4 million missing type statements have been added, while using SDValidate, 13,000 erroneous RDF statements have been removed from the knowledge base.

More and more systems provide data through web service interfaces and these data have to be integrated with the legacy relational databases of the enterprise. The integration is usually done with enterprise information integration systems which provide a uniform query language to all information sources, therefore the XML data sources of Web services having a procedural access interface have to be matched with relational data sources having a database interface. In this chapter the authors provide a solution to this problem by describing the Web service wrapper component of the SINTAGMA Enterprise Information Integration system. They demonstrate Web services as XML data sources in enterprise information integration by showing how the web service wrapper component integrates XML data of Web services in the application domain of digital libraries.

Indonesia is a country that consist of various tribes, cultures, customs, religions and beliefs. This has become a special asset for the Indonesian people, but on the other hand it has also been disastrous because it can cause conflict with the another. Therefore the need to instill multicultural in people’s lives, certainly through education. Multicultural education should be taken from existing local wisdom, in here the author will take the local wisdom of Lampung which is called nemui nyimah as the basis of multicultural education in Lampung. This research uses a qualitative approach, with the literature study method, with in-depth analysis based on available data sources. The resukts of this study that the culture of nemui nyimah contained multicultural values such as sharing with guests, being friendly to guests, good manners, being generous with guests, which later could be developed in a formal education environtment.

In the leather industry, a production process that is the subject of many different disciplines is dominant. Many studies on these branches of science have examined the sector in detail in terms of production. On the other hand, studies dealing with the sector in terms of business administration department and sub-disciplines are not common. In this study, academic publications examining the relationship between the leather industry and the business administration department are the subjects. 98 scientific studies obtained after the search in the Web of Science database were examined in terms of the form of publication, the year of publication, the country where the publication was made and the sub-disciplines of the business department.

Abstract. Changes in the social behavior of KRL users, especially those of KRL users at Depok Lama Station, are one of the changes that have a significant impact on the progress of the Jabodetabek Commuter Line KRL transportation. This change was supported by the change in the KRL ticket purchasing system from paper tickets to E-Ticketing. The application of the E-Ticketing system to KRL transportation is one of the innovations launched by PT KAI in maximizing KRL transportation services. On the other hand, the application of the E-Ticketing system is also present as a solution in the midst of the problem of poor train service which causes train revenue to decline and the level of passenger confidence is also lower. For this reason, service improvements starting from the renovation of the station to the implementation of the E-Ticketing system are considered a way out to overcome the problems that occur. This article uses Anthony Giddens' structuration theory to understand how structures and agents collaborate to produce a new structure. Through the process of interviews, observation, and literature study, this article concludes that the implementation of the E-Ticketing system followed by several new policy implementations by PT KAI has been able to change the condition of the station area from dirty, slum, unsafe and comfortable and disorganized environment to better, cleaner, safer and more comfortable and systematic. In addition, the modernization of KRL services has also changed the culture of modern user behavior to be more orderly, disciplined and regular in using KRL transportation.

Resource Oriented Architectures use the fundamental characteristics of the web itself in order to provide and update content on the web. While much of the philosophy concerning REST has been around since the early 1990s, the tools for turning these philosophies into working systems are only now becoming feasible. The fundamental tenets of ROA — that the web itself is primarily a giant database, that resources are abstractions that can be manifest in different representations, that a query-oriented resource architecture is more robust than a verb-oriented services architecture, and that a common publishing and syndication protocol is necessary to make such an architectural system work — are being adopted increasingly by people who realize that services oriented architecture are not effective at getting data from users or providing it to them in an easy to use way, but that ROA can do precisely that. Such a shift in perception is necessary but will nonetheless take a while to happen. It's necessary because the amount of information on the web is piling up faster than it can be indexed, and because under the current architectures the cost of developing "editors" for that data is prohibitive compared to the value of that information. It's necessary because the data within organizations is getting more complex than can be readily handled with a name/value approach to application development, and is increasingly contained within non-traditional data sources — Excel spreadsheets or Microsoft Word documents, for instance, or external data streams. Adoption will take time, however, because such an approach reduces the competitive barrier impedence that corporations can utilize to sell services, because it will take time to educate people in the underlying technologies and because there is a long-standing belief that ROA and SOA systems are incompatible. The rapidity at which companies lined up behind AtomPub, on the other hand, points to the fact that many IT organizations recognize the value to themselves that an AtomPub-type architecture opens up, while the educational curve is frankly true of most technologies — it will happen, slower than its proponents may hope but faster than its critics anticipate.

One action of realizing the objective of the enactment of the Basic Agrarian Law is the implementation of land registration by using a Land Deed Official certificates as proof of registration of land. The existence of the certificate forms of the Land Deed Official regulated by the Regulation of the Head of National Land Agency Number 3 of 1997 which was then amended by the Regulation of the Head of National Land Agency Number 8 of 2012, both of them regulate about the Land Deed Official certificate using the land certificate forms. The legal consequences of the abovementioned fact raises questions of the followings: What is the legal standing of the land certificate forms issued by a Land Deed Official under the Regulation of the Head of National Land Agency Number 3 of 1997 which has been used by a Land Deed Official as an evidence of transfer of registration of land rights in the Land Affairs Office after the date of March 31, 2013 by the enactment of the Regulation of the Head of National Land Agency Number 8 of 2012 and what efforts should be taken by the Land Deed Officials in the event that the certificate forms of the Land Deed Official issued under the Regulation of the Head of National Land Agency Number 3 of 1997 is not acceptable as an evidence of transfer of registration of land rights after the enactment of the Regulation of the Head of National Land Agency Number 8 of 2012. The study is an empirical legal research, examining the gap between the theories (das solen) with the practices (das sein) in which in the Head of National Land Agency Regulation Number 8 of 2012 Article II point 1 letter a, stipulates that a land certificate form of the National Land Agency (BPN) can still be used. Whereas, in the letter b states that the land certificate forms of the National Land Agency which are no longer being used, shall be returned. In practice, in the Land Deed Official office, the use of a land certificate form of the Land Deed Official issued under the Regulation of the Head of National Land Agency Number 3 of 1997 cannot be accepted in the Agrarian Office. The data and the data sources of this empirical legal research are primary, secondary and tertiary data. The findings of the study indicate the legal standing of the certificate forms of the Land Deed Official issued under the Regulation of the Head of National Land Agency Number 3 of 1997 after the date of 31 March 2013 by law (de jure) is no longer considered as the certificate of the Land Deed Official, but as the evidence of the legal acts set forth therein as the perfect evidence. On the other hand, in practice, the certificate cannot be used as registration evidence by the Agrarian Office, and the solution is to summon the parties to re-sign.

Abstract Aristotle’s account of epistēmē is foundationalist. In contrast, the web of dialectical argumentation that constitutes justification for scientific principles is coherentist. Aristotle’s account of explanation is structurally parallel to the argument for a foundationalist account of justification. He accepts the first argument but his coherentist accounts of justification indicate that he would not accept the second. Where is the disanalogy? For Aristotle, the intelligibility of a demonstrative premise is the cause of the intelligibility of a demonstrated conclusion and causation is asymmetric. Within the Posterior Analytics itself, Aristotle does not account for this, but elsewhere he develops the resources for doing so: the cause is what acts on a substrate to actualize a potential in that substrate, resulting in the effect. On the other hand, it may well happen that two propositions entail each other, in which case one may as well justify the one on the basis of the other as vice versa.
