In this paper, we discuss major issues of mathematics teaching and learning in Nepal. The issues coming from theories such as social and radical constructivism suggest that teachers are not trained to use such approach in teaching mathematics, and there is a lack of teaching aids and materials and technological tools. The issues related to social aspects are gender issues, language issues, social justice issues, and issues related to the achievement gap. The cultural issues are related to the diversity of language and ethnicity. The issues related to political aspects are equity and access, economic status, pedagogical choice, and professional organizations and unions. The issues related to technology include the technological skills, use of technology, and affordance. Finally, we suggest that all the stakeholders should pay attention to resolving these issues by improving the curriculum, training teachers, resourcing the classroom with locally made and new technological tools.

Students that take the Web Design Technologies programming course think this course is difficult to learn because they need to master various programming languages which are Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), JavaScript (JS), and jQuery. Therefore, in line with the development of technology, lecturers should change traditional methods to modern learning methods with the use of technology that is suitable to the millennial generation. This situation is also due to the COVID-19 pandemic phenomenon which requires lecturers to act creatively in using teaching aids that are able to assist students' self-learning using online methods and distance learning. Therefore, this study was conducted to study the use of Battle Web gamification that was built using the ADDIE model as a teaching aid for the Web Design Technologies course. Questionnaires with six constructs were distributed to get feedback with the involvement of 53 students. Data were collected and analyzed using SPSS software. Item reliability is implemented to ensure the quality of the questionnaire items and the data obtained. The results show that students give positive results related to the use of Battle Web in their Teaching and Learning (T&L) sessions. Battle Web impacts students' learning process in terms of motivation, attitude, and cognitive development because Battle Web has appropriate multimedia elements, clear instructions and the language used is easy to understand.

In today’s techno-intensive world, technology is an integral part of education. Over the last few decades, technology has been playing an increasingly vital role in the field of education, which has led to a profound improvement in the teaching and learning processes. The present learning environment demands that the teacher be skilled in use of technology to educate his pupils in an effective and efficient manner. Additionally, the school curriculum has to be in sync with the modern technology. In others words the curriculum has to so designed that it is easy to adapt and integrate it with the modern technologies of teaching and learning processes. This scenario requires that the teachers are trained and adept at handling modern techno-intensive teaching aids so that both teaching and learning become a joy for the teacher as well as the pupils.

<span>Navigating safely in the real environment especially in the outdoor setting requires a blind person to be equipped with the spatial knowledge and possess the skills in mobility and orientation. The aims of this study are to investigate the existing wayfinding learning techniques taught to blind people and to identify the challenges during the teaching and learning processes. A two days of observation during a mobility practical session was conducted at Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB). The first objective was to explore the current techniques used by mobility instructor to teach visually impaired students for a wayfinding and second, to identify the challenges faced by the mobility instructor and the visually impaired students in the teaching and learning processes of wayfinding. The study discovered that the major problem faced by the mobility instructor was with the lack of teaching aids to describe a new environment to visually impaired students. This leads to the lack of time that caused the visually impaired students perceived insufficient information which was hard for them to construct the intended cognitive maps. From the findings, this paper concludes by discussing the recommendations primarily on the use of technology in addressing the problems identified in this study.</span>

This article reports key findings of a study which investigated the use of technology by 569 ‘digital natives' students for English Language learning and recreational purposes. Their views on the applicability of technological tools such as facebook, blogging and skype for English Language teaching and learning were also investigated. The findings showed that although the students expressed positive views with regard to the use of technologies for language learning, they seemed to use less technological tools for academic learning than for recreational purposes. Discipline differences were not a determining factor. In addition, they appeared to use similar well-established technologies rather than new and emerging technologies for both learning and recreation. Finally, they also appeared satisfied with their English instructors' teaching approaches.

Flipped learning empowers learners to take an engaging role in learning while educators assist the learning process. The employment of flipped learning has been confirmed to enhance the teaching and learning of English as a second language in previous studies. This study aimed to explore the application of the unified theory of technology acceptance and use of technology towards ESL lecturers’ intention to use flipped learning. This study used a quantitative research framework where a set of online questionnaires was used in collecting the data. A total of 206 English as a second language lecturers from four different universities participated in this study. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The result of this study indicates that only social influence is significant in predicting English as a second language lecturers’ intention to use the flipped learning approach. Furthermore, this study enriches the literature on 21st century education and the integration of technology in teaching and learning. In addition, this study could help educators and stakeholders in adapting or enhancing the flipped learning approach by distinguishing the distinct predictors of technology acceptance.
