<p>Arrowroot  able  to  be  alternative  food  because  it  has  high  enough  carbohydrate  content.  The  increase  of productivity of arrowroot can be reached by using plant spacing and fertilization. This study aims to determine the effect of plant spacing and fertilization, also their interaction on growth and yield of arrowroot (Maranta arundinacea L.). This research was held from March to November 2016 in the experimental land, Faculty of Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University. This research arranged in Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) consisted of 2 factors; dosage of N,P,K fertilizer (with 3 levels) and plant spacing (with 2 levels). Each treatment was repeated 4 times. The data obtained analyzed with analysis of variance and followed with Duncan Multiple Range Test at 5% level if any significant influences. The results showed that the interaction between plant spacing of 30x40 cm and urea, Sp36 and KCl 300Kg-1ha significantly increased the number of tillers and diameter of arrowroot respectively. The use of plant spacing 30x40 cm tends to increase growth and better yield. The use of 300 Kg-1ha Urea, SP36 and KCl fertilizer significantly increased plant height, while 150  Kg/ha urea,  SP36 and  KCl fertilizer significantly increased the number of tuber crops.</p>

This research aims 1) To determine the effect of interaction of different plant spacing and the provision of mulch to growth and yield of tomato plants. 2) To know the different spacing affect the growth and yield of tomato plants. 3) To know the use of mulch type effect on growth and yield of tomato plants. This research was conducted by using Randomized Block Design in Factorial (RAK) with 2 factors, first factor is plant spacing (J) consisting of 3 levels ie 40x30 cm (J1), 40x50 cm (J2), 40x70 cm (J3) . The second factor is mulch (M) consisting of 3 levels ie: without mulch (M0 / control), straw mulch (M1), plastic mulch (M2). The variables observed were plant height, number of branches, number of bunches, number of fruit, and fruit weight. Data were analyzed by using variance analysis (Anova), 5% level. The results showed that: There was no interaction between plant spacing and mulch on growth and yield of tomato plants. Treatment spacing 40x50 (J2) effect on the number of bunches of 35 HST, the weight of the first harvest fruit and total fruit weight. The use of straw mulch type (M1) has an effect on plant height, number of branches, number of 35 HST bunches, and total fruit weight.

Effect of Compost AndPhonskaTerhadap Fertilizer Plant Growth and Results Sweet Corn (Zea mays saccharata) Varieties Bonanza.The research aims to; determine the effect of compost and fertilizer PhonskaTerhadap Growth And Crop Sweet Corn (Zea mays saccharata) Varieties Bonanza. This study was conducted from April to June 2015, starting from site preparation to harvest. Place the District Education Research Road Teluk Lingga North Sangatta East Kutai. The method used in this study using a randomized block design (RAK) with 2 Factorial and each treatment was repeated 3 times. The treatment is factor 1: compost (K) with 4 levels of treatment are: k0 = no application of compost fertilizer (control), k1 = compost 10 tons / ha, equivalent to 2.53 kg / plot, k2 = compost 20 tons / ha equivalent with 5.06 kg / plot, k3 = compost 30 tons / ha, equivalent to 7.59 kg / plot. Factor 2: NPK fertilizer phonska (P) with 4 levels of treatment are: p0 = without fertilizer phonska (control), p1 = fertilizer phonska 400 kg / ha equivalent to 6,325 g / plant, p2 = fertilizer phonska 450 kg / ha equivalent to 7.906 gram / plant, p3 = fertilizer phonska 500 kg / ha equivalent to 9.487 g / plantAnalysis of data using tables of analysis of variance (ANOVA) with further testing Least Significant Difference (LSD) level of 5%. Parameters used; Plant height (cm) 20 DAT, DAT 30, 40 HST and 50 HST, 2. Age exit male flowers (day), age exit female flowers (days) Total cob crop (fruit), cob diameter (cm), Weight ear cropping (g), fruit Productivity (ton / ha).Results of analysis of variance showed that the interaction effect between compost and fertilizer npkPhonska not differ significantly affected the plant height 30 days after planting, 40 days after planting, 50 days after planting, the male flowers, female flowers, the number of cob, cob productivity. This is because the compost and fertilizer npkPhonska not influence.

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan organik (kompos gamal, dan asam humat) serta FMA (Glomus sp. + Gigaspora sp.+ Aclauspora sp) terhadap pertumbuhan serta hasil tanaman cabai pada tanah pasca galian C telah dilaksanakan di Gapoktan Simpay Tampomas, Sumedang sejak bulan Februari sampai dengan Juli 2014. Metode yang digunakan merupakan metode eksperimental berupa Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK),  dengan 8 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulang: a0 = kontrol, a1 = kompos gamal 5 t ha-1, a2 = kompos gamal 10 t ha-1, a3 = aplikasi FMA, a4 = asam humat, a5 = kompos gamal 5 t ha-1 + FMA , a6 =  kompos gamal 10 t ha-1 + FMA, dan a7 = aplikasi asam humat + FMA. Pengujian lanjut dilakukan dengan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi kompos gamal, asam humat, dan FMA tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter batang dan bobot segar buah, tetapi berbeda nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman. Pengaplikasian bahan organik hingga 10 t ha-1, asam humat, dan FMA belum berpengaruh nyata terhadap perbaikan kesuburan tanah pasca galian C (tambang pasir), karena kondisi tanah pasca galian C yang didominasi 75% pasir dan 50% batuan. The study which aimed to determine the effect of organic matter (gliricidia compost, and humic acid) also AMF (Glomus sp. + Gigaspora sp. + Aclauspora sp.) on growth and yield of chili plants on post-excavation soil C had been held in Gapoktan Simpay Tampomas, Sumedang from February to July 2014. The method was an experimental method a randomized block design (RBD), with 8 treatments and repeated 4 times: a0 = control, a1 = gliricidia compost 5 t ha-1, a2 = gliricidia compost 10 t ha-1, a3 = AMF, a4 = humic acid, a5 = gliricidia compost 5 tons ha-1 + AMF, a6 = gliricidia compost 10 tons ha-1 + AMF, and a7 = humic acid + AMF. Further testing was done by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the application of gliricidia compost, humic acid, and AMF did not significantly affect stem diameter, and fresh weight of fruit, but significant on stem height. Application of organic matter up to 10 tons ha-1, humic acid, and AMF had not significantly affect fertility improvement of post-excavation soil C (sand mining), because the soil C dominated by 75% sand and 50% rock.

This research was designed to study about effects of supplementation jengkol (Archidendron jiringa) peel powder on VFA molar proportion, production of methane, and hydrogen balance in vitro. The experiment used randomized block design with 4 treatments (0%, 2%, 4%, 6%) and 4 replications. The research observed of VFA molar proportion, production of methane, and hydrogen balance. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and the Duncan Multiple Range Test examined the differences among treatment means. The results showed that the supplementation of jengkol (A. jiringa) peel powder until 6% did not affect (P>0.05) VFA molar proportion but the treatment without supplementation of jengkol (A. jiringa) peel powder had the highest (P<0.05) methane and H2 production. It was concluded that the supplementation of jengkol (A. jiringa) peel powder until 6% decreased methane and hydrogen production but did not affect on VFA molar proportion.

The experiment was laid out in Factorial Randomized Block design assigning time of planting (Factor A), planting geometry (Factor B) with four replications to assess the effect of date of planting and planting geometry on growth and yield of Kalmegh cv. CIM Megha. The experiment was conducted at Experimental farm, Nalanda College of Horticulture, Noorsarai, Nalanda (Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour) in the year 2013-14 and 2014-15. Factor A consisted of three time of planting viz., 15th May, 01st June and 15th June and factor B consisted of two levels of spacing S1 (30 x15 cm) and S2 (30 x20 cm). Pooled data on different growth and yield characters revealed 15th June as  best time of planting of Kalmegh and proclaimed highest values for plant height (75.46 cm), Plant girth (7.69 mm), no. of secondary branches, no. of leaves per plant and total dry matter yield (31.75 q/ha) . on the other hand spacing level of  S2 (30x20 cm) also recorded highest values for plant height (68.75 cm), plant girth (7.75 mm), no. of secondary branched/plant, no. of leaves/plant and total dry matter yield (27.38 q/ha). The treatment combination of 15th June as time of planting and plant spacing of 30 x20 cm found best for planting of Kalmegh in the growing conditions of the Nalanda. It was followed by planting time 15th June and plant spacing of 30x 15 cm for higher growth and yield of Kalmegh.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of plant spacing on growth and yield of scallions. The experiment was designed in a randomized block design consisting of six form spacing treatments namely square 20 cm x 20 cm (BJ1), rectangle 25 cm x 16 cm (BJ2), rectangle 40 cm x 10 cm (BJ3), rectangle 30 cm x 30 cm (BJ4), rectangle 36 cm x 25 cm (BJ5), and rectangle 40 cm x 22.5 cm (BJ6) which were repeated four times.������������ The results showed that the spacing significantly affected plant height, number of tillers, fresh weight per plant and fresh weight per plot. Forms of plant spacing on 900 cm<sup>2</sup>/plant area, such as square 30 cm x 30 cm, rectangle 36 cm x 25 cm, and rectangle 40 cm x 22.5 cm produced plant height, number of tillers, fresh weight per plant, and fresh weight per plot better than spacing to a range area of 400 cm<sup>2</sup>/plant. Furthermore, form of a rectangular spacing of 36 cm x 25 cm (BJ5) produced the highest plant height, number of tillers, fresh weight per plant and fresh weight per plot compared to other treatments.

 This research aims to determine the type of shallot variety and the correct dosage for maximum growth and yield of shallot plants. The research method used an experimental method with the experimental design used was a single factor randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 6 treatments, namely A (Sembrani Variety and 100). ml/polybag), B (Sembrani variety and 120 ml/polybag), C (Sembrani variety and 140 ml/polybag), D (Mente's variety and 100 ml/polybag), E (Mente's variety and 120 ml/polybag), and F (Mente's variety and 140 ml/polybag) was repeated 4 times so that there were a total of 24 experimental units. The effect of the treatment was analyzed using variance and if the F test at the 5% level was significant, then to find out the best treatment was continued with the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) further test at the 5% level. The results showed that there was a significant effect on the types of shallot varieties with different dosages of NPK compound, on all research parameters. Treatment E gave the highest yield at plant height (44.49 cm), the weight of fresh tubers with leaves/clump (7.11 g), the weight of fresh tubers with leaves/plot (19.93 g), the weight of dry tubers with leaves/clump (5.90 g), weight dry tubers with leaves/plot (16.35 g). While treatment D gave the highest yield on the number of tillers (3.14), the number of leaves (6.97), the number of tubers (3.14). Treatment C gave the highest yield on tuber diameter (22.58 mm) and treatment A tuber length (31.48 mm).

Problems in the cultivation of plants pakchoy caused by the influence of the physical environment such as climate, wind, temperature, the intensity of solar radiation, humidity, and soil. The research aims to know types of mulch and patterns of the plant spacing for optimizing on growth and yield of pakchoy. This experiment had been conducted in the experimental field Margahayu, Balai Penelitian Tanaman Sayuran, Lembang on September-November 2016. The design of the research which used was randomized block design factorial with 9 treatment combinations and 3 replications. The first factor is “Types of Mulch”, the use of M0 (no mulch), M1 (black silver plastic mulch), and M2 (rice straw mulch). The second factor is “The Plant Spacing Patterns”, which are J0 (10x10 cm_triangle), J1 (20x20 cm_square), and J2 (30x30 cm_hexagonal). Data was analyzed with analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan Multiple’s Range Test (DMRT) at α=5%. The result showed that the use of black silver plastic mulch and spacing pattern of 20x20 cm (square) is a combination of the best treatment because it has the fresh weight of the canopy and the fresh weight of the roots of the most highest when compared to treatment with a combination of other, namely fresh weight of canopy 5,02 kg and weight of fresh roots 253,6 g.

The study was conducted in Pepara Village, Tanah Grogot District, Paser Regency. The research was conducted from October 2018 to February 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of planting distance and mulch use on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.). This research was in the form of an experiment using a Randomized Block Design arranged in factorial two factors with three replications. The first factor is the treatment of plant spacing with three levels, namely j1 = 60 x 60 cm, j2 = 60 x 70 cm, j3 = 60 x 80 cm. The second factor is the use of mulch which consists of 3 levels, namely m1 = no mulch, m2 = rice straw mulch, m3 = silver black plastic mulch.  Based on the results of the study showed the results that plant spacing had a very significant effect on the height of Chilli plants at the age of 2 MST and 4 MST, the number of productive branches, the number of fruits per crop of the second harvest sample, the weight of the fruit per crop of the second harvest sample, weight of fruit per bed and weight of fruit per hectare. The use of mulch also has a very significant effect on plant height at ages 2 MST, 4 MST, number of productive branches, the weight of fruit per crop of the second harvest sample, weight of fruit per bed and weight of fruit per hectare. While the interaction between the two plant spacing treatments with the use of mulch had no significant effect on plant height at ages 2 MST, 4 MST, 6 MST, the number of proactive branches, the number of fruit planted samples, the weight of fruit planted samples, fruit weight per bed and fruit weight per hectare.
