The study was conducted in Pepara Village, Tanah Grogot District, Paser Regency. The research was conducted from October 2018 to February 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of planting distance and mulch use on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.). This research was in the form of an experiment using a Randomized Block Design arranged in factorial two factors with three replications. The first factor is the treatment of plant spacing with three levels, namely j1 = 60 x 60 cm, j2 = 60 x 70 cm, j3 = 60 x 80 cm. The second factor is the use of mulch which consists of 3 levels, namely m1 = no mulch, m2 = rice straw mulch, m3 = silver black plastic mulch.  Based on the results of the study showed the results that plant spacing had a very significant effect on the height of Chilli plants at the age of 2 MST and 4 MST, the number of productive branches, the number of fruits per crop of the second harvest sample, the weight of the fruit per crop of the second harvest sample, weight of fruit per bed and weight of fruit per hectare. The use of mulch also has a very significant effect on plant height at ages 2 MST, 4 MST, number of productive branches, the weight of fruit per crop of the second harvest sample, weight of fruit per bed and weight of fruit per hectare. While the interaction between the two plant spacing treatments with the use of mulch had no significant effect on plant height at ages 2 MST, 4 MST, 6 MST, the number of proactive branches, the number of fruit planted samples, the weight of fruit planted samples, fruit weight per bed and fruit weight per hectare.

The use of straw mulch type (M1) has an effect on plant height, number of branches, number of 35 HST bunches, and total fruit weight.

Effect of tillage and plant spacing on growth and yield of onion tiwai (Eleutherine americana Merr.). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the response of the growth and yield of onion tiwai to the treatment and processing of soil and plant spacing parameters diperlakukan.Penelitian was conducted for 3 months starting in December 2009 until March 2010, research carried out in Loa Janan Ulu Kutai regency. This research is a randomized block design Plots Divided (RAK split plot) with 2 x 3 factorial design, each treatment was repeated three times, the first factor of tillage (T) is t0: without tillage (control) t1: with processing soil, while the second factor is the spacing of (J) is j1: 20 x 25 cm, j2: 25 x 30 cm and j3: 30 x 35 cm. The results showed that treatment of tillage (T) real berpengauh on plant height parameter ages of 30 and 60 days after planting, the number of chicks aged 60 and 90 days after planting, planting tuber number, tuber weight perpetak and tuber production tons per hectare, on plant height parameter of age 90 days after planting and the parameters of the number of seedlings 30 days after planting showed no significant effect. At the treatment plant spacing (J) on all parameters showed no significant effect, ie plant height ages 30, 60 and 90 days after planting, the number of chicks aged 30, 60 and 90 days after planting, the number of tubers, tuber weight and tuber production tons perpetak per hectare. Interaction between tillage and planting distance (T x J) also showed no significant effect on all parameters: plant height is age 30, 60 and 90 days after planting, the number of chicks aged 30, 60 and 90 days after planting, the number of bulbs, heavy perpetak bulbs and tubers production tons per hectare.

The present investigation consisted of 9 lines, 3 testers with their 27 F1 hybrids developed through line x tester mating fashion in randomized block design with three replications. Parents and hybrids differed significantly for gca and sca effects, respectively. Among the parents, maximum gca effect was found in EC 112241 and Aruna for inter node distance, EC 112241 and Arka Anamika for single fruit weight, EC 109454, EC 169344 and Arka Anamika for number of branches per plant, EC 169331 and Arka Anamika for number of fruits per plant, EC 109454 and Aruna for plant height at final harvest. The crosses exhibited maximum positive significant sca effect was observed in EC 112241 x Aruna, EC 109454 x Kashi Kranti and EC 112264 x Aruna were found as good specific combiners for single fruit weight, number of branches per plant and number of fruits per plant respectively. The hybrid EC 112264 x Aruna exhibited maximum significant negative sca effects for inter node distance and plant height at final harvest.

ABSTRACT   "Effect of Concentration of Household Waste Liquid Organic Fertilizer and Planting Media on Growth and Production of Cayenne Pepper (Capsicum frutescens L)". The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer from rice washing waste on various growing media and the interaction of the two treatments on the growth and production of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L). This research was carried out for 4 months, starting from December 2020 to March 2021, the location of the research on the Practicum Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Widya Gama Mahakam Samarinda is located on Jln. K. H Wahid Hasyim, Sempaja Village, North Samarinda District, Samarinda City, East Kalimantan Province. The research method used a randomized block design with a 4 x 4 factorial experiment consisting of 3 replications. The first factor is organic fertilizer of rice washing waste (P) which consists of 4 levels, namely: P0 (control), P1 250 ml + 750 ml water, P2 500 ml + 500 ml water, and P3 750 ml + 250 ml water. The second factor is the planting medium (M) which consists of 4 levels, namely M0 (control) 15 kg, M1 soil 10 kg + husk charcoal 5 kg (2: 1), M2 soil 10 kg + sawdust 5 kg (2: 1) , M3 soil 5 kg + husk charcoal 5 kg + sawdust 5 kg ( 1 : 1 : 1 ). Observation variables were plant height, stem diameter, harvest age, and fruit weight. The results showed that the effect of liquid organic fertilizer from rice washing waste on various planting media and the interaction of the two treatments did not give the best effect on the growth and production of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L). This study aims to examine the effect of concentration of liquid organic fertilizer supermes on various spacing to the growth and yield of onion. The experiment was conducted in Dusun Telaga Kodok, Hitu Lama Village, Leihitu Barat District, Central Maluku District, from March to April 2017. The experiment used was a Randomized Block Design with three replications. The concentration of liquid organic fertilizer supermes consists of: 0, 2, 4, 6 mL/L water. Plant ing distance consists of: 10 × 15 cm, 15 × 15 cm and 20 × 15 cm. Varieties used were varieties of Bima Brebes. Parameters measured were plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers, root length, wet weight and dry weight of tubers. During the experiment, rainfall and rainy days were quite high at the research location. This condition causes the crop to be harvested at 41 HST because it is attacked by ground caterpillar, mosaic disease and purple spots. The application of liquid organic fertilizer has not shown any significant effect to the growth and yield parameters of shallot crop. Planting distance of 15 × 15 cm shows the effect on plant height and number of leaves at 35 HST, tuber weight and tuber dry weight and there is a significant interaction on the leaf number at 35 HST with concentration of 4 mL/L water and Planting Distance 15 × 15 cm. Keywords: liquid organic fertilizer, planting distance, red onion   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh konsentrasi pupuk organik cair supermes pada berbagai jarak tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Dusun Telaga Kodok, Desa Hitu Lama Kecamatan Leihitu Barat, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah, dari bulan Maret sampai dengan April 2017. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan tiga ulangan. Konsentrasi pupuk organik cair Supermes terdiri dari 0, 2, 4, 6 mL/L air. Jarak tanam terdiri dari 10 ×15 cm, 15 × 15 cm, dan 20 × 15 cm. Varietas yang digunakan adalah varietas Bima Brebes. Paramater yang diukur adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah umbi, panjang akar, bobot basah dan bobot kering umbi. Selama percobaan berlangsung curah hujan dan hari hujan cukup tinggi terjadi di lokasi penelitian. Kondisi ini menyebabkan tanaman dipanen pada umur 41 HST karena diserang oleh hama ulat tanah, penyakit mozaik dan bercak ungu. Pemberian pupuk organik cair belum memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap parameter pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Jarak tanaman 15 × 15 cm berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun pada 35 HST, bobot basah umbi dan bobot kering umbi serta adanya interaksi perlakuan yang nyata terhadap jumlah daun pada umur 35 HST dengan konsentrasi 4 mL/L air dan jarak tanam 15 × 15 cm. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis kompos dan pemangkasan terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman okra. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan dan Laboratorium Hortikultura Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala Darussalam Banda Aceh, dari bulan Mei sampai Agustus 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial 4x2 dengan 3 ulangan dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur taraf  5% pada hasil uji F yang signifikan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis kompos dengan 4 taraf yaitu: 0, 75, 150, dan 225 g.polibag-1. Faktor kedua adalah pemangkasan dengan 2 taraf yaitu: pemangkasan dan tanpa pemangkasan. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, diameter pangkal batang, jumlah buah per tanaman, panjang buah, total berat buah per tanaman, berat berangkasan basah, dan Indeks panen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, perlakuan dosis kompos berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 45 HST dan berpengaruh nyata pada umur 60 HST. Pertumbuhan tanaman okra terbaik terdapat pada dosis kompos 225 g.polibag-1. Pemangkasan berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 60 HST, parameter pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan pemangkasan. Kombinasi perlakuan terbaik antara dosis kompos dan pemangkasan terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman okra terdapat pada dosis kompos 225 g. polibag-1 dengan pemangkasan.The Effect of Compost Dosage and Pruning on Growth and Yield of Okra Plants (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moench)Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of compost dosage and pruning on the growth and yield of okra plants. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden and Horticulture Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam Banda Aceh, from May to August 2018. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial pattern 4x2 with 3 repetation and continued with a 5% Honest Real Difference test on a significant F test result. The first factor was compost dosage with 4 levels, namely: 0, 75, 150, and 225 g.polibag-1. The second factor is pruning with 2 levels, namely: pruning and non- pruning. The parameters observed were plant height, stem base diameter, number of fruits per plant, fruit length, and total fruit weight per plant, wet strength weight, and harvest index. The results showed that the treatment of compost dosage had a very significant effect on plant height of 45 HST and had a significant effect on the age of 60 HST. The best growth of okra plants is in compost dosage 225 g. Polyibag-1. Pruning has a significant effect on plant height at 60 HST, growth parameters and the best result is in pruning treatment. The best combination of treatment between compost dosage and pruning on the growth and yield of the okra plant is in compost dosage 225 g. polybag-1 with pruning.

The experiment was laid out in Factorial Randomized Block design assigning time of planting (Factor A), planting geometry (Factor B) with four replications to assess the effect of date of planting and planting geometry on growth and yield of Kalmegh cv. CIM Megha. The experiment was conducted at Experimental farm, Nalanda College of Horticulture, Noorsarai, Nalanda (Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour) in the year 2013-14 and 2014-15. Factor A consisted of three time of planting viz., 15th May, 01st June and 15th June and factor B consisted of two levels of spacing S1 (30 x15 cm) and S2 (30 x20 cm). Pooled data on different growth and yield characters revealed 15th June as  best time of planting of Kalmegh and proclaimed highest values for plant height (75.46 cm), Plant girth (7.69 mm), no. of secondary branches, no. of leaves per plant and total dry matter yield (31.75 q/ha) . on the other hand spacing level of  S2 (30x20 cm) also recorded highest values for plant height (68.75 cm), plant girth (7.75 mm), no. of secondary branched/plant, no. of leaves/plant and total dry matter yield (27.38 q/ha). The treatment combination of 15th June as time of planting and plant spacing of 30 x20 cm found best for planting of Kalmegh in the growing conditions of the Nalanda. It was followed by planting time 15th June and plant spacing of 30x 15 cm for higher growth and yield of Kalmegh.

This study aimed to determine: (1) the combination of the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) concentration and nitrogen fertilizer dose on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) cultivar Dewata F1 (2) the effect of LOF concentration and nitrogen fertilizer dose which gave the best influence on growth and the results of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) cultivar Dewata F1 (3) correlation between growth components and yield of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) cultivar Dewata F1. The study was conducted in Nanggerang Village, Jalaksana District, Kuningan-West Java Regency, from July to October 2018. The method used in this research was the experimental method. The experimental design used was Randomized Block Design (RBD). This experiment consisted of 12 combinations of liquid organic fertilizer concentration and nitrogen fertilizer dosage, each of which was repeated three times, so that there were 36 experimental plots. The combination of treatments tested in the field are: A = LOF 0%, N = 67.5 kg / ha (150 kg Urea), B = LOF 0%, N = 90.0 kg / ha (200 kg Urea), C = LOF 0%, N = 112.5 kg / ha (250 kg Urea), D = LOF 15%, N = 67.5 kg / ha (150 kg Urea), E = LOF 15%, N = 90.0 kg / ha (200 kg Urea), F = LOF 15%, N = 112.5 kg / ha (250 kg Urea), G = LOF 20%, N = 67.5 kg / ha (150 kg Urea), H = LOF 20%, N = 90.0 kg / ha (200 kg Urea), I = LOF 20%, N = 112.5 kg / ha (250 kg Urea), J = LOF 25%, N = 67.5 kg / ha (150 kg Urea), K = LOF 25%, N = 90.0 kg / ha (200 kg Urea), L = LOF 25%, N = 112.5 kg / ha (250 kg Urea). The results showed that combination of liquid organic fertilizer concentration and dose of nitrogen fertilizer did not affect to all observed variables except for stem diameter at 21 DAP. There was correlation between the components of growth and the fruit weight of the crop.

Concentrations of Catalys Award Fertilizer Plant 2006 and Plant Spacing on the Growth and Production of Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). The aim of research to determine the exact concentration of the fertilizer plant catalys 2006, so as to provide maximum results, to determine the proper spacing of the plants of eggplant and to understand the interaction on the eggplant plants to fertilization and plant spacing. This study was conducted over five months, ie from May and October 2015. The study in the village Manunggal Tenggarong District Seberang Jaya Regency. This study uses a randomized block design with 4 x 3 factorial experiment consisting of three replications. The first factor is a plant fertilizer catalys 2006, which consists of 4 levels: namely p0 (without treatment), p1 (3g / 1liter water), p2 (5g / 1liter water), p3 (7g / 1 liter of water). The second factor is a spacing consists of three levels ie t1 (70cm x 70cm), t2 (70 cm x 80), t3 (70 x 90). The results showed that fertilizer treatment plant catalys 2006 did not significantly affect plant height, stem diameter, number of branches, number of fruits per plant and fruit length, but the real impact on the weight of fruit per plant that is the highest weight of the fruit crops 360.27 g with treatment p2 (5 g / liter of water) and fruit weight per plot is 2161.60 g, equivalent to 86.46 Kw ha-1 with a treatment p2 (5 g / liter of water). While the spacing of no significant effect on all parameters observed. There is no interaction between the fertilizer plant catalys 2006 and spacing of the growth and yield of eggplant.
