scholarly journals DEVELOPING TEXT-BASED AND CHARACTER-BASED INDONESIAN TEXTBOOK THROUGH ACTIVE LEARNING TO IMPROVE THE SCIENTIFIC WRITING SKILL

<p>The purpose of this study was to describe (1) students’ and lecturers’needs on text-based and character-based Indonesian textbook; (2) development of text-based and character-based Indonesian textbook model; (3) the effectiveness of the textbook developed, and (4) the dissemination of the product.The method was research and development which consists of four stages, they are: (1) Exploration, (2) Model Development, (3) Model Testing, and (4) Disemination. The research approach in the exploration stage was qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis technique was done by interactive analysis model. Experimental research was done in the model testing stage.The results of this study: (1) exploration stage showed that the Indonesian textbooks used in UNS, UMS, and UNISRI Surakarta, have not been in accordance with the needs of students and lecturers, (2) model development stage produced a character-based scientific writing textbook through preliminary field testing; and (3) the effectiveness testing showed that the value of t obtained was 0.17 which then compared with the value of t table (with N = 90, α = 0.05) pointing 1.64. Thus, the t-obtained (0.17) &gt; t-table (1.64), the hypothesis was accepted (Ho was rejected) and the textbook was stated significant.This means that the text-based and character-based Indonesian textbook was effective to improve scientific writing skills.</p>

The purposes of this study are to describe: (1) the students’ and lecturers’ needs on the Theater Education Textbook, (2) the development of the textbook model, (3) the effectiveness testing on the designed textbook, and (4) the result of the textbook dissemination. This research was Research and Development using Borg and Gall’s framework that consisted of 4 stages: (1) exploration, (2) model development, (3) model testing, and (4) dissemination. The research approach used in the exploration stage was a qualitative descriptive approach. The data were collected through documentation study, observation, in-depth interview, and questionnaire. The data were then analyzed by using interactive analysis model. Model testing was done by experimental research. The results of this research were: (1) the exploration stage showed that the Theater Education Textbook used in Undergraduate Elementary Teacher Education (ETE) Program of Sebelas Maret University, Muhammadiyah University, and Slamet Riyadi University Surakarta did not meet the students’ and lecturers’ needs, (2) the theater education textbook was developed through preliminary field testing; and (3) testing phase of textbook effectiveness was done through main field testing. The value of t-obtained is 0.17 and t-table (0.05; 173) = 1.64. Thus, the critical area {t <-1.64 or t> 1.64}. Since t-obtained (0.17) < t-table (1.64) H0: μ1 ≠ μ2 was accepted. This means that the theater script writing textbook with character education and local wisdom was able to improve the students’ scriptwriting ability.

The results of this research were: (1) </em><em>the </em><em>exploration stage showed that the </em><em>poetry and drama learning </em><em>textbook used by </em><em>Elementary Teacher Education Program (ETEP) </em><em>student</em><em>sin </em><em>Surakarta </em><em>did </em><em>not </em><em>meet the </em><em>student</em><em>s’</em><em> and lecturer</em><em>s’ need</em><em>, (2) model development </em><em>stage producedappreciative poetry and drama </em><em>textbook through preliminary field testing; (3) </em><em>model </em><em>testing phase </em><em>was to test</em><em> effectiveness </em><em>of the textbook used </em><em>t-test </em><em>non-</em><em>independent technique</em><em>.It was </em><em>obtained t</em><em><sub>obtain</sub></em><em>of </em><em>23 </em><em>and </em><em>t</em><em><sub>table(</sub></em><em><sub>90; 0.05)</sub></em><em>of </em><em>1.67. Thus, t</em><em><sub>obtained</sub></em><em> (23)&gt; t<sub>table</sub> (1.67) </em><em>which meant that</em><em> the hypothesis was accepted (Ho was rejected). In conclusion, the </em><em>Appreciative</em><em> Poetry and Drama textbook model was effectively improve students' poetry and drama appreciation skills. Dissemination was done through national seminars, article writing in international journals, as well as the publishing of an Integrative-thematic Textbook of Poetry and Drama Learning</em><em> with ISBN</em><em>.</em></p>

The objectives of this research were: (1) to describe the students’ and teachers’ needs on Indonesian literature textbook with characteristic education using ICT learning based, (2) to describe the development of Indonesian literature textbook model using ICT learning based, (3) to describe the effectiveness of the textbook using ICT learning based, 4) to describe the result of textbook dissemination using ICT learning based. The type of research used was research and development proposed by Borg and Gall. Research which was done through 4 stages, namely: (1) exploration, (2) model development, (3) model testing, and (4) dissemination. The exploratory stage used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was done through document study, observation, interview, and questionnaire. Data analysis technique used was interactive analysis model. Model testing was done through experimental research. The results of this research were: (1) exploration stage showed that Indonesian literature textbook used in Public Elementary School 15, Public Elementary School 02 Kleco, and Public Elementary School 2 Sumber Surakarta had not been in accordance with the students’ and teachers’ needs, (2) Indonesian textbook was developed through preliminary field testing; and (3) model testing phase was done through experimental research in the main field testing. The value of tobtained (0.43) was then consulted to the value of ttable (with N = 90, α = 0.05) which was 1.64 so critical area {t <-1.64 or t> 1.64}. It could be concluded that  tobtained (0.43) < ttable, as a result, H0 was accepted and the research was stated significant. In conclusion, Indonesian textbook with character education was effective to improve students' receptive skills.

The purpose of this study was to determine the policy advocacy network in support of the expansion of the new South Garut autonomous region. The method used in this study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The technique of collecting data through interviews and documentation, informants were selected based on purposive sampling and snowball. The data analysis technique used is an interactive analysis model including data reduction, data presentation (display) and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that the Policy Advocacy Network in supporting the expansion of the New South Garut Autonomous Region, has so far made efforts to support the expansion with their respective roles. Both from South Garut academics, South Garut community leaders, especially the expansion presidium who are representatives of the South Garut community and the Garut district government itself as policy makers at the district / city level. The three actors of course network with each other to support the division of South Garut into a new district in West Java, through procedures that are regulated in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations in establishing a new autonomous region.

ABSTRAKGaya selingkung penulisan artikel ilmiah memiliki peran yang penting dalam membangun sebuah artikel ilmiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya selingkung penulisan artikel ilmiah dalam jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh universitas di Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa empat dokumen artikel ilmiah yang berasal dari jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan di Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sampling. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teori. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa artikel ilmiah dalam jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh perguruan tinggi di Indonesia memiliki gaya selingkung yang beragam.Kata Kunci: gaya penulisan, selingkung, artikel ilmiah, jurnal IndonesiaABSTRACTThe style of writing scientific articles published in scientific journals has an important role in the assessment of an article. This study aimed to describe whether the form of writing scientific articles style in scientific journal published by Indonesian universities. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The data in this research were four scientific article documents published in Indonesian scientific journal. Data collection technique used in this research was purposive sampling technique. The validity of data used triangulation theory and data analysis technique in this research used interactive analysis model. The results of this study indicated that the scientific article published in Indonesian scientific journal has various style and structure.Key words/phrases: style of writing, circle, scientific articles, Indonesian journal

The purpose of this study was to describe the promotive and preventive benefits of the BPJS program for the health maintenance of elementary school students in the working area of Belimbing Puskesmas. This type of research is qualitative descriptive with data validity test with ktriangulasi technique and data analysis technique using interactive analysis model from Miles and Huberman. The findings of this study indicate that the promotive benefits of health promotion are done by displaying banners, pamphlets, stickers and leaflets. Information provided such as TB alert, dengue alert, and the dangers of smoking. Preventive benefits are undertaken in an attempt to prevent, avoid or reduce the risk of adverse outcomes of the disease, through immunization and diphtheria injections for all primary school children. Keywords: Promotive, Preventive, Rights, Health

<p><em>The form of this research is qualitative descriptive used an approach of sociology literature. Data collection technique used: (1) document analysis technique which is novel Pasung Jiwa; (2) interviews technique with informant which are teacher and student. The collected data analyzed by interactive analysis model. The result of the research are: (1) Intrinsic element analysis of novel Pasung Jiwa, the main theme are freedom and the struggle against injustice. The figures analyzed the main character that are Sasana and Jaka, and the additional characters that are Ayah, Ibu, Cak Man, Masita, Banua, Memed and Leman, the Marjinals, Elis, and Kalina . The plot of novel Pasung Jiwa is chronological plot. The background scene happen in Jakarta, Malang, and Batam. The background time happen in 1993-2003. The view point used first person perspective; (2) Social criticism in novel Pasung Jiwa includes social criticism of government because of Orde Baru repressive government. Social criticism of arbitrary power. Social criticism of the economy because of monetary crisis. Social criticism of human rights because of Sasana’s struggle as a transgender; (3) The education value contained within novel Pasung Jiwa are: religious; honest; tolerance; discipline; hard work; creative; independent; democratic; curiosity; the spirit of nationality; love the homeland; appreciate achievement; communicative/friendly; love peace; like to read; social care; and responsibility; and (4) Novel Pasung Jiwa has a novel suitability criteria that can be used as teaching material</em></p>

The focus of this study is the pedagogical competence of the clerics in the learning of formal systems at Darussalam Sumbersari Kencong Kepung Kediri Islamic Boarding School. The focus is reduced in the form of questions, [1] Pedagogical competence of teachers in student learning, and [2]. Factors that influence internally and externally on pedagogical competence in learning. This type of research approach is qualitative phenomenology, with a case study design. Data collection is done by in-depth interview techniques, observation, and study documentation. While the data analysis technique, researchers used an interactive analysis model that contained four interrelated components, namely: data collection, data simplification, data exposure, withdrawal and submission of conclusions. The results of this study can be concluded as follows: [1]. Theoretical pedagogical competence is applied by educators in learning activities at Darussalam Sumbersari Islamic Boarding School, [2]. The application of indicators for the basics of pedagogical competence is an important factor in the clerical pedagogical competence at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School in Sumbersari Kencong, Kedung Kediri.
