<p>This research is motivated by the situation during the Covid-19 period which affects all sectors of life, including in the world of education. Teachers and students are required to be literate towards technology and literacy in learning to anticipate the spread of false information or hoaxes. The methodology used in this research is qualitative with descriptive analysis and data collection techniques in the form of a literature study. The findings of this study lead to the conclusion that the critical literacy-based historical learning model is important to apply because it is beneficial for teachers and students. The critical literacy learning model is designed with a critical pedagogical approach changing the wording hone critical thinking skills and to equip students with the skills to understand, critique texts critically, analytically, and evaluatively. While the benefits for teachers are an effort to improve the quality and effectiveness of learning by developing 21st-century competence.</p>

Learning activities in primary schools are still dominated by teachers, consequently the students' critical thinking skills are low. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation and improvement of students' critical thinking skills on the characteristics of wake up flat by using Contextual teaching and learning model. The results showed an improvement in the observation of students' critical thinking skills as well as aspects of teachers and students. The students' critical thinking ability in cycle I was 69 and increased in cycle II to 86. The result of observation of student aspect in cycle I was 76.75% with good qualification, and increased in cycle II to 92% with excellent qualification. It was concluded that, Contextual Teaching And Learning model can improve students' mathematical critical thinking ability.Keywords: critical thinking skills; Contextual Teaching And Learning model

This article was created to identify the effect of the Problem Based Learning model in improving students' critical thinking. The data collection method is in the form of a literature study. This article explains that problem-based learning is a learning model that focuses on students' solving problems in physics concepts. Critical thinking is the student's ability to analyze and evaluate the information received to conclude appropriately. The results of the literature study showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills in the learning process with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The application of Problem Based Learning has an average increase of about 50% after the learning pattern is applied. The existence of the PBL learning model is effectively used to improve students' critical thinking, which incidentally in solving physics concepts requires the ability to analyze and evaluate to conclude.

The research included Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the aim of knowing the improvement of critical thinking skills through the inquiry learning model. Classroom Action Research was carried out at the eleventh MIA 5 grade of sixteen state senior high school of Makassar. The research consisted of two cycles. The first cycle consists of two actions and the second cycle also consists of two actions. The procedure carried out in each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. For getting the data used the observation sheet and the results of test scores in each cycle. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and qualitative analysis. The results of the study showed that it increased through the use of the inquiry learning model. The students critical thinking skills in the first cycle increased even though the increase was not too significant than before the implementation of the inquiry learning model. In cycle one , the students were divided into 5 groups and learning using the free inquiry model then proceed to cycle two critical thinking skills increased from cycle one. In cycle two the number of groups was enlarged into 8 groups and in the learning process students were guided to find so Critical thinking of trained students and can be improved.Keywords: Critical Thinking, Inquiry Learning, StudentsPenelitian ini termasuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis melalui model pembelajaran inquiry. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 16 Makassar kelas XI MIA 5. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus. Siklus pertama terdiri dari dua tindakan dan siklus kedua juga terdiri dari dua tindakan. Prosedur yang dilaksanakan pada setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Untuk mendapatkan data digunakan lembar observasi dan hasil nilai tes pada setiap siklus. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meningkat melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran inquiry. Keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada siklus I meningkat meskipun peningkatannya tidak terlalu signifikan dari sebelum diterapkannya model pembelajaran inquiry. Pada Siklus I peserta didik peserta didik dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok dan pembelajaran menggunakan model inquiry bebas kemudian dilanjutkan ke siklus II keterampilan berpikir kritis meningkat dari siklus I. Pada siklus II jumlah kelompok diperbesar menjadi 8 kelompok dan pada proses pembelajaran peserta didik dibimbing untuk menemukan sehingga keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik terlatih dan dapat meningkat.Kata kunci: Berpikir Kritis, Pembelajaran Inkuiry, Peserta Didik

The low critical thinking ability of students in the chassis maintenance and power transfer learning so that the required competencies are not achieved. This study aims to analyze critical thinking skills in chassis maintenance and power transfer learning which is taught using the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematical (STEM) learning model and the conventional learning model. This research is a quasi-experimental type of research. The population in this study were students of class XI TKR 1 and XI TKR 2 as many as 69 students. Data collection techniques used documentation technique and test technique. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis to know the category of students’ critical thinking skills and inferential analysis, including normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis by using a t-test to know the comparison of students’ critical thinking skills in learning chassis maintenance and power transfer which is taught using the Science, Technology, Engineering, And Mathematical (STEM) learning model and conventional learning models. This study shows that descriptive analysis obtained a Mean of 83.49 that was classified into a very high category and very effective category. The t-test proves the data. The tvalue value is 8045, and the ttable is df 67 = 2,000, so it can be decided that H0 is rejected. Ha is accepted because tvalue > ttable, so it can be concluded that the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematical (STEM) learning model is effectively used to improve critical thinking skills compared to using conventional learning models.

One of the learning models in the 2013 curriculum is the inquiry learning model, so researchers are interested in finding out the application of the inquiry learning model in developing students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) subjects. The aim is to describe the planning, process, student responses, obstacles and efforts of teachers to the application of the inquiry learning model in developing students' critical thinking abilities in Pancasila and Citizenship Education subjects. The theory used by the inquiry learning model according to Komalasari (2017) and critical thinking according to Deswani (in Nana Najmina 2017). Research Method Descriptive study qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, literature study, and documentation techniques. Respondents of Pancasila and Citizenship Education Teachers and Class XI Students. Sampling was taken by means of Proportionet Stratified Random Sampling and data processing techniques by means of reduction, display, verification, triangulation. The results showed that with the application of the inquiry learning model students could develop critical thinking skills by solving problems. The obstacles faced are generally from the allocation of time, students and the many efforts made by Pancasila and Civics Education teachers. The critical thinking skill is one of the high-level thinking skills needed by students in the teaching and learning process. This research aimed to determine the effect of Think Talk Write (TTW) based picture cards on students’ critical thinking skills of class VIII on human digestive system material in SMP Negeri 6 Ketungau Tengah. The research was a quantitative approach using the quasi-experimental design. The populations were all eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Ketungau Tengah consisting of 41 students. The samples were VIII A class total of 22 students for the experimental class and VIII B class total of 19 students for the control class. Instruments used essay questions to measure critical thinking skills. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis using the t-test. The descriptive analysis results in the TTW learning model showed that there was an increase in the mean value of students' critical thinking skills from pre-test to post-test by 66.34% and the conventional learning by 33.30%. The results of the inferential analysis show that there is a significant learning effect on students' critical thinking skills (p: 0,000 < 0.05). The mean value of the TTW learning model is better than the conventional learning. It is recommended that teachers be able to implement the TTW learning model based on picture cards in science learning to improve students' critical thinking skills.

This study aims to explore information about the implementation of guided inquiry learning models on students' critical thinking skills. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of literature study research. The sampling technique in this study used secondary data sources, using data analysis techniques, namely reduction, exposure, and conclusion. The result of this research is that guided inquiry learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills. Science as a subject that is often associated with current issues is very suitable for fostering critical thinking skills and one of them is to increase student motivation. The inquiry learning model is designed as a contributive learning model for students. Inquiry learning model with stages: (1) planning; (2) preparation; (3) group division; (4) discussion; and (5) exposure, those steps are able to make learning meaningful, motivate students, and students can reconstruct knowledge independently, and foster critical thinking skills. The use of the guided inquiry model also contributes to students' critical thinking skills which consist of inference, interpretation, evaluation, and self-regulation.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) fisika yang valid berbasis etnosains dengan model Discovery Learning  untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan tipe rancangan level 1 yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan, yaitu: 1) potensi dan masalah 2) studi literatur dan pengumpulan informasi 3) desain produk 4) validasi desain 5) desain teruji. Validasi desain dilakukan oleh 2 judgement ahli dan 2 praktisi untuk menilai produk yang dikembangkan dari aspek penyajian, kelayakan isi, penggunaan bahasa, dan kegrafisan. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas aspek penyajian didapatkan hasil persentase sebesar 82,8% berada pada kategori sangat baik, aspek kelayakan isi sebesar 80,9% berada pada kategori sangat baik, aspek penggunaan bahasa sebesar 92% berada pada kategori sangat baik, dan aspek kegrafisan sebesar 97,9% berada pada kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD fisika berbasis etnosains dengan model Discovery Learning  yang dikembangkan sudah valid dan merupakan desain teruji dengan persentase total uji validitas yaitu 88,4% berada pada kategori sangat baik. Kata Kunci: LKPD, Etnosains, Discovery Learning , keterampilan Berpikir Kritis ABSTRACT This research aimed to develop a valid physical student activity sheets, LKPD based of ethnoscience with a Discovery Learning model on material and unit. This research was a type of development research (Research and Development) with type 1 design consisting of 5 stages, namely: 1) potential and problems 2) literature study and information gathering 3) product design 4) design validation 5) tested design. Design validation was carried out by 2 expert judgments and 2 Practitioners to assess products developed from aspects of presentation, appropriateness of content, use of language, and graphics. Based on the results of the validity of the presentation aspects, the results were 82,8% was in excellent categories, appropriateness of content aspects at 80,9% was in  excellent categories, , use of language aspects at 92% was in excellent categories, and graphics aspects at 97.9% was in excellent categories. Based on these results, it was concluded that LKPD based of ethnoscience  with a Discovery Learning  model has been valid and is a proven design with a percentage of the total validity test which is 88,4% was in the excellent category.Keywords: LKPD, Ethnoscience, Discovery Learning, Critical Thinking Skills

Mathematical Critical thinking is one of  mathematical abilities that must be obtained by students. Critical thinking is one of the high order thinking processes that can make concepts in student knowledge.  Students with critical thinking in mathematics learning mostly do rational activities such as interpreting information based on a particular theoretical framework, linking theory with practice, making claims and justifying it, utilizing data in support of argumentation, making relations or relationships between various ideas, asking questions, evaluating knowledge, predict, describe something, analyze, synthesize, and categorize. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Concept-Based Learning Model on the critical thingking mathematical abilities.The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of Concept-Based Learning Model toward mathematics critical thinking ability. The method used in this research is quasi experiment by Randomize Control Group Post Test Only Design with cluster random sampling technique. Indicators of mathematics critical thinking skills measured in this study include providing simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, making more explanations, and deciding an action. The results showed that the mathematics critical thinking ability of students in the experimental class for the five indicators that being analyze was higher than the ability of students in the control class. A fairly high difference in the indicator showed in give a simple explanation and concluding. and it means that the application of Concept-Based Learning Model significantly influences the  abilities  of students' mathematics critical thinking.
