Community Learning Center (CLC) is a strategic place for various community learning activities that focus on potency empowerment to mobilize development in education, social, economy, and culture including HIV AIDS prevention. Unfortunately, a few CLCs carry out the prevention education of HIV AIDS. This article provides a guide for educational and non-educational personnels in CLC/PKBM to carry out the integration of HIV AIDS prevention education either into CLC’s activities or subject matters within courses and youth programs. They are expected to be able to improve their skills in integrating HIV AIDS education prevention and taking a part to combat stigma and discrimination.

The purpose of the research is to validate the model design of Community Learning Center (CLC) management in improving education services. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The results show that first, the conceptual model consists of rationalization, assumptions, objectives, components, indicators, and model procedures; second, validation of model is conducted through discussions with peer groups and expert judgment; third, implementation of model trials is described in learning activities in CLC. The learning steps include the process of planning, organizing, implementing and assessing in learning. The conclusions of the developed model show effective results with indicators: first, there are active involvements and positive responses of community members to the learning activities; second, learning outcomes of community members show there is an increase in the ability of knowledge, attitudes and skills.

The aim of community service is to assist in the formation of the PKBM (Community Learning Center) in the Mandi Angin Village, Rawas Ilir, Musi Rawas Utara. The method used is the method of socialization, training and practice. This PKBM is a mentoring activity that drects to the formation of the PKBM structure (The center of community learning activities). This is the concern of the PKBM team because in the Mandi Angin village has not yet formed a learning center for the community. PKBM assistance activities (the center of community learning activities) will increase SDM leading to SDM productivity in Mandi Angin village. The results of the PKBM (community learning activity center) activities in the Mandi Angin village of Rawas Ilir sub-district, kabupaten Musi Rawas Utara, including: 1) The implementation of STKIP-PGRI Lubuklinggau team with the village government, so that the activities took place safely and smoothly, 2) The implementation of the socialization of the PKBM structure (community learning activity center) and responded wel by the community, 3) the device and the community who were enthusiastic in bathing to support the formation of PKBM in the village, 4) The constrains faced were related to the difficulty in getting high competent communities, as part of the PKBM structure, and 5) The village government and the community demanded that the PKBM activities be carried out well, not just in the form of structuring their activities. In general the results of this PKBM are the formation of the PKBM structure which will be continued at the level of PKBM implementation.

Current adolescent HIV infection rates support the need for early HIV/AIDS prevention education. This article describes a successful service-learning project in which undergraduate health education students developed and taught an elementaryschool HIV/AIDS prevention education curriculum that included a compassion component involving donation of teddy bears to community members affected with HIV/AIDS.

Community learning center (PKBM) tutors should have professional pedagogic, personal and social competencies. This study aimed at investigating whether the tutors in PKBM Miftahul Jannah, East Jakarta  have such competencies. This study also investigated the learners. achievement . A survey using questionnaire was conducted for that purpose. This study reveals that the tutors have such competencies whereas the learners' achievement vary. This study also provides suggestions to improve the tutors quality.

The purpose of this research is to give further description how leadership factor and organizationalr cultural factor can contribute or related to the performance gained by the tutors in the organization by looking at (a) the relation between leadership style and tutor’s performance, (b) the relation between organizational culture and tutor’s performance, and (c) the relation between leadership style and organizational culture with tutor’s performance. This positivistic research employed survey method and conducted in Community Learning Center (SKB) Limboto, Gorontalo District, as from September through November 2014. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires to the tutors, interviewing informant, and studying the document and then analyzed using path analysis. The result of the study indicates (a) leadership style has significant relation with the tutor’s performance, (b) organization culture has significant relation with tutor’s performance, and (c) between leadership style and organizational culture simultaneously has significant relation with tutor’s performance.

This study explored the role of a Community Learning Center (CLC) in fostering the community’s social entrepreneurship character and motivation in facing the economic challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study was an empirical examination of the phenomenon of social entrepreneurship. The descriptive method was used; the data were gathered through in-depth semi-structured interviews with 5 CLC managers and from secondary data. The results showed that the CLC designs programs, such as holding training to instil an entrepreneurial mindset and improve community skills. The CLC also provides personal assistance in starting a social entrepreneurship business through coaching and providing venture capital. Furthermore, the CLC provides free public classes on tackling the problems of modern social entrepreneurship. It carries out programs specifically designed to motivate people to face challenges and expand social entrepreneurship businesses. We identified the role of the CLC as a forum for socialization and for providing mentoring classes with successful speakers in the field of entrepreneurship as an effort to foster the character and motivation of the community to start social entrepreneurship.
