Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis waktu yang dibutuhkan forklift untuk membongkar steel coil dari palka kapal sampai ke truck lossing dan mengetahui besaran biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk menyewa forklift pada saat melakukan kegiatan bongkar steel coil. Metode penelitian yang digunakan penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan memperhitungkan perbandingan Data yang digunakan biaya penggunaan Forklift dengan membeli atau tetap dengan kondisi yang ada yaitu dengan sistem sewa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk menyewa forklift pada bulan Januari sebesar Rp. 130.200.000, sedangkan pada bulan februari sebesar Rp. 133.800.000. Jumlah pengeluaran tersebut tentu lebih besar dari biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk melakukan perawatan forklift perbulan. Apabila perusahaan membeli 1 unit forklift 15 ton, maka perusahaan akan menghemat pengeluaran sebesar Rp. 7.600.000 - Rp. 12.000.000.

In order to prevent distortion caused by heat which affects the material deformation, the properties controlled are required. The properties changes and the placement of the mounting position will effect the weld strength that causes cracks and broken joints, therefore it affects the safety of machine construction. Thus, the objective of this paper is to control the shape of cross member backbone assembly by gas metal arc welding (GMAW). The welding is produced by an automatic robot Yaskawa-MA1440 type. In order to obtain the good quality of the result, the welding shape is controlled by a parameters combination of voltage, current, and speed. Yaskawa-MA1440 type is used as the automatic welding machine. The main material used is cold rolled steel coil sheet MJSC270D-OD with a thickness of 1.2 mm. In addition, to control the welding shape, the specified shape design standard is followed include travel speed, gas flow, welding direction, torch tip distance to the workpiece, torch angle and welding angle. The results of visual and dimensional were also examined in this research. Furthermore, the macrostructure i.e. leg length, fusion penetration, throat thickness have been analyzed and confirmed based on the standards used in the auto body vehicle part company. The appropriate parameters for the finest welding shape are defined at the horizontal position using an electric current of 120 A and the welding voltage of 18 V (± 1 V). Thus, the measurement control of macrostructure is defined as reference parameters for mass production of cross member backbone assembly.

Abstract In order to accurately detect the abnormal looseness of strapping in the process of steel coil hoisting, an accurate detection method of strapping abnormality based on CCD structured light active imaging is proposed. Firstly, a maximum entropy laser stripe automatic segmentation model integrating multi-scale saliency features is constructed. With the help of saliency detection model, the purpose is to reduce the interference of the environment to the laser stripe and highlight the distinguishability between the stripe and the background. Then, the maximum entropy is used to segment the fused saliency features and accurately extract the stripe contour. Finally, the stripe normal field is obtained by calculating the stripe gradient vector, the stripe center line is extracted based on the stripe distribution normal direction, and the abnormal strapping is recognized online according to the stripe center. Experiments show that the proposed method is effective in terms of detection accuracy and time efficiency, and has certain engineering application value.

A kind of new steel coil upender clamping device was designed. The model was set up by use of SolidWorks and the reliability analysis and motion simulation was further performed in ADAMS. Because of risk at steel coil upender, once the accident appears, it gently slowed-up production and damaged the device, and it could cause people’s dying vitally, it is especially important to assure the longtime work and safety of device which we studied on. The results showed that the efficiency of turnover process of the device was high and the system could save driving force. These also provided some theory bases for the design of the device.
