The objective of this work is to suggest a conceptual framework on teaching capacitors and inductors in order to improve teaching abilities and to eliminate some fundamental misconceptions. The effort initially deals with resolution of physical structure and structural concepts/parameters of the devices and then resolves DC and AC responses of the inductors and capacitors. The resolutions are achieved by considering basic serious RL and RC circuits and resolving the circuits both theoretically and experimentally. As a result, an alternative teaching approach is offered and also a novel instructional material is developed and suggested. Some teaching clues are briefly inserted to guide teachers/instructors to reach a higher comprehension level. It is believed that the implications of the developed teaching material would be quite high and beneficial.

Motivating students in creative media courses can be a challenge due to the demand for creativity which is hard to betaught. Hence, motivation needs to be re-identified and re-addressed for the creative disciplines. Conventionally, creative media courses adopt the studio-based learning, and with this unique dynamic teaching approach, students arerequired to have face-to-face tutorial sessions with their tutors on a regular basis, as well as participate in groupprojects and produce creative artefacts of industry standard quality. In this paper, we investigate the criticalmotivators for creative media students and identify those factors throughout the study. The study aims to examinehow crucial and influential the autonomy, peer relationship and the future career opportunities for students’motivation. Research includes a survey with questions based on a conceptual framework adopted fromself-determination theory. The results suggest that autonomy, peer relationships and the opportunity for future careersare the primary motivators for students in the programme. The implications of the findings are discussed, andrecommendations are provided to faculty members in the creative programmes.

AbstractNot only do Denys Calvaert's paintings and drawings often featurc duplications of compositions or parts of compositions; figures and indeed entire compositions in mirror image repeatedly occur. In his drawings the artist made use of the counter-proof; he drew on the front and back of the paper, experimenting with various techniques and styles. Some of Calvaert's extant drawings were evidently intended as instructional material for pupils. He is known to have been the first artist to run an academy in Bologna. Drawings with indications of proportions, and a copy in which the model has been corrected, undoubtedly belonged to the teaching material in Calvaert's academy. He may have demonstrated mirror-image repetition in a different technique to his pupils as an aid to preparing a composition, a procedure which he himself had doubtlessly employed before.
