Using this measurement, we see how employee build relationship around their peer networks or clients virtually. We also able to see how knowledge network support organization performance.  The research objective is to map knowledge network and reputation formulation in order to fully understand how knowledge flow and whether employee reputation have higher degree of influence in organization knowledge network. We particularly develop formulas to measure knowledge network and personal reputation based on their social media activities. As case study, we pick an Indonesian ICT company which actively build their business around their employee peer knowledge outside the company. For knowledge network, we perform data collection by conducting interviews. For reputation management, we collect data from several popular social media. We base our work on Social Network Analysis (SNA) methodology. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the significance of TripAdvisor on reputation within the hotel industry. TripAdvisor encapsulates key themes in establishing an online reputation strategy in an evolving digital landscape. Design/methodology/approach Through the use of an exploratory case study, data were gathered primarily by means of a series of expert interviews within the hotel industry in Cyprus, today a mature holiday destination in Europe. Further data collection included a document search of presentations, annual reports, past surveys and sales and marketing literature from the examined industry. Findings Hotel communication practitioners are fully aware of the impact of social media in managing reputation. Constant monitoring, prompt responses, training and transparency were identified as key factors. Online reputation management needs to be taken into consideration when designing a comprehensive integrated communication strategy. Research limitations/implications Congruence amongst interviewees in certain areas could be on account of the homogeneity of practitioners, of their background and training and of similar organisational cultures across the locale of study. This leads to limits in the generalisations from this study’s findings. Practical implications Encouragement and training of employees were amongst the primary suggestions that emerged. An internal and external environmental scan, recognising possible strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, which could assist in the effective engagement and monitoring of the organisation’s online presence, were also suggested. Originality/value The uniqueness of the study lies in its exploration of reputation management of a well-known traveller’s platform by addressing social media content in both a proactive and reactive manner.

Internal controls promote efficiency, reduce risks of assets loss and help to ensure the reliability of financial statements and compliance with laws and regulations (Coco, 2005).Thus successful organizations set performance measures that focus attention that identifies and communicates the success, support organization learning and provide a basis for assessment and reward (Brown, 2001).In order to be able to perform, organizations should critically look at customers and all stakeholders in business and know how best they are satisfying their needs. Kloot (1999), adds that organizations should continuously improve their services through assets accumulation, create value, improve quality services and flexibility, internal control system is intervened with organizations operating activities and it is most effective when controls are built into the organizations infrastructure becoming part of the very essence the organizations success in terms of continued improvement on performance standards as part of the competitive advantage of the organization. However according to how work is carried out some companies, there have poor documentations, no segregation of duties which affect organizational performance. This study will investigate the purpose of ascertaining the effect of internal control system on organizational performance. This study used descriptive design in soliciting information on the effect of internal control system on organizational performance. Data was collected from the respondents using questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The study findings indicated that the organization carried out proper authorization and approval of transactions. Sometimes transactions were carried out without proper authorization and sometimes there were no approval, this created room for conducting fraudulent activities like misappropriations. The result of the study also shows that that almost 2/3 of the respondents did agree with the fact that the organization reconciled physical cash with cash book balances, while 21% disagreed on the facts. This was because most business purchases (receipts) were not recorded so identifying the actual value of the assets was difficult leaving accountants with no knowledge on the assets.Based on this results, the study recommends that management should develop more effective strategies that will ensure that internal control is effective and efficient, so that fraud perpetration in the organization will be significantly reduced. The study also recommends that the company should work to correct its internal control system by periodic reconciliation of accounts.

The case study presented in this chapter discusses the design and implementation of an online platform, “come_NET,” in the context of intercultural computer clubs in Germany. This tool was built in close cooperation with the children and adult computer club participants. It was designed to foster the sharing of ideas and experiences across distances, support collaboration, and make skills and expertise accessible to others in the local neighborhood contexts. In particular, the participatory-design process involving the children in the computer clubs fostered a profound understanding of the platform structure and functionalities. The study results show how younger children in particular were able to benefit, as the closed nature of the platform enabled them to gather experience as users of social media, but in a safe and controlled environment.

Haiti has experienced a series of catastrophic natural disasters in recent decades, resulting in significant loss of life and long-term damage to infrastructure. One critical outcome of these disasters is that there are approximately 400,000 orphans in the small population of just over 10 million. Throughout Haiti, children with disabilities are often considered cursed, and thus are rejected by the community in which they live. Haitian children with disabilities need creative and educational activities that will help them grow, develop, enjoy their lives, and become accepted members of the community. This chapter on the Haitian Center for Inclusive Education presents a case study of social media engagement and music learning, with an emphasis on social justice that has contributed to sustainable efforts.
