Abstract Geomechanical modeling is an integral part of the oil and gas industry and is used in all life cycles of the field - monitoring and improving the efficiency of well construction, choosing a completion system, modeling hydraulic fracturing processes, modeling development processes taking into account changes in the stress state of the reservoir, taking into account the fault, salt tectonics, control over the development of the reservoir, control of subsidence of the earth's surface. The success of geomechanical modeling directly depends on the quantity and quality of input data. In contrast to the geological and hydrodynamic models, in geomechanics there is still no unified approach and algorithm for quantifying the model error. The quality of the geomechanical model is defined as "satisfactory" / "not satisfactory" and "confirmed by actual data" / "not confirmed by actual data". In a series of articles on "Metrological support of a geomechanical model", the authors show an algorithm for a quantitative assessment of the error of a geomechanical model. The proposed algorithm takes into account the measurement error (in the well and in the laboratory), the quality of logging data, direct measurements or reconstructed measurements, the tightness of correlations (both for the results of core studies and for the reconstruction of missing logging data), the calculation of the uncertainty taking into account the calibration information. This paper describes a generalized algorithm for quantifying the error of a geomechanical model, presented in previous articles, and provides a method for quantifying calculate the uncertainty, taking into account calibration information, such as measurements of horizontal stresses, core studies in laboratory conditions.

Prospects for the further development of the oil and gas industry are mainly associated with the development and commissioning of high-rate fields. In this regard, the production of more economical and durable equipment by machine-building enterprises, an increase in the level of its reliability and competitiveness, as well as further improvement of technological production processes, is of paramount importance. The evolution of technology in a broad sense is a representation of changes in designs, manufacturing technology, their direction and patterns. In this case, a certain state of any class of TC is considered as a result of long-term changes in its previous state; transition from existing and applied in practice vehicles to new models that differ from previous designs. These transitions, as a rule, are associated with the improvement of any performance criteria or quality indicators of the vehicle and are progressive in nature. The work is devoted to the study of the evolution of the quality of high-pressure valves during the period of their intensive development. Keywords: technical system, evolution of technology, high-pressure valves, shut-off devices, gate.

The article considers a teacher as a subject of monitoring the professional readiness of future workers in the oil and gas industry, who has pedagogical subjectivity in its implementation. This quality of personality is characterized in the context of the teacher's monitoring competence. The structure of pedagogical subjectivity is determined by the features of professional readiness of workers in the oil and gas industry and its monitoring. It involves the relationship of theoretical, technological, and personal components. The article presents the results of a ascertaining experiment that established insufficient formation of structural components of pedagogical subjectivity in monitoring. The expediency of correcting the identified problem aspects and related professional development of teachers to monitor the professional readiness of future workers in the oil and gas industry is justified. It is assumed that the problem of their formation is characterized by industry specifics and is implemented by means of additional professional education.

Abstract The article is devoted to the use of electron beam welding for connecting pipelines in the oil and gas industry. The analysis of the proposed approach and equipment for creating permanent pipe-flange connections is carried out. The advantages and disadvantages of the proposed approach are considered. During the work, the welded seam was calculated. A set of interchangeable attachments for the turntable has also been developed. Thus, the purpose of this work is to improve the quality of welded joints of oil and gas equipment through the use of electron-beam welding technology and design of replaceable nozzles for a turntable for an electron-beam welding unit.

The application of the fast-growing information and communications technologies (ICT) in the industry has led to an increase in the quality of industrial processes. Through the application of Internet of Things (IoT) considered as a new technological concept in the oil and gas industry, it is possible to provide a high level of security by detecting previously the errors, the faults in real-time, to minimize the costs of production processes such as exploration, search, monitoring in the oil industry, to achieve the optimization of the activity to ensure highly productive performance. The application of IoT in the industry can lead to collect an exponential volume of data and, consequently, to some challenges in the analysis phase. Taking these into account, the article deals with the research on IoT technologies and the application of industrial processes to improve the quality of production processes in the oil and gas industry. In this paper, multi-layered analysis architecture for processing big data in the oil & gas industry is proposed.

AbstractThe CW6MC alloy is a nickel-based alloy used to withstand acidic environments, especially in the oil and gas industry where it is used in the production of valves, impellers, and pipes. This alloy is the foundry counterpart of the best known A625 for plastic deformation. Regarding nickel-based alloys, a scrap market like that in the case of steel has not yet been established, therefore, especially in the case of foundries, scrap generally comes from internal recycling (casting waste, feeders, sprues, runners, etc.) to be certain of the origin and quality of the material. In this work, four castings with different percentage of recycled content (0%, 30%, 70%, 100%) were produced in accordance with the technical specifications and analysed to evaluate the effect of scrap on the final chemical composition, the microstructure, the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Following the analyses carried out, it was determined that the amount of acceptable scrap content (of those analysed) without compromising the material properties corresponds to 30%.

Nanotransformations of a blanket at the fair dimensional combined processing with imposing of electric field the tool in the form of untied metal granules are considered. An object of researches are the figurine details applied in aviation, the missile and space equipment and in the oil and gas industry: driving wheels and a flowing part of cases of turbo-pump units, screws, krylchatka where there are sites of variable curvature with limited access of the tool in a processing zone.It is shown that the combination in the combined process of two-component technological environments of current carrying granules and the electroconductive liquid environment given with a high speed to a processing zone allows to receive the required quality of a blanket; action of electric field from a source with the increased tension allows to create at fair dimensional processingthe required peening from blows of firm granules. It gives the chance to raise a resource and durability of responsible knots of the aerospace equipment and oil and gas equipment, to expand the field of use of the combined processing with untied granules on a detailwith the sitesnot available to processing by a profile electrode.

This study sought to examine the relationship between project risk avoidance and project execution in the Nigerian oil and gas industry. Specifically, the study examined the relationship between project risk avoidance and four components of project execution (budget, quality, schedule and scope) among 51 oil and gas companies operating in Rivers State, Nigeria. To achieve this objective, 102 managing executives were given questionnaires, with 82 questionnaires correctly filled and returned. Data obtained were analysed using mean scores and Spearman’s rank order correlation analysis. The study found that projects risk avoidance was positively and significantly related to all four components of project execution. The main implication of this finding is that oil and gas companies need to invest heavily in innovative technologies and processes that will enhance their ability to avoid risk, thus improving the quality of projects they execute.
