<p align="justify"><em>The purpose of this research is to define a linguistic feature based on Donald Trump’s interview with TIME since Trump is a politician who has the power to influence others, and it can be extremely essential to analyze how the hidden meaning in his utterance images him as a public figure. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method because the object of the study is a transcript containing utterance and conversation. Grice's (1975) theory is used in this study to define the flouting maxim that occurs  during the interview. The result of this study is that 11 utterances containing flouting maxim of quantity, 3 flouting the maxim of relation, 2 flouting the maxim of manner, and no flouting maxim of quality is found in this study. After analyzing the finding, the most dominant found types is flouting maxim of quantity which means that Trump frequently gives more information than required to express his interest and to show his power as a president and his nationalism as representative of American. </em><em></em></p>

This research aimed to analyze the types of maxims of the cooperative principle that were used in the novel entitled The Fault in Our Stars. The data source of data was a novel entitled The Fault in Our Stars that fulfilled cooperative principle based on four maxims of cooperative principles: Maxim of quantity, maxim of quality, maxim of relation, and maxim of manner. Theory that the researcher used in this research is theory of Grice. In this research, a descriptive qualitative method was applied to answer the research questions. The observational method and non-participatory technique was applied by the researcher in collecting the data. In analyzing the data the researcher used pragmatic identity method based on the theory of Sudaryanto. The results showed that the level of cooperative principle was mostly used in the novel. The researcher found 30 data related to cooperative principle. The maxims of quantity have 15 data, 3 for maxim of quality, 10 for maxim of relation and maxim of manner has only 2 data.

This study is aimed to analyze what the feminism varieties and how is the feminism in patriarchal reflected by main character Annisa in Perempuan Berkalung Sorban movie. This study is conducted with the descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data of the analysis is Perempuan Berkalung Sorban movie and the data are linguistic feature that are format as sentence by the main character. The data were collected by the documentary technique and the instrument is documentary sheets. The study results that (1) The main character reflected the feminism varieties. Based on the Feminist Thought book there are three varieties of feminism. Liberal feminism, Radical feminism and Socialist Marxists feminism. The main character reflected the three kinds of feminism such as Liberal Feminism, Radical feminism, Socialist Marxist Feminism. The main character Annisa is reflected most dominant appeared Radical feminism. Annisa is powerful and rebellious women. She wants to get the equal with the man without any discrimination gender. (2) The feminism in patriarchal society in reflected is Annisa to represent the women movement to against all of objection toward woman. The each utterances of Annisa represent she is against all forms of women discrimination in private patriarchy and public patriarchy. The research focuses on the analysis of feminism in patriarchal society in the main character can be interpreted through Annisa as a main character and sentences of the movie and it is found of the main character reflected the feminism in a patriarchal society.Keywords:feminism, varieties, patriarchal, main character, movie.

This research was created based on concerning the importance of efficient language use. The language use can be called efficient if the message is clear, unambiguous and can be understood by both speaker and hearer. Cooperative principles proposed by Grice (1975) explained the way people use the language well and efficiently. There are at least four maxims that should be followed in order to have achieve connection during conversation which are 1) maxim of manner, 2) maxim of quantity, 3) maxim of quality, and 4) maxim of manner. In fact, there are several maxim violations happened in human life especially figured in the movie. The maxim violations may cause misunderstanding while the conversation is going on. This paper aims to analyze the maxim violations that exist in the movie titled Night at the Museum 1. It uses descriptive qualitative method with pragmatics identity analysis. The findings show that maxim of manner and quantity are the dominant maxims which are violated.

This research was aimed to analyze the pragmatic on Social Media. The analysis was focused on the application of cooperative principles. This research was conducted by using qualitative method. The data of this study were the Netizen comments on the influencer account. The account of the influencer was Anyageraldine. The data source is taken from instagram where nowdays many people use instagram for doing communication and interaction. The writers observed and choosed the data. There were some techniques of data analysis performed, namely: determining, observing, choosing, analyzing, and drawing conclusion. Based on the data analysis conducted, it was found that the cooperative principle at 2012 – 2016 are Maxim of Quantity is 4, Maxim of Quality is 2, Maxim of Relevance is 2, and Maxim of Manner is 7. And the writers also found the Cooperative Principles at 2017 – 2020 are Maxim of Quantity is 1, Maxim of Quality is 5, Maxim of Relevance is 7 and Maxim of Manner is 2. This is influenced by the influencer’s (Anya Geraldine) behaviour as we know that our behaviour make the people statements or comments, it means our behaviour also decided what the Cooperative Principles that the people will use.

This study aims at identifying the types of maxims flouted by the main characters of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and describing the context behind those floutings. The data were taken from the fourth season of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, an American police procedural comedy TV show. Documentation method was used to collect the data. Descriptive qualitative method was used to analyze the data by applying Grice’s Cooperative Principle (1975) and Cutting’s Theory of Context (2002). Based on the analysis, all types of conversational maxims were flouted, namely maxim of quantity, maxim of quality, maxim of relation, and maxim of manner. Another finding in this research is that the context behind the floutings were needed to understand the meaning of the utterances. Keywords:  Context, Maxim Flouting, Pragmatics

This research aim to analyze the maxim flouting that were flouted by the characters in the Coco movie script based on Grice’s cooperative principle. This research used descriptive qualitative method to support in analyzing the data. The data sources of this research were the coco movie and its script. The data were accumulated by downloading the Coco movie and script, watching the movie, and collecting the data from the script. The data analysis was conducted by organizing the data into narration, analyzing the data, and make the conclusion. The result of this research showed what types of maxim were flouted in the movie. The results of this research show that the maxim flouted 11 times in the whole dialogue of the movie. The maxim quantity flouted 5 times or 45%. The maxim of relation flouted 3 times or 27%. The maxim of quality flouted 1 times or 10%. The maxim of manner flouted 2 times or 18%. The purpose of this research is to identify forms of negatives politeness strategy in Javanese Dialect in Rimbo Ulu. This research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method through applying several stages. The first one was by collecting data through  observational method, eliciting technique and advance technique as record and note taking. The data is analyzed by using Yule’s theory and some books that related and supported the theory.for the analyse the data, the researcher used pragmatic identify (referential) method.
