This study was conducted to develop evaluation criteria to manage and improve the quality of the university's General Education curriculum. To this end, the evaluation area and evaluation criteria for the management of the quality of education were first derived through literature research. The evaluation tool obtained feasibility of feasibility verification and research results through two revised Delphi surveys (N=10). as well as through meetings with practitioners(N=7) in charge of quality management of the liberal curriculum. The results are as follows. First, this study developed a systematic evaluation criteria for the entire curriculum, such as curriculum development, support, operation, performance and improvement, rather than fragmenting the curriculum based on the CIPP evaluation model. Second, this study applied modified Delphi techniques to manage the quality of the General Education curriculum to derive a total of seven sub-items and 17 evaluation criteria. Also, the content feasibility (CVI) and inter-evaluator agreement(IRA) results developed evaluation criteria with a validity score above 0.80. Based on these findings, the university presented measures and implications for managing the quality of the liberal arts curriculum.

Abstract The paper presents the concept of a method ensuring quality of aeronautical data. European Union (among others UE 73/2010) as well as international (among others ICAO Annex 15) regulations introduce a number of requirements regarding the quality and safety of aeronautical data. Those directives set up a complementary regulations system. However with their objective and scope they determine mainly the specifications and requirements that are to be implemented and compatible. Mentioned regulations also refer to selected international standards (e.g. ISO 19157), focused on quality and safety of geographic data and information. Nevertheless within the scope of considered regulations and norms no algorithms and methods of ensuring required quality in the process of aeronautical data collection and processing were determined. Taking into account the identified needs, authors proposed the application of statistical method for process quality management – six-sigma.

Physical culture and sports services, like any other services to the population, must meet the established requirements and meet the needs of the customer. Quality management system (QMS) is a management system that directs and controls the organization's activities to ensure the required quality of services. The development of a program for the implementation of a quality management system in Ukrainian organizations that provide services is due to: the lack of uniform standards and procedures for all executive authorities; insufficient orientation of the activities of executive authorities to meet the needs of consumers, in particular, in the provision of physical culture and sports services (FSO); low quality of a significant number of services provided by executive authorities; the need for the implementation of measures to prevent manifestations of corruption of officials authorized to perform the functions of the state. The approach to the development and implementation of a quality management system for physical culture and sports population involves several stages, namely: identification of the needs and expectations of customers (direct consumers of services according to gender, age, etc.) and other stakeholders; establishment of policy and goals of the organization in the field of quality; identification of processes and responsibilities necessary to achieve quality objectives; identification and supply of resources necessary to achieve quality objectives; establishing methods that allow measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of each process; using the results of these measurements to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of each process; identification of means that make it possible to prevent discrepancies and eliminate their causes; introduction and application of the process of continuous improvement of the quality management system.

The aim of this paper is to theoretically evaluate the process of machining metallic materials and at the same time evaluate the cost reduction defined by the evaluation criteria. When cutting conditions and tool durability optimizing, it is necessary to apply certain optimizing criterion within certain restraining conditions. [12] The restrictions are given by technical parameters of a machine, tool, machined material, required quality of machined surface etc. The essential economic criterion is the amount of production cost. The notion of “machinability of materials” is a complex of characteristics of the machined material which is monitored in the view of its fitness for the production in a certain way of machining.

AbstractThe G8D method is one of the methods used in quality management using quality management tools and designed to solve problems occurring in production processes. The method consists of 8 disciplines and ensures the required quality of both production processes and finished products. It may also be applied to the optimization of production processes, while ensuring their safety. In the article, the authors presented the method of using the D4 discipline algorithm of the G8D method allowing to detect the root cause of the problem in the process and to indicate the so-called escape point. The authors presented the course of action for discipline D4 undertaken when the root cause of the problem is to be analysed. The procedure is presented on an exemplary process of the projection welding of a nut.

Background: We surveyed the quality of risk stratification politics and monitored the rate of entries to our company-wide protocol for venous thrombembolism (VTE) prophylaxis in order to identify safety concerns. Patients and methods: Audit in 464 medical and surgical patients to evaluate quality of VTE prophylaxis. Results: Patients were classified as low 146 (31 %), medium 101 (22 %), and high risk cases 217 (47 %). Of these 262 (56.5 %) were treated according to their risk status and in accordance with our protocol, while 9 more patients were treated according to their risk status but off-protocol. Overtreatment was identified in 73 (15.7 %), undertreatment in 120 (25,9 %) of all patients. The rate of incorrect prophylaxis was significantly different between the risk categories, with more patients of the high-risk group receiving inadequate medical prophylaxis (data not shown; p = 0.038). Renal function was analyzed in 392 (84.5 %) patients. In those patients with known renal function 26 (6.6 %) received improper medical prophylaxis. If cases were added in whom prophylaxis was started without previous creatinine control, renal function was not correctly taken into account in 49 (10.6 %) of all patients. Moreover, deterioration of renal function was not excluded within one week in 78 patients (16.8 %) and blood count was not re-checked in 45 (9.7 %) of all patients after one week. There were more overtreatments in surgical (n = 53/278) and more undertreatments in medical patients (n = 54/186) (p = 0.04). Surgeons neglected renal function and blood controls significantly more often than medical doctors (p-values for both < 0.05). Conclusions: We found a low adherence with our protocol and substantial over- and undertreatment in VTE prophylaxis. Besides, we identified disregarding of renal function and safety laboratory examinations as additional safety concerns. To identify safety problems associated with medical VTE prophylaxis and “hot spots” quality management-audits proved to be valuable instruments.
