This study aims to analyze financial well-being as well as the factors affecting the financial well-being of Vietnamese students. The study surveyed 658 students in Vietnam via email and Facebook groups with suitable survey subjects in the period from May to June, 2021. The study also collected demographic information and the status of independence or financial dependence of students participating in the survey in Vietnam. The study analyzes the direct and indirect effects of six groups of independent factors on the financial well-being of Vietnamese students through the PLS-SEM model. Empirical study results show that three factors, such as Financial Attitude, Financial Behavior, and Financial Self-Efficacy, have a direct impact, while two other factors, Financial Knowledge and Financial Skills, have an indirect impact on financial well-being of students in Vietnam. Although there are some limitations in the representative level of students participating in the survey, sampling methods and the number of respondents in the survey, the study achieved its research objectives. This study provides more empirical evidence and insights to the Ministry of Education and Training and economics universities in designing training programs that equip students with knowledge and skills to achieve financial well-being. AcknowledgmentThe author wishes to acknowledge support from the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City. The author would like to thank all the lecturers and students for their support in sharing the survey, and the students who completed the survey. The entrepreneurial creativity (EC) is an important factor for measuring the health and the well-being of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in any country. The purpose of our study was to examine the status of the Armenia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem through entrepreneurial creativity (EC) framework. The ‘Entrepreneurial Creativity and Growth’ (EC&G) model developed by Petrakis and Kafka (2016) was adopted. This model puts forward seven factors affecting the entrepreneurial creativity (EC), therefore, no other factor outside this framework was considered. Partial least square (PLS) methodology was applied to construct a predictive model of the seven factors dependencies on the (EC) and on each other. To increase granularity of the model, two to four sub-factors were constructed for each factor sufficient to affect the main dependent variable, the EC. Only two of the factors ‘Culture and Personal Characteristics of the entrepreneurs’ ( p = 0.001) and the ‘Availability of Relevant Institutions’ ( p = 0.007) were shown to have significant effect on the EC. The ‘Culture and Personality’ of entrepreneurs was significantly and positively correlated to the EC ( b = 0.444), which indicated that flexibility and risk-taking is the highest characteristics of Armenia’s entrepreneurs; thus, more creative. This article reports these findings and more of a study aimed at analysing the EC among the Armenian startup founders who established businesses within the years 2015–2018.

Abstract Introduction Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that requires continuous medical care. Raising awareness and determining the factors affecting awareness about diabetes and its complications have an important role in achieving glycemic control and preventing complications. Objective In this study, we aimed to determine the sociodemographic properties of participants, the status of patients’ awareness, and the factors affecting awareness. We also aimed to determine the relationships between these factors and diabetes regulation. Materials and Methods A total of 404 patients with diabetes who had presented to Istanbul Okmeydanı Research and Training Hospital, Internal Medicine and Diabetes Outpatient Clinic were included in the study. They were requested to fill in a questionnaire about diabetes awareness. Data about their survey results, sociodemographic facts, glycemic control, treatment methods, and complications were analyzed. Results 61.6% of the participants were female and 38.4% were male. Mean age was 54.5±11.4 years. 55.2% of patients were graduated from primary school and 22.8% had no education. Mean HbA1c value of the participants was 8%±1.9%. The mean score of the questionnaire, consisting of 23 questions, was 16.1±3.6. The ratio of patients who replied to 50% or more of the survey was 90.3%. The knowledge score was found to be positively correlated with education and income level, negatively correlated with age. There was no significant relationship between awareness and glycemic control (p>0.05). Conclusion Most of the participants had an adequate level of awareness on diabetes and its complications. However, the study showed that better awareness was not associated with regulation of the disease. It was observed that not only raising awareness but also methods for implementing knowledge to daily life are needed.

While there is a need to challenge mainstream media to improve their portrayal of women in contemporary Pacific society, there is also a need to counter factors affecting and inhibiting women’s engagement with that media. This not only requires the incorporation of gender equality policies in mainstream media policy but by ensuring that women are able to develop, produce and distribute alternative information and communications. For such advocacy to be successful, this commentary argues for capacity building and training for young women and rural women to make the connection with policy makers through their local programme productions so they can challenge personal, institutional and systematic barriers to their development and empowerment.
