This article aims to present the theoretical-methodological route, built by the first author in his Master's Dissertation under the guidance of the second, based on Hans-Georg Gadamer hermeneutic-philosophical philosophy. Its relevance is justified because it is a structured alternative for conducting bibliographic research within the scope of the Person Centered Approach (PCA). For this, we initially want to justify an epistemological choice of gadamerian hermeneutics in its relation to the research objective. Then, we present the conceptual network formed by the articulation of prejudice, language, tradition, update and fusion of horizons that supports this perspective, in a ways that allows, later, to systematize the phases of information investigation, comprehensive analysis and hermeneutic synthesis to the development of research on the proposed problem. The article ends with the observation of the potentiality and proficiency related to the approximation, and consequent articulation, between PCA and the Gadamerian philosophical perspective, with reflections on the implications regarding the use of a hermeneutic-philosophical method in the production of knowledge in the approach. It is an undeniable fact that environmental crisis take place everywhere. It causes environmental damage in various spheres This crisis demands some awareness from the society. Therefore, it is not surprising that many activists of environment create concepts, both secular and religious nuance, to reduce the crisis. In the last few years, concept of theology of environment started to appear. This concept is relevant to be discussed, as it could bridge the secular and theological theory of environment. This research aims to look what is the environmental theology ideas of Mujiyono Abdillah and Robert P. Borrong. Also, this research identifies the similarities and differences between Abdillah’s and Borrong’s thoughts as well as how their theories could contribute to solve the environmental crisis. This is a library research and the primary source of this study is a book entitled Agama Ramah Lingkungan - Perspektif Al-Qur’an (Eco-Friendly Religion - Perspective of the Qur'an) by Mujiyono Abdillah work and Borrong’s work entitled Etika Bumi Baru (Neo-Eco Ethics). The data is analyzed by the hermeneutic theory of Hans-Georg Gadamer. The research found out that environmental theology of Abdillah includes proportional theology and meta-social-system theory. While Borrong also constructs two theories of environmental theology: theocentric inclusive theology and new earth ethic. Through these theological theories, Abdillah and Borrong expect to awaken people minds so that they could restructure their relationship with the environment. Both of the authors employ different methods. While Abdillah only utilize theology as the basis of his argument, Borrong benefits from both theology as well as biblical ethics. These theories provide an invaluable contribution to be part of the solution to the environmental crisis as they could be the alternative environmental theory which change the attitude of the community in treating the environment.

Islam was comprehensive for all human races, in all areas of their lives, and whenever they live until the Judgment Day is coming. This is what is commonly called as Islam is universal. When The Prophet Muhammad SAW was performing of Hajj Wadā’ came down the al-Mā’idah verse: 3 has become an argument for some Muslims to show that Islam is perfect. In this time, many cases of a wrong understanding of religion's perfection will cause problems such as radicalism, disbelief of other groups, and even terrorism. Therefore, the writer used two problem statements: how is the interpretation of religion perfection in QS. al-Mā’idah : 3 according to Tafsīr Ibnu ‘Abbās and Tafsir Al-Azhar then how is the relevance of Ibnu ‘Abbas and Hamka’s interpretation related to the perfection of religion with the Indonesian context. The method used by the writer in this research is library research with descriptive analysis and used philosophical hermeneutics by Hans Georg Gadamer. Then, the writer concluded The meaning perfection of religion in QS. al-Mā’idah : 3 according to Ibnu ‘Abbas in Tafsīr Ibnu ‘Abbās which is Allah SWT has perfected the faith of the Prophet Muhammad and the believers, there is no need for additions and no deductions for eternity. According to Hamka in Tafsir Al-Azhar, the perfection of religion is the creed, worship, syariat, muamalah, and munakahat was sufficient and there will be no additional. However, Hamka allows for ijtihad in matters other than worship and syariat. Therefore, Islam does not freeze. Then, in Indonesia context that consists of various tribes, languages, cultures, and religions. Therefore, the meaning of surrender to God can be reflected in Indonesia. Because all religions also teach surrender to God or in other words “kalimatun sawā’”. Suppose someone has a resigned attitude to God. In that case, it will minimize fanaticism, claiming the truth of his religion, insulting other groups who disagree with their perception, the narrow meaning of jihad and the blasphemy of religion, even radicalism, because someone considers that in other religions there is also faith. However, change is greatly affected by time and space. In terms of religions, that is permanent, and some are changing or normative Islam and historical Islam. By having an attitude of surrender to God, it is possible to happen tolerant to other religions. In brief, Indonesia can still be a country with the slogan “Bhineka Tunggal Ika” which means “unity in diversity”.

This research aims to determine the ihwal of correspondence between humans and cosmos according to the Sufism cosmological’s thingking of Ibn ‘Arabi and al-Ishaqi, which of course these two ideas will be compared. This ihwal correspondence caused a polemic because it was closely related to divine thing. In the Sufism cosmology, humans and the cosmos were placed in a position that aimed at reflecting God’s self-manifestation. To determine the ihwal correspondence, this research use library research method. Meanwhile to achieve the result of data analysis as expected, the study uses inductive and comparative method also analysis from hermeneutic theory of Hans-Georg Gadamer. The result of this research determine that Ibn ‘Arabi and al-Ishaqi approve this two entity that become one each other to keep and preserve the actualization of God’s self-manifestation. But, according al-Ishaqi, this correspondence places the universe as part of human, because human is macrocosm and cosmos is microcosm. This thought different with Ibn ‘Arabi which positions human as part of the universe with the cosmic structure that said human is microcosm and cosmos is macrocosm. Despite different this specification, human and cosmos have to complement each other to achieve His-determination like interaction between subjects each other.

Abstract Although there is a dispute among grammarians as to whether Japanese is a tense or aspect language, time expressions tend to be made from the perspective of the speaker, i.e. under the aspect of an event that is “now, in this moment already completed, just happening, or not yet happening.” Evidently, the notion of a threefoldedness of time perception is predominant. A comparison of different time concepts and philosophies points towards a transcultural circulation of this notion. Hegel’s philosophy exemplifies the effectiveness and shaping function of this notion of threefold time concepts. Using Fujiwara no Kiyosuke’s poem Nagaraeba, I aim to show how the thesis of the threefoldedness also of the traditional Japanese experience of time, together with the thesis of the aspect orientation of the Japanese language, may help us to interpret and understand classical waka, along the lines of the so-called “fusion of horizons” (Horizontverschmelzung) described by Hans-Georg Gadamer.

Hans-Georg Gadamer has consistently advocated the idea of understanding as a form of “fusion of horizons” that implies the important and active role of each part of a cross-cultural encounter. This paper proposes philosophical hermeneutics as an alternative way of reading of postcolonial literature. E.M. Foster’s A Passage to India and Tayeb Salih’s Season of Migration to the North, are postcolonial literary examples of diversity and otherness which are analyzed in the light of the hermeneutical concept of “fusion of horizons”. These texts include a range of contexts and circumstances in which communication is challenged by the characters’ different cultural backgrounds, and understanding is only to be achieved through the process of “fusion” of horizons which helps rework prejudices in order to reach a clearer vision. In this context, the hermeneutical “fusion of horizons” represents an alternative to traditional ways of “knowing” and understanding.

THE HERMENEUTICAL DIALOGUE IN THE TECHNICAL-SCIENTIFIC AGE: interlocutions between Zygmunt Bauman and Hans-Georg GadamerDIÁLOGO HERMENÉUTICO EN LA ERA TÉCNICA: diálogos entre Zygmunt Bauman y Hans-Georg GadamerO diálogo é central para o acontecer da experiência hermenêutica. Palavras-chave: Diálogo; Gadamer; Modernidade; Bauman.ABSTRACTThe dialog is central to the happen of hermeneutic experience.
