Cooperative networking is considered one of the main enablers for achieving enhanced data rates in wireless communications. This is due to the fact that through cooperation the adverse effects of fading can be alleviated significantly. Thus, more reliable communication systems deployments can be devised, and performance enhancements can be achieved. In this chapter, the authors discuss the main aspects of cooperative networking starting from the main historical milestones that shaped the idea. Then they focus on the main mechanisms and techniques that foster cooperation and continue by studying performance metrics for various possible deployments, such as capacity bounds and outage probabilities. Finally, the authors take a more practical viewpoint and discuss aspects related to medium access control design and implementation that can serve as a stepping stone for the widespread deployment of cooperative networking.

Error Correction Schemes (ECSs) significantly contribute to enhancing reliability and energy efficiency of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). This review paper offers an overview of the different types of ECS used in communication systems and a synopsis of the standards for WSN. We also discuss channels and network models for WSN as they are crucial for efficient ECS design and implementation. The literature review conducted on the proposed energy consumption and efficiency models for WSN indicates that existing research work has not considered Single Hop Asymmetric Structure (SHAS) with high performing Error Correcting Codes (ECCs). We present a review on proposed ECS for WSN based on three criteria: Forward Error Correction (FEC), adaptive error correction techniques, and other techniques. Based on our review work, we found that there are limited works on ECS design on a realistic network model i.e., a modified multi-hop WSN model. Finally, we offer future research challenges and opportunities on ECS design and implementation for WSN.

Abstract These days population are taking a risk in their drive and in no time dangers are happening, and loosing lives by doing tiny wrongs when on drive near restricted zones. To escape these accidents to make population risk free traffic department are introducing signboards. But then again with the ignorance of the people, dangers are happening again, so “Li-Fi technology” is being used here to decrease the count of accidents. The transmission takes place with the help of LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes).Text, audio and video can also be transmitted with the help of this li-fi. The transmission is done when the light turns on and off. When this is compared to Wi-Fi it has many advantages like this light is not harmful to human body. The Transmission takes place in the form of zeroes and ones. Therefore to avoid accidents we suggested an intelligent, adaptable, and efficient model that utilizes Machine Learning techniques. The proposed system helps in vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to Infrastructure communication systems.
