The literature review of methods used for mastering objective investigation skills of the propedeutics of internal diseases course has been done, as well as questionnaire of second-year students of FSAEI HE N.I. Pirogov RNRMU MOH Russia from 19 to 20 years old. Provided form consisted of the basic part, prescribed to investigate the respondents subjective opinion about the level of mastering the basic skills, and 4 more specialized precising ones. The questionnaire has detected problems in studying the objective methods of observation related for more than half students. The heart-vascular system was acknowledged as the hardest part of the propedeutics of internal diseases course. Auscultation happened to be the most difficult skill. Congenital clubfoot deformity takes the 2 nd place among the malformations of the muskuloskeletal system and is observed in 4-5 ‰ of newborn. More often the deformity is bilateral, in 20 % of cases it is associated with other developmental disorders and is frequently seen in different syndromes. Clubfoot classifications are variable and are constantly improved according to the practical needs. It is generally assumed that clubfoot is a polyetiological disease. The main theories of its development are congenital (genetic), mechanical and neuromuscular. The majority of specialists consider that clubfoot formation is due to dysplastic process with the predominant foot and shin lesion. Bone, neuromuscular or vascular system hypoplasia predominate depending on the severity of the deformity. Evolution of the clubfoot treatment methods occurs in a spiral-form fashion from the conservative management to total releases and bone reconstructions, from low-invasive to excessively radical surgery. At present the spiral turn has stopped at the consisting of many stages low-invasive method of clubfoot correction developed by I. Ponseti which is considered now to be the golden standard of treatment.

The aim of this paper is to analyse different approaches to business English teaching in order to find solutions to an existing situation: a course in specialised language for second year students at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration which has to be finalised with the evaluation of the students’ linguistic competence according to CEFR. The question arising is how to combine different language teaching approaches such as CLT or TBLT and CLIL with CBI and CEFR? How to correlate the assessment of content with the assessment of linguistic competence? How to correlate linguistic levels with grades? We are trying to provide a few answers to these questions through a comprehensive literature review and personal assumptions based on teaching experience.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to emphasize the two basic skills necessary for today’s librarian to be successful in a library environment where technology and copyright are evolving and thus changing the manner by which a transition from print resources to digital can be successfully implemented. Design/methodology/approach – Literature review and commentary on this topic that has been addressed by professionals, researchers and practitioners. Findings – A combination of technology skills and an understanding of digital copyright issues are strengths that, for today’s librarians, are less unique and more typical components of a librarian’s skill set. Originality/value – The value in addressing this issue is to highlight the background that today’s librarian must bring to the profession in a highly digitized and more legally determined library environment.

The experience of usage of project method in teaching such disciplines as “Mathematics”, “Theory of Probability and Mathematical Statistics” for economic courses of higher education (specialist`s degree and bachelor degree) has been described the article. There is a brief analysis of the origin and development of project method, its modern classifications. Since these subjects are studied during the first and second year, the main difficulties in the implementation of project method are low research skills and teamwork of learners. Nevertheless, the authors suggest it is a group project, which has a number of advantages over the individual work. For example, the topic "Statistical estimation of the distribution parameters" presents the author´s approach to the implementation of the project activities. The structure of the project, the main stages of its formation and implementation are considered. The conclusion about the effectiveness of project method is done by comparing the control and experimental groups.

The purpose of this study is to explore further the quality of the basic teaching skills of teachers and the usefulness of students' cognitive apprenticeship abilities that are part of a teacher's basic teaching skills. This study uses a literature review research method that describes theories, findings, and other research materials obtained from reference materials to serve as a basis for research activities to develop a framework for cognitive apprenticeship and basic teaching skills of teachers. The results obtained are that the basic teaching skills of teachers still need to be improved. So we need a breakthrough to help improve the basic skills of teaching teachers, one of which is by applying cognitive apprenticeship skills in the teaching skills of prospective teacher students starting from habituation in lectures.

One of the visions common to all the Standards is that students and teachers should use mathematics in a variety of meaningful settings. Certainly, direct instruction, acquisition of basic skills, and textbooks still have an important place in teaching mathematics, but students must be actively involved in mathematical processes while they practice skills, master concepts and structure, and extend what they have learned.

AbstractInfant-parent psychotherapy in the second year of life presents specific challenges related to the child's developmental characteristics. The concept of projective identification is discussed as a mechanism for understanding the toddler's specific contribution to attachment disorders with the parent. A versatile clinical format is recommended including joint parent-child sessions, individual work with the toddler and the parents, and the use of therapeutic modes of communication specifically geared to the toddler's needs (“toddlerese”). Clinical examples and research applications are given to illustrate these points.

AbstractBackgroundAlthough the majority of Australian intensive care paramedics use the manual intraosseous infusion technique (MAN-IO), several other semiautomatic devices now are available, such as the bone injection gun (BIG) and the semiautomatic intraosseous infusion system (EZ-IO). Given the choice of devices now available, questions have been raised regarding success rates, accuracy, decay of skills, and adverse events.ObjectivesReview the literature regarding the use of intraosseous (IO) devices in the prehospital setting.MethodsSelected electronic databases (Medline, Embase, and CINAHL) were searched, and a hand search was conducted for grey-literature that included studies from the commencement of the process to the end of May 2010. Inclusion criteria were any study reporting intraosseous insertion and/or infusion (adult and pediatric) by paramedics in the prehospital setting.FindingsThe search located 2,100 articles; 20 articles met the inclusion criteria. The review also noted that use of IO access (regardless of technique) offers a safe and simple method for gaining access to the patients’ vascular system. A number of studies found that the use of semiautomatic devices offers better and faster intraosseous access compared with the use of manual devices, and also were associated with fewer complications. The findings also suggest that the use of semiautomatic devices can reduce insertion times and the number of insertion attempts when contrasted with the use of manual insertion techniques. Despite these findings, statistically no specific IO device has proven clinical superiority.ConclusionWhile manual IO techniques currently are used by the majority of Australian paramedics, the currently available evidence suggests that semiautomatic devices are more effective. Further research, including cost-benefit analyses, is required at a national level to examine skill acquisition, adverse effects, and whether comparative devices offer clinically significant advantages.OlaussenA, WilliamsB.
