AbstractMitigation of eutrophication, intensified by excessive nutrient load discharge in wastewaters regulated by restrictive legal requirements, remains one of today’s most important global problems. Despite implementation of the Water Framework Directive, the Urban Wastewater Directive and the HELCOM recommendations, the actual condition of surface water is still not satisfactory. In response to the above, the study presents an alternative approach for surface water protection against eutrophication based on the selection of appropriate nutrient removal technologies. An activated sludge model simulation was used to enable the identification of environmentally justified nutrient removal systems with lowest eutrophication potential of treated wastewater conditioned by bioavailable nutrient forms content. Based on the outcome of the study, the 3-stage Bardenpho system was identified as the most efficient for bioavailable phosphorus removal, while the Johannesburg system proved to have the highest efficiency for bioavailable nitrogen removal. The proposed eutrophication mitigation approach underlines the need for a reconsideration of current legal regulations which ignore nutrient bioavailability and key eutrophication limiting factors.

With the city subway and high speed rail opened, development of rail transit pays more and more people's attention. And the pantograph is the primary means of train running at high speed to get power. Using Simulink and dSPACE in combination, real-time captures the pantograph and catenary's motion. According to the state of the pantograph’s motion, analyses physical model, so as to achieve the purpose of independent manufacturing pantograph pantograph.

Abstract BACKGROUND In Japan, non-pediatricians face many instances in which they must see children, partly due to the uneven distribution of pediatricians among urban and rural areas. We aimed to develop and examine the effect of a model simulation-based training program in pediatric primary care for non-pediatric medical and ancillary personnel who express misgivings about seeing pediatric patients in an emergency setting due to their perception of their lack of training in this area.METHODS We instituted a series of workshops on common pediatric emergency situations, first with physicians, and later also including ancillary personnel, as a form of interprofessional education. The entire program was constructed around Design-based Research.RESULTS Feedback from attendees and facilitators was mostly positive, leading us to open the workshops to ancillary personnel.CONCLUSIONS From a training point of view, this epistemological investigation was successful in mitigating anxieties in individuals about seeing pediatric emergency patients. The effects on patient care remain to be studied.

Scene simulation technique has been widely used on the field of weapon developing. However, the problems such as technique intricacy and the difficulty of cooperating with work prevent it further developing. So the scene simulation approach to the complex system is put forward based on UML. It can be used to manage effectively the relation of scene simulation models with UML, the organization of models, and the maintenance or the modification of the simulation, to implement till the optimized project. Practical application showed that the approach is available for visualization of numerical calculation, simulation model, simulation interaction, maintenance and modification of scene simulation. It can improve actual operation efficiency considerable.
