: Nanotoxicity has become the topic of great concern in nanoscience and nanotechnology because of the increasing toxic effects of nanomaterials on living organisms. The toxic patterns of chemotherapeutic drugs, nanomedicines, and nanocarrier are closely associated. Long term exposure of nanocarrier composed of several bioactive (protein and peptide drugs) and chemotherapeutic drugs (anticancerous agents) leads to toxicity, selective induction of cytotoxicity in normal cells and organ. Important factors that contribute directly and significantly to the toxicity of nanoparticles (NPs) constitute particle size, shape and surface area. Apart from size and shape, the structure of the NPs also contributes to nanotoxicity. The review focused on the basic perceptions and mechanisms of nanomaterial-based drug delivery and nanotoxicity is introduced along with a detailed classification of drug delivery approaches i.e., carbon nanotubes, Quantum dots, fullernes and NPs and nanotoxicity models, supported by the most contemporary investigation studies with distinctive emphasis on the communicates between nanotoxicity and nanomedicines research, which is emphasized in order to discover future prospects for developing progressive therapeutic methods. In this framework, the present silhouette focused to assemble and present recent advances, outcomes, and interlinks between nanomaterial-based drug delivery and nanotoxicity disciplines in order to provide inclusive supervision for future nanotechnology-based medicinal research. Reactive oxygen stress with subsequent DNA damage is the major reason for nanotoxicity which can be overcome using green nanoscience uses of antioxidants and surface modification. The silhouette is established with future forecasts on the use of nanocarrier for manipulating the behavior living organism.

The approach expressed by its author A. Kopčaj as a Spiral management is based on the philosophy according to which the firm is perceived as a living organism. Living organisms are guided by the principle of reducing their entropy in order to ensure the inevitable energy as well as their long-term survival. The contribution is analysing one of the potential applications of the above-indicated approach to the firm in which the measurement of the so-called internal entropy gives the possibility to determine in a very precise way whether the new managerial approach can be or cannot be implemented in the firm in the current state or whether it is possible to define the strategies for cultivation of the firm´s social capital. The paper proceeds from the data acquired during practical applications of the Spiral management in the environment of the Czech and Slovak companies. Chemotherapy is the most commonly used treatment for cancer. However, due to their short circulation time and lack of specific biological distribution, chemotherapeutic drugs cause severe systemic toxicity. Using the agents specifically binding to the targeted molecules might resolve this dilemma. Aptamers can directly connect with the drugs or couple with the nano-carrier to reduce systemic toxicity. In this review, we elucidated the definition, characteristics and screening process of aptamers. The methods of drug delivery by aptamers were illustrated in details. Furthermore, clinical application of aptamers in recent years was briefly summarized and its long-term prospects were put forward.

Taxonomy of living organisms gains major importance in making the study of vastly heterogeneous living things easier. In addition, various fields of applied biology (e.g., agriculture) depend on classification of living creatures. Specific fragments of the DNA sequence of a living organism have been defined as DNA barcodes and can be used as markers to identify species efficiently and effectively. The existing DNA barcode-based classification approaches suffer from three major issues: (i) most of them assume that the classification is done within a given taxonomic class and/or input sequences are prealigned, (ii) highly performing classifiers, such as SVM, cannot scale to large taxonomies due to high memory requirements, (iii) mutations and noise in input DNA sequences greatly reduce the taxonomic classification accuracy. In order to address these issues, we propose a multi-level hierarchical classifier framework to automatically assign taxonomy labels to DNA sequences. We utilize an alignment-free approach called spectrum kernel method for feature extraction. We build a proof-of-concept hierarchical classifier with two levels, and evaluated it on real DNA sequence data from BOLD systems. We demonstrate that the proposed framework provides higher accuracy than regular classifiers. Besides, hierarchical framework scales better to large datasets enabling researchers to employ classifiers with high accuracy and high memory requirement on large datasets. Furthermore, we show that the proposed framework is more robust to mutations and noise in sequence data than the non-hierarchical classifiers.

The article is devoted to the issues of etiology, pathophysiology and clinical manifestations of spinal stenosis of the lumbar spine. The possibilities of modern instrumental diagnostics of the disease are described, the differential clinical diagnosis of lumbar stenosis is presented. The paper presents a detailed classification of spinal stenosis. The modern therapeutic tactics of the disease are described, indications for the surgical treatment of the disease are given. Modern methods of surgical treatment of stenosis are briefly and schematically described: decompression (microsurgical and endoscopic), interspinous fixation, stabilization (dorsal and ventral) and epidural stimulation of the spinal cord. The data on the immediate and long-term results of surgical methods of treatment are presented. The authors also presented their experience in the treatment of spinal stenosis of the lumbar spine. The use of differentiated surgical treatment tactics in 85–90 % of cases provides good and excellent results in the treatment of lumbar stenosis.

Retinoblastoma is one of highly curable diseases; today the total 5-year survival rate in patients with retinoblastoma exceeds 95%. The article summarizes the current world experience on treatment of patients with intraocular retinoblastoma. The treating skills of intraocular malignant tumor in children are a balance between the patient’s life and the preservation of an eye and its visual functions. The complex and challenging task is the treatment of common intraocular retinoblastoma groups «C», «D», «E» when the large size or localization of the tumor does not allow performing the local (focal) destruction of the tumor. As a rule, in such cases neoadjuvant chemotherapy (CT) is performed at the first stage in order to reduce the size of the tumor for further focal therapy. However, the analysed data on the effectiveness of neoadjuvant CT in combination with focal or radiotherapy demonstrated the limited possibilities of the proposed therapy. Local drug delivery in cancer therapy became a real breakthrough in the organ-preserving treatment of children with large intraocular retinoblastoma. The most widely used current methods of local drug delivery are intravitreal (IVitC) and selective intra-arterial chemotherapy (SIAC) as monotherapy or in combination with neoadjuvant CT and focal therapy which significantly increased the percentage of preserved eyes without radiotherapy administration or damage to the patient survival. The review discusses the different IVitC and SIAC techniques, chemotherapy schemes, dosages of chemotherapy, immediate and long-term complications of treatment.

The introduction and active use of information transmission and storage systems in the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Ukraine form the need to develop ways of guaranteed removal of data from media after their use or long-term storage. Such a task is an essential component of the functioning of any information security system. The article analyzes the problems of guaranteed destruction of information on magnetic media. An overview of approaches to the guaranteed destruction of information on magnetic media of different types is presented, and partial estimates of the effectiveness of their application are given by some generally accepted indicators of performance evaluation. The article also describes the classification of methods of destruction of information depending on the influence on its medium. The results of the analysis revealed the main problems of application of software methods and methods of demagnetization of the information carrier. The issue of guaranteed destruction of information from modern SSD devices, which are actively used in the formation of new systems of information accumulation and processing, became particularly relevant in the article. In today's conditions of development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, methods of mechanical and thermal destruction are more commonly used today. In the medium term, the vector of the use of information elimination methods will change towards the methods of physical impact by the pulsed magnetic field and the software methods that allow to store the information storage device, but this today requires specialists to develop new ways of protecting information in order to avoid its leakage.

Classification of internal and external risks of decline, affecting the sustainable development of the financial system, is presented. A risk management strategy is proposed that will allow monitoring of risks, thereby these measures will help reduce the loss of financial stability and ensure the long-term development of the economy of the region.

: In recent years, SLNs and NLCs are among the popular drug delivery systems studied for delivery of lipophilic drugs. Both systems have demonstrated several beneficial properties as an ideal drug-carrier, optimal drug-loading and good long-term stability. NLCs are getting popular due to their stability advantages and possibility to load various oil components either as an active or as a matrix. This review screens types of oils used till date in combination with solid lipid to form NLCs. These oils are broadly classified in two categories: Natural oils and Essential oils. NLCs offer range advantages in drug delivery due to the formation of imperfect matrix owing to the presence of oil. The type and percentage of oil used determines optimal drug loading and stability. Literature shows that variety of oils is used in NLCs mainly as matrix, which is from natural origin, triglycerides class. On the other hand, essential oils not only serve as a matrix but as an active. In short, oil is the key ingredient in formation of NLCs, hence needs to be selected wisely as per the performance criteria expected.
