Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS melalui outdoor activity sebagai metode pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas VIIA SMP Negeri 1 Kaligondang Kabupaten Purbalingga. Penelitian ini terfokus pada peningkatan keterampilan sosial siswa. Data peningkatan keterampilan sosial diperoleh melalui pengamatan, wawancara, dokumentasi, yang selanjutnya dianalisis untuk dibandingkan: (1) hasil pengamatan sebelum tindakan dan sesudah tindakan, dan (2) hasil pengamatan keterampilan sosial tiap siklus yang didukung oleh tanggapan berbagai pihak. Sebelum dilakukan tindakan, peneliti melakukan pengamatan keterampilan sosial dengan hasil rerata 2,79. Pada penerapan outdoor activitiy siklus I diperoleh skor rerata sebesar 3,12 (kategori cukup). Pada penerapan outdoor activity siklus II diperoleh skor rerata sebesar 3,69 (kategori baik). Pada penerapan outdoor activity siklus III mengalami peningkatan dengan skor rerata 4,16 (kategori baik). Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan keterampilan sosial siswa pada prasiklus, siklus I, siklus II, dan siklus III, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode outdoor activity dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan keterampilan sosial pada siswa. Dengan demikian metode pembelajaran dengan outdoor activity layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPS sebagai salah satu kegiatan pembelajaran, khususnya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa. Kata kunci: keterampilan sosial, outdoor activity, pembelajaran IPS SMP______________________________________________________________ IMPROVING STUDENTS’ SOCIAL SKILLS IN SOCIAL STUDIES LEARNING THROUGH OUTDOOR ACTIVITY IN SMP NEGERI 1 KALIGONDANG PURBLINGGA REGENCY Abstract This study aims to improve the social skills of students in social studies learning through outdoor activity as a learning method. This was a classrooms action research study involving grade VIIA students of SMP Negeri 1 Kaligondang Purbalingga regency. This study focused on improving the social skill. The data of improvement of social skills were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, which is then analyzed for comparison: (1) the result of observations before and after the actions, and (2) the result of observation of social skills of each cycle supported by responses from different  parties. Before the actions, the researchers conducted observations of social skills and the mean score was 2.79 (in the moderate category). Through the application of the outdoor activitiy in cycle I obtained mean score of 3.12 (in the moderate category). Through the application of the outdoor activity in cycle II obtained mean score of 3.69 (in the good category). Through the application of outdoor activity in cycle III, the student’ social skill improved, with a mean score of 4.16 (in the good category). Based on the result of the observations of students' social skills on precycle, cycle I, cycle II, and  cycle III, it can be concluded that the application of the learning method of outdoor activity in Social Studies can improve social skills in students. Thus the method of learning with outdoor activity feasible in learning social studies as one of the learning activities, in particular to improve the students’ social skills. <span>Lacking knowledge among adolescents affects their understanding of some problems related to sexual-reproduction health. Electronic media recognized as the favored source of information for adolescents. This research aimed to assess the effect of audio-visual media to the increasing of sexual-reproduction knowledge. We conducted a before and after without control informal experimental study design into 153 students in the 1st-3rd grade of junior high school. The effect of the intervention was assessed through the difference between pre- and post-intervention by using the Wilcoxon test. The mean score of the respondent pre and post-intervention was significantly increasing. The audiovisual increased the knowledge of the adolescent regarding sexual-reproduction health</span>

This research aims to study the respiratory modifications that happen after exercising in teenagers with Down syndrome (DS). The research is based on the pathophysiological theoretical notions regarding DS and theoretical–methodical notions of exercise. The study was conducted over 6 months, in the gym of the Faculty of Movement, Sports, and Health Sciences, on 20 subjects. Exercising was used as an instrument to reach several objectives, such as team work, motor skill learning and the reeducation of respiration. To reach these objectives, exercising was used as individual and team play, and to identify the modifications in the studied parameters, several methods were used: a social skill questionnaire and the monitoring of pulse and respiratory rate before and after exercising. The results of the study have demonstrated an improvement in the respiratory parameters, a consolidation of the motor skills and a development of the social skills. The social skill of persons with disabilities has been found to influence employment, schooling, friendships, community involvement, and overall quality of life. However, the ability of researchers and practitioners to assess social skills has been limited by reliance upon paper and pencil recording procedures. The development of computer technology offers refinement and expansion of the ability to adequately assess social skills. In this paper, the impact of technology on assessing social skills in persons with disabilities is addressed in terms of describing the technology, implications of the technology, and the role of micro versus macro analysis.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat peer assessment pada pembelajaran kolaboratif IPS yang baik, valid, handal, dan fit yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan penilaian kecakapan social siswa secara obyektif. Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan perangkat peer assessment kecakapan sosial yang disebut Rubrik Kecakapan Sosial. Perangkat pendukung adalah Jurnal Kecakapan Kognitif, Lembar Kendali Pembelajaran Kolaboratif, dan Rubrik Profil Keterlaksanaan. Subyek penelitian guru dan siswa kelas VIII (delapan) dari Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Data dianalisis dengan Structural Equation Modeling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Rubrik Kecakapan Sosial untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi, tanggung jawab individu, tanggung jawab terhadap kelompok, kerjasama dan kompetisi siswa. Hasil analisis rubrik kecakapan sosial, jurnal kecakapan kognitif dan lembar kendali pembelajaran kolaboratif dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa konstruk Rubrik Kecakapan Sosial akurat, konstruk Jurnal Kecakapan Kognitif akurat, dan konstruk Rubrik Profil Model Peer Assessment akurat, dan  model peer assessment mempunyai dampak positif pada peningkatan perolehan nilai rata-rata kelas pada kecakapan kognitif. Kata kunci: model, peer assessment, pembelajaran kolaboratif, elaborasi, IPS Terpadu______________________________________________________________ PEER ASSESSMENT MODEL ON COLLABORATIVE ELABORATION LEARNING FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY SOCIAL STUDIES IN THE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLSAbstract This study aims at developing instruments for peer assessment model on collaborative elaboration learning for Interdisciplinary Social Studies which are good, valid, reliable, and accurate, to guide teachers carrying out assessment for social skill objectively. This study is research and development to develop an instrument of peer assessment for social skills called Rubric for Student Social Skills. The supporting instruments are Journal for Student Cognitive Skills, Sheet for Control of Collaborative Learning and Rubric for Profile of Peer Assessment.  The subjects of this study were teachers and pupils in the eighth grades of Junior High Schools. The data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling. The results of research show that Rubric for Student Social Skills measures commucation skill, individual responsibility, responsibility to group, cooperation and pupil competision. The analysis result shows that Rubric for Social Skill, Journal for Cognitive Skill, and Sheets of Control Collaborative Learning are valid and reliable. The result shows that the construct of Rubric for Social Skill accurate, the construct of Journal for Cognitive Skill are accurate, and the construct of Rubric for Profil Peer Assessment accurate, and model of peer assessment have positive impact on increasing the average score on cognitive skill.Keywords : model, peer assessment, collaborative, elaboration, interdisciplinary social studies

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Metode Pembelajaran dan Rasa Nasionalisme terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS di SDN Anggadita V Klari Karawang. Peneltian ini menggunakan treatment by level desain 2x2. Untuk memenuhi persyaratan analisis dilakukan pengujian normalitas data menggunakan uji Liliefors dan homogenitas menggunakan uji Barlett. Setelah analisis varian (ANAVA) dua jalur untuk menguji perberdaan nilai rerata absolut antara dua kelompok yang dipasangkan, dilanjutkan uji Tukey untuk melihat interaksi kelompok dengan mengacu taraf signifikan ἁ=0,01 dan ἁ=0,05. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Secara keseluruhan, metode pembelajaran karyawisata lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran menggunakan metode inquiry. (2) Terdapat interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan rasa nasionalisme terhadap hasil belajar IPS. (3) Hasil belajar IPS melalui metode karyawisata lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar IPS melalui metode inquiry yang sama-sama memliki rasa nasionalisme tinggi, diterima. (4) Hasil belajar IPS melalui metode karyawisata lebih rendah dari hasil belajar IPS melalui metode inquiry yang sama-sama memiliki rasa nasionalisme rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran dan rasa nasionalisme berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Rekomendasi bagi guru adalah agar menerapkan metode pembelajaran sebagi salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa. bstract: This study aims to determine the effect of learning methods and a sense of nationalism on social studies learning outcomes at SDN Anggadita V Klari Karawang. This research uses 2x2 treatment by level design. To meet the analysis requirements, normality data were tested using Liliefors test and homogeneity using Barlett test. After a two-way ANAVA analysis to test the mean absolute value between two paired groups, the Tukey test was continued to see the group interaction with reference to significant levels ἁ = 0.01 and ἁ = 0.05. The findings of this study indicate that: (1) Overall, the method of learning field trips is higher than learning using the inquiry method. (2) There is an interaction between learning methods and a sense of nationalism towards the learning outcomes of social studies. (3) Social studies learning outcomes through higher field trip methods from social studies learning outcomes through inquiry methods which share a high sense of nationalism are accepted. (4) The results of social studies learning through a field trip method are lower than the results of social studies learning through inquiry methods which both have a low sense of nationalism. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the learning method and sense of nationalism affect student learning outcomes. The recommendation for teachers is to apply the learning method as a way to improve student social studieslearning outcomes. The learning outcomes of the Social Sciences study at the Elementary School level in Indonesia in general have not shown maximum results, this is because the social studies field includes subjects that are less attractive to students. This study aims to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning learning method and Conventional learning method as well as the ability to think logically towards learning outcomes in Social Sciences. This research was conducted on class VI students of the State Ibtidaiyah Madrasah in Ciputat, with a total of 60 students. This study uses treatment by level 2 x 2. The data analysis technique is the analysis of two-way variance (ANAVA). The results of the study showed that: (1) Student learning outcomes in social studies subjects taught using PBL learning method were higher than students taught using conventional method, (2) for students who have high logical thinking skills, the learning outcomes of students taught using the Problem Based Learning method are higher than those taught using conventional method, (3) for students who have low logical thinking skills, student learning outcomes are taught using the PBL method lower than students taught using conventional method.(4) there was an interaction effect between PBL learning method and logical thinking skills.

This research aimed to identify the effects of PECS on the social skills of a student with ADHD, who experienced delayed in communication and social interaction. This research used Single Subject Design, with A-B-A design as the research design. The data were presented using graphics and analyzed using visual analysis. The subject of this research was a first grader with ADHD in an Inclusive Elementary School.  The result of this research showed that there was an effect on the implementation of PECS on the social skill of a student with ADHD; the student’s tendency to refuse the invitation to play together with others decreased. Moreover, the implementation of PECS enabled the student to understand the kinds of social skills that could be done together through PECS’s interactive pictures. Furthermore, it was found that PECS could optimize the student’s communicative and cognitive aspects.

Recently many violent and moral degradations occurred in Indonesia have affected most of the youth. The moral degradation symptoms are indicated by the increase of drug abuse, free sex, crime, violent act, and many other disrespectful behaviors. The source of this multidimensional crisis and the nation’s downturn is the identity crisis and the failure in developing the nation’s character education. The IPS (the social studies) lesson is, in fact, aimed at improving the personal, social, and intellectual competences. Therefore, it is the time to integrate the character education with the school’s lessons, particularly in the social studies or IPS in the level of junior high school. In this case, the lesson is expected to be a tool and opportunity for students to develop various good characteristics such as religious, honest, integrited, tolerant, discipline, independent, hard worker, creative, patriotic, and friendly qualities.
