This study was research and development with a procedural model, which applied some steps for getting an assessment that is used for Senior High School students. The steps of study consisted of: (1) research and collecting information, (2) planning, (3) developing preliminary form of product, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) product revision, (6) main field testing, and (7) product revision. The assessment that was developed had been validated by experts of theory and evaluation, and then evaluated by a physics teacher, experts of theory and evaluation. The try out subjects of this reseacrh were the students of class XI MIA Sewon Senior High School. The data were collected by using validation sheets, observation sheets, and creativity tests. The techniques of data analysis used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The result of the research and development is as follows: (1) Creativity tests with an inquiry approach in gas kinetic theory topic in the form of an essay has been appropriate consisting of validity, reliability, and difficulty levels. The evaluation of creativity consisted of matter, construct and techniques aspect which are in the best category. (2) The learning process with an inquiry approach had an effect on student`s creativity which is interpreted by the value of effect size 0.202 which are in medium efffect. The main testing instruments points out the gain of student`s creativity who learned with an inquiry approach is higher. Keywords: assessment instrument, creativity tests, essay, inquiry approach

The study deals with the developing interactive media for senior high school students. The objective of this study is to find out how to develop interactive media for better speaking skill of senior high school students. The research was conducted by using Research and Development (R&D). The subject of this research was 2016/2017 students of the eleventh grade of Class XI IPA4 in SMAN 1 Batang Kuis. The number of the students was 30 students. The data of this study was collected by using need analysis questionnaire and experts’ judgment. Need analysis questionnaire was calculated by using percentage to get the information of students’ need before developing interactive media. Experts’ judgment was calculated by using likert data, mean and criteria interval of expert judgment to know the validity of interactive media which has been developed. After the data analyzed, it was found that the experts’ judgment result was 4.80 which had a very good criteria interval. The result of the research find that interactive media is a very good to be used in teaching speaking skill.

This research aims to identify class XI MIPA1 senior high school students, who experience misconceptions on the kinetic theory of gas. The method used to determine students who experience misconceptions is the Certainty Response Index (IRK) method. This method has four indexes in identifying students' mastery of concepts, namely lucky guess (LG), not knowing concept (NKC/TTK), knowing concept (KC/TK), and misconception (M). The subjects of the study were senior high school students in class XI MIPA1 in Tasik Malaya. The research instrument used was a kinetic theory of gas test equipped with an IRK scale assessment instrument. This research is a quantitative descriptive research that can determine weaknesses in understanding students' physics concepts with the IRK method. The results of data analysis using IRK revealed that students who experienced lucky guess (LG) were 9.0%, students who knew the concept (TK) were 35.2%, students who lacked knowledge or did not know the concept (TTK) were 21.9%, and students experiencing misconceptions (M) of 33.8%. Based on the sub-topic analysis, the level of misconception the results are also in the high category. Thus it was concluded that through the IRK method it was identified that most students were still experiencing misconceptions, did not know the concepts, and were lucky guessed in understanding the kinetic theory of gas in the class XI MIPA1 of senior high school in Tasik Malaya.

The research aims at producing a valid biology module with local wisdom-based to senior high school students of Lubuklinggau. The research used research and development design with local wisdom-based. The development of the module refered to four D model which was developed by Thiagarajan. The model consists of four stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. However, the research was limited on the development stage, particularly on validation stage. The validity test on this stage was a theoretic validity, which is executed by the three experts. The validation included material validation, construction/media validation, and language validation. The result showed that the development met the validity criteria with material validity score 4,165; construction/media validity score 4,259; and language validity  score 4,338 categorised to be 'very valid'. In conclusion, the biology module developed with local wisdom-based to senior high school students of Lubuklinggau was valid. Keywords: validity, biology module, local wisdom

Abstract In physics learning, students need to know the extent to which scientific concepts have been studied. Scientific literacy is the ability to make decisions based on scientific considerations, solve problems and apply the knowledge gained in everyday life. This study aims to scientifically analyse the scientific literacy ability of senior high school students on the kinetic theory of gases. The sample of this research is 90 high school students. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative. The results study show that high school students’ ability was very low, many students did not have scientific literacy ability on physics learning. The implications of this study can be used as empirical evidence that the scientific literacy of senior high school students on physics learning still needs to be improved.

Abstract Students need creative thinking skills, critical thinking, collaborative, and communicative in the 21st century in learning physics. In predicting further research, it is necessary to analyze the initial ability of students’ creative thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the profile of physics learning on the students’ creative thinking skill of high school students’ on global warming material and analyze the differences in students’ creative thinking abilities based on gender. Research method uses 100 samples of class eleventh grade in senior high school students’. Profiles of creative thinking skills of senior high school students’ on global warming were analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The results showed that the physics learning profile of students’ creative thinking skills on global warming material was relatively low, and there was a significant difference between the results of male and female students’ creative thinking skills. The results of this study can be used as empirical evidence that the creative thinking skills of high school students’ physics learning on global warming material still need to be improved. Further research is needed to overcome the low creative thinking skills of high school students’.
