As the development of the industrial revolution takes place, disruptions are happening constantly in almost every major sector of the current industries. Companies and organizations complained about the competencies of the graduates entering the work force. This matter questions the readiness of the education system in preparing the students for the real world. Problems in education such as the regulations, strict policies and instructions from the government are undermining the role of the teachers to do what they think best for their students. This standardization has harmed the motivation and enthusiasm to learn, especially in English language class. Lack of motivation and English Language competency could harm students’ opportunity in accessing the vast global network of knowledge. Merdeka Belajar and SOLE are the promising alternatives in improving ELT. This article is somewhat a position paper trying to clear one side of a debatable opinion about a hot issue. It aims to persuade the reader that our opinion is valid and defensible. In doing so, we then separate the discussion into several parts regarding the analysis of concepts of Merdeka Belajar and SOLE (Self-Organized Learning Environment) related to ELT and motivation in language learning, as well as innovation in education. HIGHLIGHTS: SOLE (Self-Organized Learning Environment) is a concept developed by Sugata Mitra, and the researchers at the SOLE Centre in Newcastle University. SOLE with its highly influenced Constructivism approach lets the learners to take steer of their learning process gives them the ability to make meaning of the subject on their own. Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) is a new concept that needs to be tread carefully to direct the discussion objectively.

The article is devoted to the subjective role of the student community in the e-learning environment. The basic personal attributes of a modern student required for successful learning in the electronic learning environment were defined, including proactive attitude, motivation, creativity, independence, persistence. The tasks that should be overcome by students to achieve the goal of successful learning were outlined as follows: to take personal responsibility for the process and the final result of learning, to increase their motivation and interest in a positive outcome, to be able to develop communication with other students and the lecturer, to associate the acquired theoretical knowledge with their experience and practical skills. Distant learners were outlined to face a variety of challenges from technical issues and lack of guidance materials to communication difficulties, which are just as important. The conclusion to be drawn is that the functions and competencies of both students and teachers are changing in the e-learning environment. Communication moves to a different level and starts to be from a peer to peer perspective. The e-learning environment requires students to be more self-organized, goal-oriented, self-conscious in the process of education, to realize the purpose of their cognitive activity, to be inquisitive and passionate.

The research is designed to study the effect of self-organized learning environment (SOLE) on the comprehension of the learners of English as Second Language at primary level in Pakistan. This study is conducted under the influence of Mitra (1999) experiments in child driven education. By using convenient sampling, two groups of thirty two ESL learners of grade 5th from one government school are selected randomly for the research. To find out whether SOLE is effective for learning comprehension, the researchers have used quasi experiment. The tools used for this experiment are pretest and posttest. One group of thirty two students is taken as controlled group and is taught how to have ESL comprehension by traditional method. The other group is experimental group and the researchers leave the learners in IT lab to learn ESL comprehension independently. The researchers assign some tasks to the learners and they complete these tasks by using computer on their own. After the experiment of 20 days it has been found from the comparison of the results gained through posttest from both the groups that the effect of self-organized learning environment on the comprehension of ESL learners is more than the traditional learning environment. The aim of this study is to enable the learners to learn English comprehension by the use of computer under self-organized learning environment.

Аnnotation. The article presents some information about the experiment of self-or- ganized learning environment, which illustrate the pedagogical method that used the learning environment to form an adequate level of motivation to induce learning in groups of children, with minimal or no teacher intervention. Questions about ways to effectively teach, minimize problems with student behavior in the classroom and create a self-organizing class are considered. The role of self-education in the context of the development of a new paradigm of education "Learning during life"is analyzed. The concept of "self-education" is considered as a willingness to learn, in which a person teaches and educates himself. Self-education always has a personal significance. Self-education arises on the basis of needs, and they are realized in professional activities, everyday life, in the process of cognition of the world and education of certain qualities in order to realize themselves in the social environment. Keywords: Complexity, self-organization, self-organized learning environment, self-education, self-development, experiment, self-organizing classroom, fast communi- cation, encouragement, cloud technology.

AbstractAutism spectrum disorder (ASD) subjects can present temporary behaviors of acute agitation and aggressiveness, named problem behaviors. They have been shown to be consistent with the self-organized criticality (SOC), a model wherein occasionally occurring “catastrophic events” are necessary in order to maintain a self-organized “critical equilibrium.” The SOC can represent the psychopathology network structures and additionally suggests that they can be considered as self-organized systems.
