BACKGROUND In the face of an aging society, an immediate and preventive medical system urgently needs to be established, and the application of wearable devices is essential. However, the application of smart medical care in Taiwan is still not widespread, and few studies have explored the related issues of wearable medical device usage. Thus, determining the success of a wearable medical device mainly depends on the degree of user adoption and use. OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to examine the factors that influence the intention to use wearable medical devices. METHODS This study applied the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) to build a comprehensive model that explains intentions to use wearable medical devices. RESULTS The research findings showed that health consciousness and trust were the strongest predictors of intentions to use wearable medical devices. CONCLUSIONS The results reveal the magnitudes of the impacts of the variables in a well-accepted revised UTAUT model in the context of the medical industry, particularly in the setting of wearable medical devices. Several important implications for academics and industry decision-makers can be formulated from these results.

Agricultural production methods in Europe are increasingly subject to public criticism from which many farmers suffer. This applies, among other areas, to the widespread use of pesticides. Autonomous field robots (AFR), as the next stage of agricultural automation, have the potential to farm more intensively and, at the same time, in a more environmentally friendly way. However, a certain skepticism towards autonomous systems is suspected among farmers. Whether farmers adopt a technology depends largely on their uncertainty about the consequences of its use and the resulting attitude on the adoption. In order to quantify the attitude on adopting AFR in Germany and to identify possible group differences within the population, 490 German farmers were surveyed using an online questionnaire, which is based on an extended version of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). In the subsequent cluster analysis, the statements inquiring the intention to use AFR served as cluster-forming variables. As a result, three groups (“open-minded AFR supporters”, “convinced AFR adopters”, “reserved AFR interested”) could be identified according to their response behavior. Despite existing group differences, an overall attitude in favor of autonomous field robots was observed. The results complement the existing research with a further empirical study and provide interesting starting points for further analysis, field robot manufacturers, and political decision makers.

Electronic government are in their early stages in many city in Indonesia. Local government has faced a number of challenges and faced with various issues pertaining to their implementation of e-government services.  This paper utilises the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of technology (UTAUT) model to explore e-government services in Dumai city. The purpose of this paper to present a concept idea to seeing intention to use e-government in Dumai City. The Paper suggest future research with quantitative approach to find aspect to consider in producing significant and credible research findings. This research is expected can help government in improving intention citizens’ use of e-government services. Keywords: E-Government, UTAUT model, Local Government

Internet of Medical Devices is a connected ecosystem of devices, physicians and patients intended to deliver affordable and quality healthcare to masses. The study is intended to identify and establish variables which influence user intentions for continued usage for this purpose we have used Unified Theory of Acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model, Expectation Confirmation Theory (ECT) and Medical Device Technology Development Process theory (MDTDP). App Quality, system stability and User experience are other variables utilized in study the study aims to bring in focus variables which influence “intentions for continued usage.” These insights will be valuable to all interested in connected devices ecosystem in healthcare and can be imbibed for creating better customer experience in an era of IOMD and healthcare.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) ability of self-learning and adaptation has challenged the medical device regulation in overseeing the safety and effectiveness of medical devices. Thus, this research aims to evaluate the adequacy of the pre-market requirements under the Medical Device Act 2012 in governing AI modification. Employing the doctrinal research methodology, systematic means of legal reasoning pertinent to AI for healthcare applications are produced. An effective medical device regulation is pivotal to foster trustworthiness in the governance and adoption of AI. However, the research findings indicate the deficiency of the current conformity assessment for medical devices in addressing AI modifications. Purpose of study:The main aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between Unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) factors and intention towards usage of e-management in Libyan petroleum industry.Methodology:Aseries of appropriate literature is explored and a conceptual model is suggested and deliberated. A review of existing literature recommendsnumerousaspectsaffects behavioral intention of the users.Main findings: This model is set to help the managers and decision makers to understand the importance of e-management.Implications of study:Exploring the theoretical and empirical studies, thefuture study would be valuable and necessary to examine the relationship between expectancy and the overall job acceptance level of e-management including the mediating effect of perceived information quality.Originality/Novelty of study:The proposed conceptual model is both novel and different that is positivelycontributed towards the improvement of the related literature.

This study demonstrates the adaptation of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) to examine the moderating roles of age differences that influence the intention to use internet marketing in Malaysia and Taiwan. The result obtained from Malaysia and Taiwan shows a very different situation for both countries. Based on the result, Malaysian was still at the early stage of the era of internet marketing and still very dependent on the performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating condition and price value in order to use internet marketing. Whereas for the Taiwanese, the internet marketing trend is already mature. It has become a norm for Taiwanese to use internet marketing and internet marketing has become the core marketing channels. In this study, age does not moderate the relationship of the determinants towards the intention to use internet marketing for both Malaysian and Taiwanese. The research provides an in-depth understanding of Malaysia and Taiwan consumer’s intention to use internet marketing. The research findings can be used by internet service provider or policy maker to formulate strategies to position the use of internet marketing. Keywords: Internet Marketing; Age; Intention to Use; Unified Theory of Acceptance.

Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) has been in vogue for quite sometime now. The theory lends credence to the fact that technology and its usage in different spheres of life ought to go through various stages like designing, planning, implementing and leveraging in various ways before making that much needed change in human lives. The stakeholders involved in various stages of technology need to know the challenges they might come across in order to overcome them while successfully implementing technology. This is where UTAUT play a pivotal role by providing necessary information to all key stakeholders. The chapter throws light on the importance of UTAUT in different sectors with some illustrations. The research findings highlighted in the chapter provides additional explanation, apart from exploring new areas of research pertaining to UTAUT.
