This research discusses the importance of the economic role of the working woman in Lebanon. It discusses the revolution of the changing role of the Lebanese woman from being a mother and a wife, to being an important contributor to the economic growth. It highlights the effective impact of this changing role on the family stability, following the Lebanese woman integration into the working force which results in decreasing the dependency on the male partner in providing essential family needs.

Furthermore, this paper tackles the cultural differences among Lebanese women, the ambitions, the values, and the priorities of Lebanese women. It touches also on the economic empowerment of woman, who plays a significant role in facilitating the achievement of a higher level of economic welfare. However, the main focus of this paper is on the socio-economic role of the woman in the global environment where material needs have become a priority and an ultimate value.

Questions which to be addressed by this paper are: should oriental women devote their lives to material gains even if it is done at the expense of the family life? How economically important to promote the women’s role as leaders and managers fully devoted to economic growth and money earnings? Are working women economically independent?

Informing families about the impending or actual death of their relatives is one of the most challenging and complex tasks a physician may face. The following article describes goal setting and provides five roles/recommendations for conducting the encounter with patient families regarding the imminent or actual death of their relatives. Importantly, the encounter should be family-centred, and the physician should be highly attentive to family needs. The following roles should be applied based on family needs and should not be sequential as numbered. The first and basic role is to inform the family at the earliest possible time and as often as possible. The second goal of the physician is to convey to the family that their relative received the needed therapy during his hospitalisation or in the community. The third goal of the physician is to help the family reach acceptance of the death of their relative and leave the hospital having moved beyond anger and bargaining. The fourth goal of the physician during the encounters is to reduce or alleviate guilt by stating that nothing could have changed the course of the disease and that all efforts were made to save the patient. The fifth role of the physician is to try and help the family as a single entity and maintain their unity during this stressful situation. Following these roles/methods will help families in the stressful situation and will create the difference between anger and understanding, rage and compassion, and loss and acceptance.

Entrepreneurship is the engine for social and economic growth of any society. It drives people toward wealth and job creation, which leads to better lives for people in the society. There has been growing interest in entrepreneurship research recently. This paper attempted to assess the impact of family in Nepalese society. This was viewed as essential in a country in which more than 125 ethnic communities are found. The findings show that family has some impact in people to become entrepreneurship but it was not strongly substantiated by statistical tests. It was found that entrepreneur’s parental profession plays some role in entrepreneurship development in Nepal which was similar to some findings that parental profession plays vital role in the choice of profession in children.Journal of Nepalese Bussiness Studies Vol. 9, No. 1, 2015 pp. 37-47

One of the most striking features of recent writing on early modern social history has been the emergence of the family as a subject of central concern. As befits an historical area being subjected to new scrutiny, much of this concern has expressed itself in the form of specialized, and often narrowly-focused articles or essays.1 To these have been added a number of more general works intended to examine the broader developments in and implications of family life in the past.2 Several themes within family history have already received considerable attention: the structure of the family, for example, a topic already rendered familiar by earlier work on historical demography; the concomitant topic of sexual practices and attitudes; and the economic role of the family, especially in its capacity as a unit of production. These are, of course, important matters, and the research carried out on them has revealed much of interest and consequence to the social historian; this should not, however, obscure the existence of a number of other significant dimensions of family life in the past which await thorough investigation.

Even in some developed countries, family companies are the main source of their economy. However, internal management often creates conflicts, which can have a positive and negative impact. This will certainly affect the growth of the family company business. Therefore, good conflict management is needed to resolve conflicts. The role of family business stakeholders must be able to act and play a professional role. In this company, the root of the conflict is the inconsistency of communication between stakeholders in the company, thus triggering mismanagement and hampering the development of the company. Keywords: Conflict; Family Business
