The research defines the key factors of shaping a digital identity of a modern university and its representation in media discourse. The object of analysis is the official website of University of Tsukuba designed in Japanese and English. University of Tsukuba functions as a model of a university-corporation and actively implements mission 3.0. in its practices. A university website is viewed as an ensemble of promotion texts that are applied as a tool for promoting the university brand and positioning a university in the international educational space. The comparative analysis of the website architecture and mission of the university in English and Japanese reveals the key role of the addressee in digital communication. It was discovered that the university website uses various means of defining the target audience constructing its image portrait based on certain linguistic and cultural characteristics.

The investigations focused on a picture-stimulated continued association approach, its information value and analytic potential. Student groups ( N = 50), each composed of both sexes, were from the University of Maryland. The study involved a comparative analysis of associations produced to words and pictures. The results show that the two approaches are closely comparable but produced responses which were differently focused. While the word-stimulated responses were somewhat more generic, the picture-stimulated associations were more narrow and specific. All the measures developed previously in the context of word-stimulated associations were found to be equally applicable and informative with picture-stimulated associations as well. From a theoretical viewpoint, the investigations were informative in demonstrating the importance of perceptual semantic and affective-attitudinal factors in the association process. Corresponding words and pictures elicited closely similar response distributions with correlations in the range of .7. As the role of perceptual factors is obvious in picture-stimulated associations, the results of the study have distinct implications for association theory, underlining the importance of centrally mediated mechanisms in the process of elicitation.

Collaboration, Mentoring and Co-Teaching in Teacher EducationCollaboration at the university level is a fundamental element needed to enhance teaching (Cochran-Smith & Fries, 2005) and reflection is a critical component of teacher education (Dewey, 1933, 1938). A case study is presented of one senior university faculty member's experiences co-teaching with two doctoral students seeking to understand the impact of shared decision-making and authentic collaboration on individuals entering the academy. An analysis of the authors' shared experiences indicated that, through this mentoring, collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships were built. An analysis of the authors' experiences also indicated that these collaborative relationships were built upon several key factors, specifically (a) a strong sense of individual accountability and professionalism; (b) the mutual creation and demonstration of respect; (c) affirmation and overt participation in reciprocal growth and development; (d) attention to issues of power and abeyance. The findings of the study highlight the need for further exploration into the role of mentorship of junior faculty and the efficacy of co-teaching processes in the development of professional identities of junior faculty entering the academy.

Internship is a fundamental period in any curriculum of university education because it constitutes the point of connection between theory and practice and an opportunity for a first approach to professional socialization. In this context, to do the internship in a suitable workplace and accompanied by a competent tutor, are key factors for a positive experience and a significant learning in the students. This article presents an analysis of the requirements that are established for the tutors of the workplaces in the Master of Secondary Education’s Internship. These requirements will be juxtaposed with previous studies around the figure of the tutor in the workplaces, which determine their relevance in the student's learning opportunity, as well as the personal and professional competences desirable associated with their function. Methodologically, it presents a bibliographic review about the internship and the tutor as an agent for the training. Later, it presents a comparative analysis at the intranational level, in order to offer a vision from the regulations that regulate this aspect in the different Autonomous Communities in the Spanish state. Therefore, an analysis of educational subsystems within a country based on a common regulatory framework is proposed. The results show that, based on state regulations, and based on the decentralization of competencies in the different communities, there are diverse requirements depending on the territory and that the level of demand is variable. These differences are especially evident in aspects such as seniority in the workplace or in previous experience in the development of the role of tutor student trainees.

The article analyzes some, in the opinion of the author, key factors that determine the nature and consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, which has a more or less significant effect on the turbulent state of the modern world, giving it special specificity, additional significance and irreversible character. Having analyzed a number of pandemic assessments and ideas popular in the scientific literature for the state and prospects of the modern world, it is concluded that with all the possible reservations in this matter, the coronavirus pandemic can be considered as one of the most important factors enhancing the significance of those tectonic shifts in the basic infrastructures of the modern world, which serve as the basis for a change in the liberal/ unipolar world order by a new type of world system. It is shown that the pandemic exposed those pain points that, by definition, are characteristic of transition periods or the so-called axial times. It is accompanied by an exacerbation of contradictions and conflicts between nations, hostility and demonization of the enemy and, accordingly, various forms of racism, xenophobia. Having critically analyzed the ideas about the revival of the positive role of the national state, the supposed end of globalization, the “post-coronavirus world”, the so-called “new normality”, etc., their author’s interpretation is given. Of course, a significant place is given to a comparative analysis of the issues concerning the forms and ways of solving the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic by different countries.

The process of close interconnection between stability and variability in the Ukrainian language system is reflected in economic news of Ukraine, financial reports of organisations, government, ministries, etc., where, along with the established terms, some nouns which are not characteristic of that specific text type are used, therefore, it makes the research more comprehensive and enables to achieve in-depth understanding of the problem. The purpose of the paper is systematic description of non-specialized nouns, and explanation of their semantic and functional-stylistic potential. The research objectives are to differentiate words with direct and abstract meanings, to identify new semantic colouring of analysed lexical items and to determine the features of derivative nominations. The dynamics of lexical-semantic system of the Ukrainian language reflects the use of nouns with a new meaning that has developed on the basis of non-derivative words with direct semantics. Such linguistic units that are used in economic paperss form two groups. The first one includes those that, like their correlate, are remained as specific nominations: бики, монстр, моцарт. The second one is formed by the substantives that, in the non-specialised functioning in the texts on economic content, show the transition to the sphere of the abstract ones: коридор, стеля, шторм. Enrichment of the media space on economic topics is achieved by nouns that are related to the derivative words. Usually, they mark different subject processes, rarely states and specific subjects. Such nominations have occurred as a result of reinterpretation of the meaning of the substantives for which the spoken verbs and the verbs that are used in figurative meaning serve as formative ones. The role of the formant falls on the suffixes -енн-, -інн-, -нн-, rarely – -тв-, -ок-, -ація: зміцнення, ослаблення, падіння, оготівковування, гонитва, стрибок, тінізація. Non-specialised nouns that function in the texts on economic topics have occurred as a result of reinterpretation of words formed by zero suffixation: розворот, відтік, навар, відкат. Limited efficiency in economic topics is shown by substantives formed from nouns by suffixation: бізнесюк, парасолька, as well as composites (банкопад) and juxtaposites (маски-шоу). The Ukrainian media discourse of the early XXI century is too sensitive to linguistic changes. The dynamics is characteristic of direct and abstract nouns that are used in economic papers and correlate with non-derivative and derivative substantives.

The article is devoted to understanding a transitive university as a driver for the development of an innovative ecosystem in a region. The article analyzes the concept of the “triple helix” and the expanded “five helix”, which is the integration interaction of the university, industry and government, as well as the civil society and media space. The development of innovations is ensured through close interaction of all these actors, and the university is assigned the role of the most active participant, prognostically building the interaction between them for the development of the innovation ecosystem.
