Relevance. Wood is one of the most widely used building materials throughout history, and because of its physical-mechanical properties it mainly has been used in flexed and compressed elements. Eucalyptus was introduced to Latin America in the mid-19th century and nowadays is one of the most used woods for construction in the Andean region of Ecuador. To designing slender structural elements under axial loading engineers usually use the Euler formula, but it is applicable only if the compression stress does not exceed the proportional limit. One way to determine if the compression stress will be below the proportional limit is by comparing of the slenderness of the element with the limiting flexibility of its material which allows knowing if the buckling will occur in the elastic zone where Euler formula applies. The aim of the work - determine the magnitude of the limiting flexibility of eucalyptus, since this wood has been the subject of some investigations, however, no information about the limiting flexibility magnitude for the calculation of axially compressed elements. Methods. The laboratory tests to determine the magnitudes of the modulus of elasticity, proportional limit, admissible compression stress and limiting flexibility was carried out. Results. This experimental investigation shows that the magnitude of the limiting flexibility or so-called critical slenderness ratio for eucalyptus globulus is 59.

The article is devoted to the problem of assessing the individual educational results of students in the process of additional education. This assessment in the concept of the authors is considered as the most important condition for the independent progress of the student along the individual educational trajectory. In this case, the student is the subject of its design. A model for assessing the individual educational results of students in the format of an educational event is proposed. The basic principle is formulated, which consists in fixing activity manifestations in a given situation, which testify to the student's ability to independently solve a creative task. These manifestations include: adequate understanding of the meaning of the problem being solved, competent determination of means and methods for solving it, competent access to various resources, and implementation of productive communications, ability to present and defend the solutions obtained. It is shown that the main components of such an educational event should be: joint solution of original creative tasks by students, expert-analytical support of this activity and free creative communication of different participants. A methodological scheme for the preparation and conduct of such an educational event is described. Its structural elements are: a preliminary analysis of data monitoring the development of students' creative activities; development and testing of a package of creative tasks; preparing a team of experts and equipping it with the necessary tools; development of the Festival program using a variety of creative communication formats of the participants; organization of information and analytical support of the Festival. Recommendations on the preparation of local working spaces for various types of activities of the Festival participants are given.

Operation of buildings and structures for various purposes is accompanied by an impact on their structural elements, building materials, and a complex of negative factors. These factors include the lifespan, climatic parameters, static and dynamic loads, dustiness, air pollution, etc. Their action worsens the physico-mechanical characteristics, the structure of concrete. This reduces the reliability of structural elements, reduces the life of the construction object. In DBN V. 1.2-14-2009 «The system of ensuring the reliability and safety of construction objects» set the classification of construction objects by classes of consequences in the event of an accident. The estimated lifetimes of each type of construction objects are also determined. Extension of life is allowed only after inspection and evaluation of the technical condition of the construction object, material characteristics, through the determination of the degree of their compliance with regulatory requirements. The importance of obtaining reliable survey results requires the improvement of relevant instruments and metrology. The described developed system of monitoring of construction objects, as well as instrumentation and system based on the ultrasonic pulse method. They are designed to control the physico-mecha-nical characteristics, the structure of concrete and other building materials. The developed devices and system are characterized by increased accuracy, reliability and reliability of measurements.

The goal of this research consists in determination of the types of contexts in the lyric poetry of German expressionism that contribute to the emergence of connotations in the semantics of a word. The subject of this article is the extralinguistic and linguistic contexts. The work employs the methods of contextual, component and interpretative analysis. In chronological sequence, the article describes various theories of contextual analysis and summarizes their main provisions. The author differentiates two types of context in a literary work: extralinguistic and linguistic; the latter is divided into micro- and macro-contexts. The poems of anthology of expressionist lyrics of Kurt Pinthus “The Twilight of Humanity” served as the material for this research. The scientific novelty consists in determination of the five types of linguistic micro-context, as well as analysis of the results of their interaction with semantically implemented word based on the material of the lyric poetry of German expressionism. In the course of study, it was established that extralinguistic context includes the artistic worldview of German literary expressionism as a whole, and artistic concept of “vitalism” as one of its crucial structural elements in particular. A specific poem is a macro-context. The indicatory minimum for the semantically implemented work contains five mechanisms: grammar parallelism, subjective predicative relations, complement in the genitive case, complement in the accusative case with preposition, attributive. The emergence of connotations in the sense of semantically implemented work was viewed on the example of representatives of the artistic concept of “vitalism”, which in broadly understood as “activeness”. The acquired results can be used for comprising individual authorial glossaries, as well as handbooks on text stylistics and history of foreign literature.

To make building habitat & related compound a good from all possible dimensions is the best motive of this paper of research interest. From the very stage of exposition to earth‟s ambient atmosphere, building materials start experiencing the sufferance; the sufferance by atmosphere on them. It is significant on the exterior portions (of different members like walls, columns, member joints etc.) of the habitat. It is not a new thing to accommodate new concepts to gather with to know the field to prepare the habitat pollution free & with better submergence of knowledge to make it better by reducing its effected pollutions. This time it is the subject of the effect of residence of water gliding from water tank on the habitat, especially on the wall (external) of the habitat. Gliding down on the wall is frequent common phenomenon in the habitat. It is, in any way of happening, found that the water tank (basements, pipe-fixtures etc.) & its normally positioned vertical habitat walls (adjoining) both expose as the thing exposed by the atmosphere, by illustrating their patch-looking exhibition. The water tank which is meant for the drinking water repository for the habitat never holds this exhibition away from exposition of such. This study is about the determination of impact of such patch-wall on its external environment (ambient) & necessary innovation to reduce & improve the walls under such subjection of expose/effect. By this study, it becomes possible to know the effect & impact of such patch-wall as formed by the Tank & its walls (with the atmospheric chemical reaction) & remedial measures as the innovation to prevent such walls from the damage. With various research scopes, this paper has ended with various insights & discussions of the subject matter to make it a concern of the advanced time coming ahead in our civilization.

This article addresses one of the most actively developing types of design activities – light design. The article comprises quotes of the leading Russian and foreign light design specialists published over the previous five years, as well as the authors’ own conclusions. The thoughts quoted in the article are sometimes opposite to each other and reflect the wide spectrum of professional practice. They reflect the initial opinions of analysts and experts which are often diverging. All of the specialists point at the interdisciplinary nature of the new profession, which imposes additional load on a designer overloaded enough already by the scope and speed of the problems being solved nowadays. The discussion of the new profession of light designer initiated on the pages of professional publications is especially important in view of the development of professional standards and standards of design and architectural education, as well as creation of new educational programmes based on various approaches to the subject in technical and humanitarian institutions. The goal of this article is to introduce light design into the field of fully legitimate sections of design culture, to define the authentic scientific basis of the new creative profession, to initiate a foundation for self-determination of the new synthetic area, which materially affects the state of the profession as a whole and the life standards of a wide variety of consumers. In order to reach the set goal, a comparative and analytical method of study was selected, which allows studying the problem to a large extent and from all angles and finding the ways of overcoming the challenges emerging in the area of the new activity.
