Adapting to the technological era, learning activities are required to reduce the use of lecture methods and can be enriched in the use of instructional media, the role of learning media becomes increasingly important. ICT is a program, for tools, manipulation and convey information. The learning process of PAI can further facilitate the search for information, manipulation, management and transfer of science or transfer of information, so that the integration of ICT in the learning process becomes an important role in developing students' thinking ability, developing skills in the field of ICT to smooth the learning process, ICT especially in PAI lessons, and transforming schools into creative and dynamic learning institutions so that students are motivated, always curious in PAI learning. Broadly speaking media can be classified into graphics, audio, silent projections, games and simulations. Effective learning requires good planning of one of the media that will be used in the learning process. ICT is a very effective medium in learning PAI in the era of technology

Education is a process that simplifies learning. It should be a continuous process in one’s life to attain success. Over the decades, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have gradually begun to play a very important role in education, with their usage in education is growing worldwide continuously. These methods allow access to information through the internet. In education, ICT is the method of teaching that uses information and communication technology to support, improve and optimize the transfer of information, in turn leading to the invention of smart education. This improves the quality of teaching, the learning process of students and ultimately facilitates e-learning. It is commonly believed that technology can empower educators and students, making substantial contributions to knowledge and achievement. This paper gives an insight into the various tools that help instructors to develop online course content using Learning Management System tools. These tools allow the instructors to conduct online classes from any location using tutor tools and desktop recording tools to record screen output for further use. The instructor can assess the students in their course using assessment tools and can also enhance teaching methods using innovative teaching tools. The paper also throws limelight on the feedback taken by the faculty as well as the students about the usage of various tools in higher education which helps in analyzing the best suitable tools.

This paper is a critique of the traditional pedagogic in education using the critical pedagogic concept formulated by George. S. Counts. Critical pedagogic seeks to view the need for a new social society that can cope with various distributions and regulatory needs through education. In the educational world the teacher's role in the school is an active cultural bearer instead of teaching a passive culture. In the context of religious teachers in this regard, will deal with methods of educating that must conform to the development of science and technology. Teacher/lecturer is the creator of the learning process is required to further improve professionalism so as to create a learning society that thinks past the boundaries of kinship, thinking to create a better future. A critical pedagogic concept formulated by George. S. Counts, referred to as "the necessity of a new social order" in the context of the contemporary education are religious teachers/lecturers need to get out of the face of the slave mentality, and consciously raise strength to gain the influence of reaching for power to Can do great goals in caring for mankind, and increase the sense of global responsibility. The authors realize that the learning process based on information and communication technology in Indonesia is not optimal but religious teachers should not only stop the understanding on social facts but then on social actions that can change Social reality becomes a new social order, which is professional religious teachers in the use of information and communication technologies. The speed of transformation and development in information and communication technologies is an important fact triggering the restructuring process of public administration. The developing countries have become integrated into this process through public administration reform methods presented by international institutions. Transfer of information and communication technologies have become important for modernizing public administration organizations of developing countries and adapting them to the global system. In multilevel governance, use and implementation of the information technologies enabling network structuring between institutions have a particular importance. The availability of publicly accessible Internet networks and services are the first prerequisite in ensuring that all citizens and nations can benefit from information on the World Wide Web (UNESCO, 2003). Information and communication technologies (ICT) are playing an increasingly important role in the daily lives of citizens, revolutionising work and leisure and changing the rules of doing business. ICT encompass all technologies that facilitate the processing and transfer of information and communication services (United Nations, 2002). In the realm of government, ICT applications are promising to enhance the delivery of public goods and services to citizens not only by improving the process and management of government but also by redefining the traditional concepts of citizenship and democracy (Pascual, 2003). The spread of ICT brings hope that governments can transform (Pacific Council on International Policy, 2002). This paper considers how to reduce corruption and improve governance, with particular attention to the impacts of information and communication technology. The media and the press in particular have played an important role in opposing corruption. The Internet and related tools are both supplementing and supplanting the traditional roles of the press in opposing corruption. A regression model with a sample of 164 countries demonstrates that, controlling for the independent variables commonly employed in empirical work on corruption, greater access to the Internet explains reduced corruption. The effect is statistically significant albeit modest. It is possible that the social media will have a growing impact on reducing corruption and improving governance. A number of examples of current uses of these media are provided. Recent insight and experience suggest how the newer information and communication technologies are somewhat tipping the balance toward those opposing corruption.

Community engagement is necessary for the success and sustainability of Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D) projects. To ensure active participation of community, researchers need to understand and adhere to the local cultural norms and adapt in the lifestyle of people. These cultural norms are mainly unwritten and implicit in nature. Hence the researchers spend maximum time of their field visits in observing and developing understanding of the community's life. In our long-term partnership with the indigenous Penan community of Long Lamai in Malaysian Borneo, we co-developed written guidelines for researchers and visitors. The researchers demonstrated their interest in aligning research process to the community's cultural values, however norm internalisation and development of associated behaviour is still a challenging. The written guidelines are yet only one of the attempts to the practices of community researchers' engagement and we are refining our methodology to enhance the researchers' learning process.

The Internet and the World Wide Web are demonstrating the growing influence of information and communication technologies in various aspects of the economy. Regardless of the barriers of time and distance, newly introduced information highways are linking the world countries together, their societies and cultures contributing effectively to globalization. One of the growing trends in societal development and growth is investment in people. Therefore, the learning process is a priority issue that information and communication technologies are serving trying to upgrade and leverage human resources to become more competitive as we approach the 21st century with all its challenges and opportunities. This chapter covers an initiative that was launched in Egypt in 1997 that targets the investment of Egypt’s young generation, the kids of the present and the leaders of the future. This initiative is part of a national plan that aims at leveraging the capacities of Egypt’s human resources. The focus of the chapter will be the learning process, the Internet and the presence of the first Egyptian Web site for children on the Internet “Little Horus.” With the introduction of the Internet since 1993 in Egypt, today there are around 250,000 Internet subscribers, among which are a growing community of schools, teachers and children. As the Internet grows in magnitude and capacity, perceived to reach over one million subscribers in the coming five years with an estimated 20 percent under the age of 16, the Internet and the World Wide Web could play an active role in the education process in Egypt. The chapter, therefore, will demonstrate the “Little Horus” initiative, the steps that were achieved so far, the plan for the future and the building blocks that represented the critical success factors for the realization of this initiative with relatively modest resources.

This article bridges the gap between the Montessori Method and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in contemporary education. It reviews recent research works which recall the Montessori philosophy, principles and didactical tools applying to today’s computers and supporting technologies in children’s learning process. This article reviews how important the stimulation of human senses in the learning process is, as well as the development of Montessori materials using the body and the hand in particular, all according to the Montessori Method along with recent researches over ICTs. Montessori Method within information society age acquires new perspectives, new functionality and new efficacy.

Political economy of the media includes several domains including journalism, broadcasting, advertising, and information and communication technology. A political economy approach analyzes the power relationships between politics, mediation, and economics. First, there is a need to identify the intellectual history of the field, focusing on the establishment and growth of the political economy of media as an academic field. Second is the discussion of the epistemology of the field by emphasizing several major characteristics that differentiate it from other approaches within media and communication research. Third, there needs an understanding of the regulations affecting information and communication technologies (ICTs) and/or the digital media-driven communication environment, especially charting the beginnings of political economy studies of media within the culture industry. In particular, what are the ways political economists develop and use political economy in digital media and the new media milieu driven by platform technologies in the three new areas of digital platforms, big data, and digital labor. These areas are crucial for analysis not only because they are intricately connected, but also because they have become massive, major parts of modern capitalism.
