Blind selected mapping (BSLM) is a technique to reduce the peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of OFDM by using a set of scrambling sequences. Since the side information (SI) on the scrambling sequence selected by the transmitter is not directly sent to the receiver in BSLM, the SI needs to be estimated by the receiver. In this paper, a BSLM scheme that applies a new SI estimation approach is proposed. The proposed BSLM scheme estimates the SI by selecting the minimum of the candidate metrics that are computed with the received pilot signal, the pilot symbol sequence, and the scrambling sequences. It is shown by simulation that the proposed BSLM scheme yields better SI error rate (SIER) and bit error rate (BER) performance and lower implementation complexity than four traditional BSLM schemes.

OFDM is a key modulation and multiplexing technique. The basic system structure of OFDM is introduced firstly. This paper chose appropriate implementation schemes for channel coding, PAPR(Peak To Average Power Ratio) reducing and synchronization of the OFDM system based on the minimum BER(Bit Error Rate). Finally, the paper realized the simulation and got the BER in different SNR(Signal To Noise Ratio) in the matlab environment .

The main drawback of the OFDM is its high peak to average power ratio(PAPR).There are several PAPR reduction techniques. Among the various PAPR reduction techniques, companding transform is attractive for its simplicity and effectiveness. This paper proposes a new companding algorithm. The proposed algorithm offers an improved bit error rate and minimized out-of-band interference while reducing PAPR effectively, compared with the others. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation are presented.

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a technique widely used in today's wireless communication systems due to its ability to combat the effects of multi-path in the signal. However, one of the main limitations of the use of OFDM is its high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR), which reduces the efficiency of the OFDM system. The effects of PAPR can produce both out-of-band and in-band radiation, which degrades the signal by increasing the bit error rate (BER), this occurs in both baseband and bandpass sginals. In this document the effect of the PAPR in a OFDM passband signal is analyzed considering the implementation of a High Power Amplifier (HPA) and the Simple Amplitude Predistortion-Orthogonal Pilot Sequences (OPS-SAP) scheme to reduce the PAPR.

The new generation of wireless communication systems has adopted different waveforms. The universal filtered multicarrier is one of the adopted candidates that has symmetry with various numerology designs. However, the high peak to average power ratio is one of the major limitations faced by universal filter multicarrier (UFMC) designers. Moreover, recent studies utilize cubic metric along with the peak to average power ratio (PAPR) to show the power back-off effect of the signal in which the PAPR metric identifies the maximum peak and the cubic metric (CM) identifies the Out of Band emission and In-Band distortion. Most of the current solutions, such as amplitude clipping, tone reservation, and active constellation extension, decrease the PAPR but cause degradation to the bit error rate. Selected mapping is one of the promising techniques that is recently used to solve the PAPR and CM problems without causing bit error rate (BER) degradation. In this paper, the selected mapping (SLM) is integrated with UFMC to reduce the PAPR and CM without affecting the BER of 5G networks. The SLM-UFMC solution model is simulated by MATLAB and the results show that the SLM-UFMC model presents better PAPR and CM performance without BER degradation. The PAPR has been decreased to 1.5 dB with respect to eight-phase rotation vectors and the CM decreased to 1.25 dB compared to the conventional UFMC.

Every personal want to use high speed communication system but bandwidth is limited and users are unlimited in that case some of technologies are use for improving speed. One of the best technology called multiple inputs multiple outputs orthogonal frequency division multiplexing. Which provides very fast communication system but drawback of this technique is large maximum to average power ratio, these reduce efficiency of power amplifier. In this article developed new algorithm, for reduction of large maximum to average power ratio and improve bit or symbol error rate in MIMO-OFDM system. Proposed technique, called filter companding selected mapping algorithm technique (FC-SLM) to reduce PAPR using filtering and companding concept. In this techniques, after modulation of input data are converted into serial to parallel steam, phase mapping of all data from 0 to 360 degrees and perform IFFT operation, calculate PAPR and pass through desire range of filter and select minimum PAPR then perform companding and transmitted through an antenna. This scheme is reduce 2.3 dB PAPR and improve bit or symbol error rate. This is one of the most excellent promising techniques for next generation (5-G) communication system.
