In the research paper author has studied the interest in mathematics subject of secondary level students. Author has selected the financed high school level students affiliated to U.P. Secondary school council Allahabad and used self constructed interest scale for measuring their interest in mathematics subject. Data collection has done on the 100 students sample by survey method in the study sex. Subject and habitat variations have classified. Statistical method for data analysis mean standard deviation and C.R-value has calculated. In was revealed that mathematical interest of science students was significantly higher than arts students but there was no significant difference of mathematical interest of male and female students as well as rural and urban students. Author felt the necessity to increase their interest in mathematics.

Purpose of the Study: This study investigated the creative abilities of students from rural and urban secondary schools in terms of their fluency, flexibility, originality, inquisitiveness, and persistency. Methodology: The research design used here is quantitative with the type of descriptive survey method. The research subjects were 720 secondary school students selected through disproportionate stratified random sampling. The research instrument used is the Passi Test of Creativity (verbal & non-verbal). The analysis techniques employed are descriptive statistics and inferential statistics in the form of independent means t-test. Main Findings: The study revealed that rural and urban Secondary level school students have significant differences in their creativity. However, concerning the inquisitiveness dimension of creativity, the study reported no significant difference between the rural and urban Secondary level school students. Applications of this Study: This research can be used as input for the schools and teachers at the secondary level to consider the practice of offering a more stimulating environment to students hailing from rural backgrounds. This research can also be used as input in the facilitation of students’ creative abilities. Novelty/Originality of this Study: The teachers, educators, and school authorities, especially at Secondary level of Education; are suggested to offer more exposures and stimulating environments to students belonging to the rural backgrounds. The study examined for the first time the rural-urban disparity among secondary level school students on the dimensions of creativity such as inquisitiveness and persistence, especially in north-east India.

The study examined the effects of outdoor science activities on student’s academic achievement and retention in science in Delta South Senatorial District. The quasi-experimental design was used specifically, the non-equivalent pre-test, post-test control group design. Four research questions and hypotheses were raised and formulated to guide the study. The population consists of all senior secondary school two (SSII) science students in all the Government-owned public schools in the Senatorial District with an estimation of fifteen thousand, two hundred and seventy-five students (15,275). A sample of two hundred and fifty (250) SSII science student’s randomly selected from four (4) public mixed secondary schools in the Senatorial District was used for the study. The instrument used for data collection was the Science Achievement Test (SAT) which was validated by experts in the field of Science, Measurement and Evaluation. The reliability of the instrument was established using Kuder-Richardson formula 21 which yielded coefficient of internal consistency of 0.82. Data were collected by administering the Science Achievement Test (SAT) as a pre-test. Post-test and post-post-test (follow up test). The data obtained were analysed using mean, standard deviation, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The results showed that there was a significant difference in the mean achievement and retention scores between students taught using outdoor science activities and those taught without outdoor science activities. There was no significant difference in the mean achievement scores between male and female students taught science with outdoor science activities and there was a significant difference in the mean retention scores between male and female students taught science with outdoor science activities in favour of male students. Based on the findings, it was concluded that outdoor science activities may be an option in promoting students’ academic achievement and retention in science students. Based on this, it was recommended that science teachers should adopt outdoor science activities in teaching science at the secondary school levels and that Government should provide an essential outdoor learning environment in schools to facilitate outdoor science activities.

The aim of this study is to search core exercise’s affect which is done regulary with female students for 8 weeks on students’ balance programs. 20 volunteer female participants who were students of Osman Nuri Yalman High school (ten of them were experimental group and ten of them were control group) were included in the study. In the survey, experimental method with pretest-posttest desing was used. Core exercise was applied on experimental group three days a week during 8 weeks on the other hand no exercise was done with control group. SPSS (Ver.20) packet program was used while analyzing data statistically. Before the analysis, normality distribution was determined by being used skewness-kurtosis and hitogram and significance level was controlled according to the greenhouse-geisser and two-way repeated measures of anova values. According to the results of the survey, significant difference was found between two groups’ pre-test–post-test balance values (F(2.69, 48.36) = 42.25, p < .05). The post-test balance values of the group in 8 directions increased significantly. When the pos-test balance values between the two groups were compared, the post- test balance values of the experimantal group participants were significantly higher than the control group participants (F(1.18) = 6.20, p < .05). Consequently; it can be said that core training applied to the high school level female students three days a week for 8 weeks can have a positive effect on balance performance.

The present study examines the perception of teachers and students of undergraduate colleges towards the implementation of Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) by investigating the significance of difference in the perception of teachers in relation to stream and students in relation to sex, streams and types of colleges. For this purpose near about 60 teachers and 120 students were selected through random sampling from 4 undergraduate colleges of Bargarh district affiliated to Sambalpur University, Odisha. The descriptive survey method was used by the researchers. The data were collected through five point perception scale developed by the researchers for teachers and students separately. For the analysis of the obtained data test was used. The result indicated that arts, science and commerce teachers did not differ significantly in their perception towards implementation of CBCS at undergraduate level. The science students differed significantly from the commerce and arts students in their perception towards the implementation of CBCS at undergraduate level. But arts and commerce students did not differ significantly in their perception. There was no significant difference in the perception of male and female students. The students of Government College differed significantly from the students of private college and government aided colleges in their perception towards the implementation of CBCS at under graduate level.

The investigator intended to examine the attitude of secondary school teachers towards value patterns of education in relation to Gender, Teaching effectiveness and Locality. The investigator adopted a descriptive survey method for the current study. The researcher selected by the random sampling method for data collection following four High schools of Cuttack District. Further, the investigator adopted an attitude scale developed by Rensis Likert for Data collection. For analysis of data, the researcher used the ‘t’ test. The findings showed no significant difference is found between the attitude of Male and Female Teachers on Value Education. Similarly, there is no significant difference exists between Rural and Urban teachers in their attitude towards Value Education.

The present investigation was to find the level of aspiration among secondary school teachers. Survey method of investigation was employed. The findings of the study showed that there is a significant difference between male and female secondary school teachers in relation to their level of aspiration. Significant difference was obtained between rural and urban secondary school teachers in relation to their level of aspiration. Significant difference was also found between govt. and non-govt secondary school teachers in relation to their level of aspiration.

The present investigation was to find the attitude of secondary school teachers towards cultural activities. Survey method of investigation was employed. The findings of the study showed that there is no significant difference between male and female secondary school teachers in relation to their attitude towards cultural activities. Significant difference was obtained between rural and urban secondary school teachers in relation to their attitude towards cultural activities. Significant difference was also found between govt. and non-govt. secondary school teachers in relation to their attitude towards cultural activities.

This study investigated the factors that contribute to the non-science students’ lack of interest in school science through the use of a 27-item questionnaire. This assisted in comparing the male and female non-science students’ lack of interest in school science. There were 259 male and female students from three senior high schools in three District Assemblies of the Ashanti Region of Ghana who participated in the study. Quantitative data were collected from the 259 students through a cross-sectional survey. The research questions were answered with mean, standard deviation, percentage, boxplot, and independent-samples t-test. The results of the study have shown that the factors that contribute to students’ lack of interest in school science include as higher demands of students’ time in learning science, less practical nature of science teaching and learning, failure of science students with larger aggregate from high school to gain admission into tertiary institutions, too broad nature of science content, lack of sponsorship for science students, school science as difficult subject compared to others, and teaching of science is a transmission of knowledge from science teachers or textbooks to students. The results of the study have further shown that there was a statistical significant difference between the mean scores of male and female non-science students’ lack of interest in school science. Science teachers are therefore encouraged to adopt strategies that could encourage students to develop and show interest in science related subjects and courses. The existing research study was aimed to study the organizational citizenship behaviour of teachers at Secondary level. The nature of this research study was descriptive and gathered the data by survey method. Hundred male and hundred female teachers teaching at Secondary level were chosen by stratified sampling technique from the Islamabad Model Secondary Schools. A standardized questionnaire based on Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale (OCBS) of 24 items developed by Podsakoff and Moorman (1995) was employed to gather data which have five subscales. Mean, Standard deviation, an independent sample t-test and ANOVA were applied for data analysis. The consciousness dimension has shown high mean score value as compare to the other dimensions of OCB. An independent t-test was employed to see the major difference regarding OCB of male and female teachers. Results indicated that there is a substantial difference in OCB between male and female teachers, moreover results also displays that male teachers have considerably higher level of OCB than female teachers. There is no significant difference found in OCB of teachers based on their marital status and age group. Educational administration should work out on fostering a perception of OCB in their institutions to improve their teaching standard and teachers should also be given incentives by their heads in order to exhibit high level of OCB that will be resulted in their improved performance.

The author compared study attitudes of low and high achievers by using a self-developed study attitude scale (SAS) consisting of 36 items. Academic performance was measured through marks obtained by the students in the 9th grade examination conducted by the external body.  The analysis revealed that the study attitude of secondary school students was related with their academic achievement.  A t-test for independent samples showed that there was a significant difference between the study attitude of male, female, rural and urban students.
