Com o uso de frequente acompanhamento, feedbacks sobre a aprendizagem dos estudantes e a proposta de um ensino personalizado, a Sala de Aula Invertida vem ganhando espaço nas disciplinas de ciências exatas. Personalizar o ensino não é tarefa fácil e os recursos tecnológicos são uma das alternativas para que professores consigam fazer com agilidade e eficiência. Este artigo é um recorte de uma dissertação de mestrado que objetivou construir e validar o FrameAGAP, um framework para gestão e acompanhamento de aprendizagens personalizadas, para o conteúdo de cônicas, utilizando como metodologia de pesquisa o Design Experiment. Nele, discutem-se as possibilidades do FrameAGAP quanto ao acompanhamento da aprendizagem de uma estudante com dificuldades no estudo das seções cônicas. Como resultados, verificamos que o FrameAGAP possibilitou que estudantes recebessem feedback sobre as atividades propostas, além de recursos e situações que os possibilitaram explorar e mobilizar os conhecimentos necessários para a aprendizagem do conteúdo de cônicas.

The objective of this study was to collect information on genetic parameter and agronomy character of soybean F4 generation in the low light intensity condition. The parameter was tested to 130 lines F4 which are produced by Balai Besar Pengkajian dan Pengembangan Teknologi Pertanian (BBP2TP) Boor and the genotype of Sibayak, Tegal, Tanggamus, and Argomulyo were used as controls. The experiment was conducted in the university�s experimental field in Cikabayan, from September to December 2007. A total of 130 advance (F4) soybean lines were evaluated under shading in an augmented design experiment. The result of this study showed that all character has low genetic coefficient. Processed cereals are used routinely in diets for equines but little information is available on how physical processing affects the digestibility of cereals in equines. This study examines the effects of three physical processing methods (rolling, micronisation and extrusion) on the in vivo apparent digestibility of barley fed to ponies.Three mature caecally-fistulated Welsh-cross pony geldings, (LW 284kg ± 3.8kg) were used in a 3 x 4 incomplete latin square changeover design experiment consisting of four 21 day periods. Each period comprised a sixteen day adaptation phase and a five day recording phase when apparent digestibility in vivo was determined. Ponies were offered 4kg dry matter (DM) per day of either 100% hay cubes (HC) or one of three diets consisting of a 50:50 barley:hay cubes mix. The barley in the mixed diets was either rolled barley (RB), micronised barley (MB) or extruded barley (EB). Diets were offered in 2 equal meals per day fed at 09:00 and 17:00 hours respectively.

Based on metaphorical cognitive theory, this research did four experiments to examine whether and how one important feature of money, denomination, could influence prosocial behavior. Study 1 was an experiment with a sample size of 209 undergraduates ( Mage = 18.97) showed that a larger denomination enhanced the probability of participants engaging in prosocial behavior rather than with a smaller denomination. Study 2 collecting data from 269 undergraduates ( Mage = 18.50) further showed that larger denominations condition inspired more prosocial behavior than the control condition; and the small denominations condition produced similar levels of prosocial behavior to the control condition. Study 3 used single factor design with a sample size of 192 undergraduates ( Mage = 20.49) repeated the results of Study 2. Furthermore, Study 3 excluded an important alternative explanation that the value rather than the denomination influenced prosocial behavior. Last, Study 4 applied a factorial design experiment with a sample size of 132 undergraduates ( Mage = 20.92) which demonstrated that generosity mediated the effect of denomination on prosocial behavior; the effect of denomination on prosocial behavior did not depend on money priming methods. Finally, theoretical and practical implications were discussed.

AbstractIn the context of smart communities, it is essential an active and continuous collaboration between citizens, organizations and institutions. There are several cases where citizens may be asked to participate such as in public decision-making process by informing, voting or proposing projects or in crisis management by sharing precise and timely information with other citizens and emergency organizations. However, these opportunities do not automatically result in participatory practices sustained over time. Mobile technologies and social networks provide the substratum for supporting formal empowerment, but citizen engagement in participation processes is still an open issue. One of the techniques used to improve engagement is gamification based on the humans’ predisposition to games. So far, we still lack studies that can prove the advantage of gamified systems respect to non-gamified ones in civic participation context. In this work, we present a between-group design experiment performed in the wild using two mobile applications enabling civic participation, one gamified and the other not. Our results highlight that the gamified application generates a better user experience and civic engagement.

Automated vehicles (AV) have the potential to benefit our society. Providing explanations is one approach to facilitating AV trust by decreasing uncertainty about automated decision-making. However, it is not clear whether explanations are equally beneficial for drivers across age groups in terms of trust and anxiety. To examine this, we conducted a mixed-design experiment with 40 participants divided into three age groups (i.e., younger, middle-age, and older). Participants were presented with: (1) no explanation, or (2) explanation given before or (3) after the AV took action, or (4) explanation along with a request for permission to take action. Results highlight both commonalities and differences between age groups. These results have important implications in designing AV explanations and promoting trust.

Simultaneous determination of iron and copper in children's sera by FAASA new and simple flame atomic-absorption spectrometric (FAAS) method is proposed for simultaneous determination of iron and copper in children's sera. It is based on single-step sample pretreatment (deproteinization with 3 mol L-1HCl, ratio 1:1) and single-step calibration using 1.5 mol L-1HCl standard. During method's optimization a short multifactorial design experiment was used. The proposed method assures accuracy, sensitivity and precision comparable to that of the reference methods. The new approach is simple and time-, labour- and serum-saving, the latter being especially important in pediatric diagnostics.
