This research was aimed at describing the forms of Javanese imperative sentences of radio drama Ora Atos Kaya Watu (Not as Hard as a Stone) broadcasted by RRI Surakarta. The descriptions were based on the markers of each imperative sentence. As a type of descriptive-qualitative research, the data of this research were in the forms of morphemes, words, phrase, clauses, sentences gained from the the dialogues manuscripts of the drama. The data were collected by reading and note-taking which were then analyzed by using descrptive method. The result showed that the imperative sentences in the drama had two characteristics i.e.: ended with suffix -en, -a, -ana, or -na on their predicates and started with commands such as: ayo, sumonggo, and coba. Aside from that, there were two purposes intended by the imperative sentences as well, namely commanding for and forbidding from doing something. There were also found 9 types of meanings of the imperative sentences, i.e.: insisting, persuasions, suggestions, pleasing, prohibitions, commands, requests, asking, and recommendations.

The field of meaning and components is one of the bases for understanding the meaning of a language. And this theory helps researchers uncover the meaning of the verb 'to purify' in Arabic. The verb 'to purify' was chosen because it has an essential meaning for Muslims. Even the Qur'an uses various lexemes for this verb by looking at its context, subject, and function because different lexemes carry different meanings and legal implications. Therefore, this study aims to describe the meaning field, analyze the meaning component, and explain the verbum component of the verb 'to purify' in Arabic. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data were collected from the Qur'an, with selective reading and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique uses an interactive model by Miles and Huberman, namely by collecting data from sources and sorting it then selecting it to produce findings of four purifying verbs, namely طَهَّرَ، قَدَّسَ، زَكَّى،, and سَبَّحَ. The following components of meaning are determined through the type of subject, object, characteristics of the object, and how it works and concluded that the verb 'to purify' is included in the category of state verb and process verb. English verbs have unique inflectional markers which show the past tense. There are two inflectional markers that become the categorization of these verbs. The first marker is the additional morpheme [d] or [ed]. All verbs with this marker are categorized as regular verbs. The second marker is the verb morphophonemic change like the word ‘sing’ [+present] and ‘sang’ [+past]. The verbs of this kind are categorized as irregular’ verbs. Simply, the regular verbs are those whose changes can be morphophonemically predicted while irregular verbs are the ones whose changes are morphophonemically unpredictable. This research is aimed to figure out whether there are morphophonemic inflectional patterns for irregular verbs. This paper is descriptive qualitative research. The data were collected using observation with note taking technique. I analyzed the data using distributional method. The result of the analysis shows that there are four additional sounds added to the ’regular’ verbs such as [d], [t], [ɪd], and [əd]. I also found that the morphophonemic changes in the irregular verbs are influenced by the syllable number, the positions, and the environments of the peak sounds. These findings prove that the term “irregular and regular” is not fully appropriate to classify the verbs.
