<p><strong>Español</strong></p><p>El ambiente familiar se considera uno de los contextos más importantes en la vida de las personas. El presente estudio centró su interés en el bienestar personal que este ambiente sociofísico genera en sus habitantes. El objetivo general fue identificar la relación que existe entre el ambiente familiar positivo (AFP) y el bienestar personal en individuos que viven en zona urbana y rural. La muestra estuvo conformada por 202 personas, de las cuales 68% eran de sexo femenino y 32% del masculino. Las edades oscilaron entre 18 y 76 años con una media de 34.7 (DE = 14.3). Se utilizó un instrumento para medir factores del ambiente sociofísico de las familias y el bienestar personal. Se llevó a cabo el análisis de confiabilidad, estadísticos descriptivos y comparativos, así como un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales. Los resultados comprueban que existen diferencias en algunas dimensiones sociofísicas del ambiente familiar entre las personas que habitan en zona urbana y aquellos que residen en área rural. Además, se probó que el factor de orden superior denominado ambiente familiar positivo se encuentra significativamente relacionado con el bienestar de los individuos.</p><p><strong>English</strong></p><p>Family environment is considered one of the essential contexts in life; one of the reasons is because people spend most of their quality time in the home. This study focused its interest in the positivity that this socio-physical context generates in the individual. The study aimed at identifying the relationship between the construct called a positive family environment and the personal well-being of people living in urban and rural contexts. A sample of 202 people gave their answers, 68% woman, and 32% man, the age was between 18 y 76 years old with a mean of 34.7 (SD = 14.3). The instrument combined scales to measure socio-physical components in the family environment and personal well-being. Reliability, descriptive, and comparative analyses, as well as a structural equation model were performed. Results showed the existence of differences between people living in urban and rural zones on most of the socio physical dimensions of the family environment. A higher-order factor was formed with physical and social aspects, this variable is called a positive family environment, and it is significantly related to personal well-being.</p>

The main purpose of the study is to examine the relationship of organizational dissent with personal values and psychological well-being. The research data were collected from 272 employees of various public institutions in the province of Kocaeli through a questionnaire. Relationships between variables were analyzed using structural equation model. According to results of the study; self-enhancement has a positive effect on displaced dissent; openness to change has a positive effect on articulated dissent and displaced dissent and, self-transcendence has a positive effect on latent dissent. In addition, the articulated dissent has a positive effect on psychological well-being. So, this study presents important results about the individual antecedents and consequences of organizational dissent.

This paper considers Family Support as a fundamental right of the child. It examines the relationship between the well-being of the child as the core concept of contemporary legal and welfare systems and family as a vital institution in society for the protection, development and ensuring the overall well-being of the child. Considering the fact that international legal standards recognise that children’s rights are best met in the family environment, the paper analyses what kind of support is being provided to families by the modern societies in the exercising of children’s rights and with what rhetoric and outcomes. Family Support is also considered as a specific, theoretically grounded and empirically tested practical approach to exercising and protecting the rights of the child. Finally, international legal standards are observed in the context of contemporary theory and practice of Family Support, while the conclusion provides the implications of such an approach.

In this study, whether optimism has a mediating role in the relationship between self-compassion and subjective well-being was examined. The sample of the study consisted of 302 volunteer participants (117 [38.74%] males) between the ages of 18 and 47. Data were obtained using the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS), Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS), and Optimism Scale (OS). The data obtained from the scales were analyzed with the Structural Equation Model using IBM SPSS Amos 22.00 statistical package program. According to the findings of the study, optimism plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between self-compassion and subjective well-being. Consequently, self- compassion affects optimism, and this effect may increase subjective well-being.

Childhood neglect has a lifelong negative impact on the individual's physical health and well-being and is a risk for psychopathology. The main purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between child neglect, resilience, social support, and well-being. Data were collected from 450 women. A structural equation model was designed and tested to determine the correlations between the variables affecting well-being. The results revealed that the more women were neglected during childhood, the lower they perceived social support and the lower their resilience and well-being. Additionally, there was a significant relationship between resilience and well-being, whereas there was no significant relationship between social support and well-being. The findings show that neglect directly affects well-being in adulthood in the negative direction.

While a traditional marketer aims to enhance customer loyalty, a social marketer focuses on the creation of individual well-being. To date, some social marketing programs have been launched to enhance individual well-being. However, only a few studies have been oriented to investigate subjective well-being, in the domain of traditional marketing. Previous studies have indicated that service quality is an important determinant of subjective well-being for a service organization’s customers. However, this notion is not enough as service quality only captures performance of service in the level of attribute. For that reason, this introduces the notion of experience quality as the determinant of subjective well-being. To have a better knowledge about the relationship between these constructs, this study also inserted the notion of customer satisfaction and perceived shopping enjoyment as mediating variables. Two hundred respondents participated in this study. These respondents were recruited at department stores in Malang, a city in the Province of East Java. A self-administered survey was conducted to collect the data. A Covariance Based Structural Equation Model (CBSEM) was employed to analyze the data. The results of a Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) confirmed the model proposed. The structural model showed that the experience of shopping has significant effects on customer satisfaction, perceived shopping enjoyment, and subjective well-being. However, this study failed to prove the mediating effects of customer satisfaction and perceived shopping enjoyment in the relationship between the shopping experience and subjective well-being. Upon the completion of this study, both theoretical and practical contributions were provided.

Welfare is an important thing that concerns all countries in the world, including Indonesia. Welfare is not only measured materially but also spiritually measured. Materially, welfare is measured by one's wealth, health, nutrition, education, assets, housing, and certain rights in society. While spiritually well-being is measured by perceived happiness. This study discusses the application of the structural equation model to examine the relationship between welfare indicators in Central Java Province. The model-built places education and employment as exogenous latent variables, while objective well-being and subjective well-being are endogenous latent variables. The data used to support the analysis were sourced from BPS, the results of the 2012 KOR National Social Economic Survey and MSBP, with a sample size of 6730 observations. The modeling results obtained by the model are quite feasible to explain the diversity of data, which is indicated by the value of GFI 0.97, AGFI 0.96, RMSEA 0.039, and RMSR 0.072. The analysis shows that education and employment have a direct influence on objective well-being and an indirect effect on subjective well-being. The effect of education on the level of welfare is higher than the effect of work.

The aim of the study is to determine the influence of family and culture on emotional intellect and to study the causes of various psychological factors. The methodological basis of the study is the relationship between cognitive and emotional factors in the behavior of individuals, theories and experiments related to emotional intellect. The scientific novelty of the research is the study of the influence of family and cultural environment on the development or weakening of emotional intellect. Output. Positive emotions that parents send to their children create conditions for the development of their emotional intellect, and negative emotions for lagging behind the level of emotional intellect. This, in turn, gives an impetus to the formation of certain psychological qualities in them. Social norms, gender and culture that play a role in the formation of the family environment are involved in the formation of the emotional intellect of the individual through the family. In a family, the emotional attitude of parents towards children and methods of emotional education influence the formation of the character of their future personality. Considering that people share their emotions mainly with close family members, we can say that the family is the main social mechanism that determines, directs and regulates the emotional state of society. The weakening and deterioration of this mechanism can lead to emotional imbalance in society. This is confirmed by the fact that young people belonging to criminal and deviant groups come mainly from disadvantaged families.

In the sport context, an essential aspect of an athlete’s development and performance happens during the interaction with the coach while receiving information on the aspects of performance that need to be modified (corrective feedback). Grounded in the Self-Determination Theory and particularly on the basic psychological needs theory, a structural equation model (SEM) was tested with the following sequence: perception of the amount of corrective feedback generated by the coach, perceived legitimacy of corrective feedback, satisfaction of basic psychological needs, and vitality in soccer players. Additionally, simple mediation and serial (double) mediation models were also tested. Participants were 377 Mexican soccer players (Maged= 16.46,SD= 1.08), who completed the instruments that evaluated the study variables. SEM results reported positive and significant variables’ interrelations in the sequence. The analysis of serial mediation model showed that the perceived legitimacy of feedback and the satisfaction of basic psychological needs fully mediated the relationship between the perception of the amount of corrective feedback generated by the coach and the perception of the subjective vitality of Mexican soccer players. Results suggest that coaches have to ensure that athletes accept the corrective feedback provided and meet their basic psychological needs. Based on SDT tenets, this research highlights the importance for coaches to be aware of the athlete’s perceptions when they are providing corrective feedback and their implications for athlete’s technical development and well-being. It is suggested to incorporate those aspects to training programs for coaches.

This study was conducted using structural equation modelling to examine the relationship between the psychological contract, psychological well-being, and professional engagement. The sample of the study included 416 teachers who were selected using a disproportionate cluster sampling method from primary and middle schools in Turkey. In analysing relations between variables, mediation testing was performed using the structural equation model and the bootstrap method. The results of this study showed that professional engagement is both directly and indirectly affected via psychological well-being by the psychological contract. How teachers perceive the psychological contract is an important variable that shapes their psychological well-being and professional engagement. Accordingly, school administrations should meet these teacher expectations and display attitudes and behaviours that encourage teachers to take active roles in school-related decisions, thereby further increasing the professional engagement of their teachers.
