M-learning or mobile learning is defined as learning through mobile apps, social interactions and online educational hubs via Internet or network using personal mobile devices such as tablets and smart phones. However, in such open environment examination security is most challenging task as students can exchange mobile devices or also can exchange information through network during examination. This paper aims to design secure examination management system for m- learning and provide appropriate mechanism for anti- impersonation to ensure examination security. The users are authenticated through OTP. To prevent students from exchanging mobile devices during examination, system re-authenticates students automatically through face recognition at random time without interrupting the test. The system also provides external click management i.e. prevent students from accessing online sites and already downloaded files during examination.

This article describes how the retailing business has changed drastically in the recent times. The emergence of Internet and mobile channels are primarily responsible for this. The present generation comprises of a group of consumers with strong purchasing power and superior online habits in comparison to previous generations. The younger generation is much more experienced with the Internet and mobile devices and is thus more susceptible to engage in shopping through mobile apps. These empowered consumers are keen to have consistent customer experiences and are always challenging retailers to meet their evolving needs and demands. They can easily switch from one retailer to another with a couple of touches on their smart phones. These increased opportunities also increase competition. The mobile commerce helps the online retailers to present themselves fit in the market and uniquely use the cosmic opportunities. This article focuses on a set of ten different mobile shopping apps and identifies the functionalities offered by these apps. The article further proceeds to explore the specific consumer needs satisfied through mobile shopping which influence its adoption and usage.

Biometric systems are generally restricted to specialist deployments and require expensive equipment. However, the world has recently experienced the widespread rollout of cheap biometric devices in the form of smart phones and tablets. One of the main drivers for mainstream adoption of biometric technologies is the need to address continuing problems with authenticating to online systems. These mobile devices may now be suitable to provide biometric-based authentication to a wide user population. This chapter discusses the different ways that face recognition can be used on smart mobile devices. The authors highlight the online authentication problem and show how three-factor authentication can address many pressing issues. They also discuss the ways that such a system could be attacked, and focus on replay attacks which have yet to be seriously addressed in the literature. The authors conclude with a brief examination of the current research into addressing replay attacks.

The increasing use of technologies like smart phones and mobile apps enables people to be actively involved in collecting data that can be the base of useful services to the whole citizenship. In the realm of volunteer data collection, this chapter addresses the problem of mobility and accessibility limitations for vulnerable citizens in today's cities. The MEP (Maps for Easy Paths) project proposes a set of tools and mobile apps for the enrichment of geographical maps with information about accessibility of urban pedestrian pathways, targeted at people with mobility problems. Different issues are considered and discussed in this chapter, including: the problem of collecting data of a user's route and of reconstructing it with novel sensor fusion techniques; the problem of correcting the positions obtained from low-cost GNSS receivers of mobile devices; the need of usable and accessible applications for the fruition of the collected data suitable for the target users.

Despite being in nascent stage m-commerce is gaining momentum in India. The explosive growth of smart-phone users has made India much loved business destination for whole world. Indian internet user is becoming the second largest in the world next to China surpassing US, which throws open plenty of e-commerce opportunities, not only for Indian players, offshore players as well. Mobile commerce is likely to overtake e-commerce in the next few years, spurred by the continued uptrend in online shopping and increasing use of mobile apps.The optimism comes from the fact that people accessing the Internet through their mobiles had jumped 33 per cent in 2014 to 173 million and is expected to grow 21 per cent year-on-year till 2019 to touch 457 million. e-Commerce brands are eyeing on the mobile app segment by developing user-friendly and secure mobile apps offering a risk-free and easy shopping experience to its users. Budget 4G smart phones coupled with affordable plans, can very well drive 4G growth in India.

<p>This article presents a case study exploring the use of a student Coding Camp as a bottom-up mobile design process to generate library mobile apps. A code camp sources student programmer talent and ideas for designing software services and features.  This case study reviews process, outcomes, and next steps in mobile web app coding camps. It concludes by offering implications for services design beyond the local camp presented in this study. By understanding how patrons expect to integrate library services and resources into their use of mobile devices, librarians can better design the user experience for this environment.</p>
