Finding p prototypes by minimizing the sum of the squared distances from a set of points to its closest prototype is a well-studied problem in clustering, data analysis and continuous location. In this note, this very same problem is addressed assuming, for the first time, that the space of possible prototype locations is a network. We develop some interesting properties of such clustering problem. We also show that optimal cluster prototypes are not necessary located at vertices of the network.

In this study using Data Mining, namely K-Means Clustering. Data Mining can be used in searching for a large enough data analysis that aims to enable Indocomputer to know and classify service data based on customer complaints using Weka Software. In this study using the algorithm K-Means Clustering to predict or classify complaints about hardware damage on Payakumbuh Indocomputer. And can find out the data of Laptop brands most do service on Indocomputer Payakumbuh as one of the recommendations to consumers for the selection of Laptops.

From the ethanol extract of Drynaria fortunei (KUNZE) J. Sm., a new phenylpropanoid glycoside, fortunamide (1), was isolated and characterized by spectroscopic methods. Together with a new glycoside, 9 known compounds, including three curcuminoids (2–4), two isoprenylated flavonoids (5, 6), two flavonoids (7, 8), one monoterpenoid (9) and one phenolic acid (10) were isolated and identified by spectral data analysis from the rhizomes of Drynaria fortunei (KUNZE) J. Sm. Eight of them were isolated from Drynaria fortunei (KUNZE) J. Sm. for the first time.

In this article, a new genetic clustering algorithm called the Improved Hybrid Genetic Clustering Algorithm (IHGCA) is proposed to deal with the clustering problem under the criterion of minimum sum of squares clustering. In IHGCA, the improvement operation including five local iteration methods is developed to tune the individual and accelerate the convergence speed of the clustering algorithm, and the partition-absorption mutation operation is designed to reassign objects among different clusters. By experimental simulations, its superiority over some known genetic clustering methods is demonstrated.

Abstract Aim: This study aimed to elucidate the incidence and risk factors for postictal delirium (PID) among Chinese patients undergoing electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). Methods: In this retrospective study, 203 patients who underwent ECT in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University from July 2016 to July 2017 had their PID severity measured by a previously developed scale. For data analysis, two groups were created: PID patients and non-PID patients. The groups were analyzed based on three types of independent variables: patient-related, electroconvulsive treatment, and hemodynamic variables. Data analysis was performed through descriptive statistics, Chi-squared tests, Fisher exact tests, and/or independent sampled t-tests. Logistic regression analysis was used to identify independent risk factors for postictal delirium (P < 0.05).Results: Results showed that 81 patients (39.9%) developed moderate to severe PID in their first ECT session. Patients receiving ECT for the first time (P = 0.016), agitation before the ECT (P = 0.028), and high heart rate variances (P = 0.044) were identified as risk factors for PID, and they were significantly correlated with the occurrence of moderate to severe PID (P < 0.01). Conclusion: The patients receiving ECT for the first time, with agitation states before ECT and/or with high heart rate variance during ECT procedures might be at higher risk for moderate to severe PID. The medical staff related to this type of treatment may benefit from detailed knowledge about the aforementioned risk factors for predicting PID and to anticipate the best possible management for these patients.

Fengtail North Road Station uses a open and cover combination of laying fabricated strap method for the first time, so we monitor the Cover system very closely. We draw schedule curves and analysis the monitoring data for the main component’s monitoring projects of the Cover system. Results show that the deformation values of the components of the Cover system are small, but the values of piles top displacement and settlement are large, at the same time, the lattices of Cover boards have good wear-resistance ability. The conclusion has very great help for optimizing the system design and the promotion of laying fabricated strap method.

An annotated analytical essay of possible nanofabrication and nanotechnology applications is presented with respect to: (1) some techniques and original results [1-4] concerning the regularities and micromechanisms (physics) of the hydrogen fluoride gas activator influence on the diffusion-controlled oxidation processes of titanium, zirconium and zirconium-based alloys with niobium, and also – on nitriding, boriding and carbiding a series of refractory metals (Ti, Zr, Nb, Mo, W, Ta); (2) some techniques, original results and physics of the diffusion-controlled formation processes of the compound-like nanosegregation [5-13] and the results [13-23] on the liquid-like phase at grain boundary regions in metals and alloys. In the scope of this review, a constructive analysis, the Arrhenius-type treatment, and the original data interpretation [16-21] has been carried out for the first time; (3) some techniques, original analytical results, and physics [24, 25] of the diffusion-controlled processes of the hydrogen multilayer intercalation (physisorption of a condensation or clustering type) with carbonaceous nanostructures. The main objective of the given analytical essay is to attract the researchers’ attention to the expediency of such a non-conventional data analysis and interpretation.

OBJECTIVE: To understand how adolescents perceive the experience and what meanings they attribute to fatherhood.METHODS: Research of a qualitative method, using interviews of 25 young people who had become fathers for the first time. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, taped and transcribed in their entirety. Data analysis occurred using an initial and then an exhaustive reading of the material, synthesis of the results obtained, and identification of implicit content.RESULTS: The analysis and interpretation of this material allowed us to identify three thematic categories: the role of the young father; gains and losses with fatherhood, and solutions adopted during the experienced difficulties. It was evident that the exercise of fatherhood contributed to the assumption of masculinity, to play the role of guardian of the home and provider for the family.CONCLUSION: Fatherhood was seen as a positive experience that transformed teenagers into adults.

The paper analyzes the salinity dynamics in the Sivash Bay after the closure of the NorthCrimean based on the data from field research carried out by MHI RAS in 2014–2020. Recent field data are compared with the literature data obtained in the period before the commissioning of the North Crimean Canal. Salinity in water samples taken during 18 expeditions to the Eastern and Southern Sivash at over 100 stations was determined using the refractometric method. It was shown that after the closure of the North Crimean Canal in 2014, there was a steep increase in salinity in the Eastern and Southern Sivash. It was determined that in the area of the Sivash Bay, the haline field changes non-uniformly. The data analysis showed that salinity increases from north to south (from the Eastern to Southern Sivash), moreover salinity values in the Southern Sivash can be several times higher than those in the Eastern Sivash. In spring 2014, salinity in the Eastern Sivash varied from 27 to 33 ‰, and in 2020, 6 years after the closure of the Canal, salinity increased significantly at all stations reaching 60–70 ‰. These values are comparable to those obtained before the start of the Canal in the 1950s. The highest salinity values were observed in the South Sivash: in 2013, it was 54 ‰ and in summer 2020, for the first time since the North Crimean Canal became operational, it reached 110 ‰, which almost corresponds to the salinity level observed in 1969.
