This study explores poor people or negative ownership class phenomena as result of exploitative ideology by using power, including exploitation of natural resource and placement of human resources as cheaper labor. Although many studies about Indonesian nationalism were conducted previously, but generally the study of nationalism in relation to the poor people class in Indonesia are not the main focus of the study. This article using qualitative research method. In order to compare different phenomena in various periods, this article uses historical comparative research method. There were five levels in historical comparative research. First, is conceptualizing the object of inquiry. Second is locating the evidence. Third is evaluating quality of evidence. Fourth is organizing evidence. Fifth is syntesizing. An open interviewed was conducted with stakeholders whose directly involved in many cases within several political party bodies such as Partai Nasional Indonesia (PNI), Partai Demokrasi Indonesia (PDI). Data was analyzed by social, cultural, and political interpretation. It can be concluded tht in national politic constellation, the phenomena of poor class produce a defense term for their group, known as 'marhaen' and 'wong cilik'. Nevertheless, nationalism practice in Indonesia as represented by PNI, PDI, dan PDI Perjuangan, have not yet succedeed to freed poor people from social aleniation in political power contestation, the ownership of capital, or in relations between state and government. This nation still struggled to build competitive political and economical power in order to reate a social transformation.

With this article we are contributing to a conversation about Critical Frame Analysis (CFA) as a feminist research method. CFA was developed within the context of two collaborative and comparative research studies of gender equality policies in the European context, MAGEEQ (www.mageeq.net) and QUING (www.quing.eu). Since the introduction of CFA in these projects, many scholars have used the method—some affiliated with these projects as well as others. This contribution is a first reflection on CFA and a call for more extensive reflections on methodologies developed in feminist work. We use reflection on CFA's origins, mixed with illustrations taken from research articles by authors who have been affiliated with the projects and others, and self-criticism based on two of our own studies. These reflections underpin our conclusions about the ongoing potential of CFA and the necessity and urgency of more thorough attention to methodological issues related to the use of CFA.

Abstract. The Chinese loan words in Indonesian mainly come from the Hokkien. Many scholars have studied the Hokkien loanwords in Indonesian, but they analyzed from the perspective of semantics and culture, and there is still little research on phonological adaptation. This research attempts to answer three questions, namely, what phonological adaptation do the Hokkien loanwords in Indonesian have in the process of being accepted? Are there sound correspondences between Hokkien loanwords in Indonesian? What are the phonological rules for phonological adaptation of Hokkien loanwords in Indonesian? This research is mainly based on the literature method and comparative research method. Data were collected through literature search and recording. The collected data were processed for natural hearing, a comparative analysis of two Indonesian Hokkien speakers' sound production, and four Indonesian speakers' sound production is conducted. The sound production of the speakers are segmented and coded manually using Praat Version 6.0 (Boersma & Weenink, 2015) focused on the measurements of the acoustic parameters of the sounds produced differently by the two groups of informants and, finally, summed up. Since Indonesian has a more uncomplicated vowel system and a different consonant inventory, when we look at the Hokkien loanwords in Indonesian, we will observe many substitution rules. To maintain the Indonesian syllable structure and phonological restrictions, the Indonesian phonological rules that appear in certain environments are considered to apply to Hokkien loanwords. Keywords: Language contact, Hokkien loanwords, Phonological adaptation

Income Tax on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) has been amended in the Tax Law number 36 of 2008 concerning Income tax (the latest Income Tax Act). In the the latest Income Tax Act, tax rate for small and medium business entity with gross circulation up by 4.8 billion rupiahs receives 50% tariff cuts out of the normal rate. This implies a reduction in rates for small and medium enterprises since 2009 compared to rates based onthe previous Income Tax Act (the old Income Tax Act). However, in the calculation of income tax based on the principle of justice, the old Income Tax Act provides a sense of fairness as the basis of taxation based on profit compared to the latest Income Tax Act which based on sale revenues. This study focuses on a comparison of the tax on SMEs corporation by the latest Income Tax Act and the old Income Tax Act. From the research conducted using comparative research method, descriptive, and document analysis, it shows that there is a decrease in tax rates based on the latest Income Tax Act, but the principle of justice in the taxation of SMEs is still less than the old Income Tax Act.

The article is based on publicly available data, namely on European legislation and on publicly available instructions or recommendations/guidelines dealing with the field of GMO labelling in Slovenia. Using a comparative research method, the importance of labelling GMO-free products and GMO-labelled products was analysed. The analysis is based on a comparison of the basic terms with each other (i.e., GMO-labelled products, non-GMO-labelled products), based on a review of the legal definition of the terms and based on control over the use of the terms. The purpose of this paper is to define an important difference between the two concepts, which is hidden and (or) not defined for most consumers.

PurposeAlthough many of the problems currently being faced in accounting education have also been expressed in educational debates within other professions such as medicine, law and architecture, changes in accounting education policy and practice have not been greatly influenced by comparative study of other professions. This paper aims to examine the potentiality of the comparative research method in order to inform the future direction of accounting education.Design/methodology/approachComparative methodology has been defined as “a method of analysis that focuses on several objects of study in order to identify similarities and differences”. This paper begins by critiquing the comparative research method before considering how comparative research can make a contribution to research into accounting education policy and professional issues. The extent to which comparative research has been undertaken in accounting education research is then examined.FindingsThe potentiality of incorporating ideas from other professional education systems has not been fully exploited in accounting education.Research limitations/implicationsThis paper advocates comparing accounting education with that in other professions. Other types of comparative research, for example, international comparisons, are not covered in detail.Practical implicationsAccounting educators and education policy setters should be encouraged to explore the accounting systems of similar professions to generate new ideas for change.Originality/valueThe paper discusses how comparative study, with particular reference to other professions, can be used to inform change in accounting education policy.
