Studying Agriculture Knowledge Information System (AKIS) in terms of generation, dissemination, transformation, utilization, storage and retrieval of knowledge and information is needed for Agriculture development. Study was conducted in purposively selected Nadia district of West Bengal. Betel vine growers, extentionists and researchers were considered as respondents. Information obtained from all the actors of AKIS was summarized in matrix from to analyze the extent of information exchange among various actors pertaining to cultural practices, plant protection techniques and harvesting of betel vine cultivation. The matrix revealed that information flow was linear in majority of the cases. The feedback got blocked with some of the actors, as upstream flow of information was weak. The present study was undertaken to study the existing Farmer-Extensionists-Researcher linkage as perceived by the linkage matrix with AKIS. A total of 200 farmers responding Karimpur 1, Karimpur 2, Krishnaganj and Chakdah block of Nadia district were selected for the study. The district and blocks were selected purposively for the study. Farmers were selected by the simple random sampling method. The result of the study reveal that betel growers had low linkage with researcher and were found maximum linkage with extension workers like Assistant Director of Agriculture, Krishi Projukti Sohaok, Opinion leaders, Dealers etc.

Agricultural extension institutions play different roles at village level. There is always a need of inter-collaboration network between different institutions. Information exchange among these organizations is important for technology generation, information dissemination and adoption. So, it is imperative to know the inter collaboration network among the institutional actors which requires proper investigation and analysis. A few works were found in India on inter-collaboration network among the institutional actors of Agricultural Knowledge Information System (AKIS). The objective of the study was to find out the inter-collaboration network among institutional actors of AKIS of two different districts of West Bengal and their comparative evaluation. The data were collected from 84 respondents from 19 different institutions employing a random sampling technique. The data were analysed through UCINET 6 and Netdraw software. It was found from the study that Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Comprehensive Area Development Corporation (CADC), Agricultural line department through Assistant Director of Agriculture (ADA), Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) and Farmer Producers’ Organisations (FPO) play a pivotal role in this network. It was found also from the study that Cooch Behar district had stronger inter-collaboration network among its institution’s actors than Jalpaiguri district.

Pediatric patients experiencing an emergency department (ED) visit for a traumatic injury often transfer from the referring ED to a pediatric trauma center. This qualitative study sought to evaluate the experience of information exchange during pediatric trauma visits to referring EDs from the perspectives of parents and referring and accepting clinicians through semi-structured interviews. Twenty-five interviews were conducted (10 parents and 15 clinicians) and analyzed through qualitative thematic analysis. A 4-person team collaboratively identified codes, wrote memos, developed major themes, and discussed theoretical concepts. Three interdependent themes emerged: (1) Parents’ and clinicians’ distinct experiences result in a disconnect of information exchange needs; (2) systems factors inhibit effective information exchange and amplify the disconnect; and (3) situational context disrupts the flow of information contributing to the disconnect. Individual-, situational-, and systems-level factors contribute to disconnects in the information exchanged between parents and clinicians. Understanding how these factors’ influence information disconnect may offer avenues for improving patient–clinician communication in trauma transfers.

Situbondo Regional Police are law enforcers who work in the East Java Situbondo district. Of course, in carrying out all its duties, it requires communication and information exchange between officers and civilians to carry out police duties properly and effectively. In reality on the ground, not all Situbondo people, especially those outside Situbondo, know the geographical location of the police station in each sub-district in Situbondo district. The only way to find the Situbondo Police Station is to ask and ask someone who has visited or learned about the office. However, using this procedure requires more time and is a bit of a hassle for other people, this is due to the absence of a map pointer to deliver or give an overview of the location of the Police station. From the above problems, namely the absence of loyal Police station appointees at all times to help, it is necessary to design a Situbondo Police Station Geographical Information System that is the answer to the problems discussed above. The establishment of this system is expected to be able to assist the Police in informing the geographical location of the Police station along with important information and also assisting the public in finding the Police station quickly and effectively.

Regulators charge to counter information security threats against the structural and functional characteristics of the information system to ensure the information security requirements. These requirements include information system structure and composition, information technologies and functioning characteristics, physical and logical, functional and technological interconnections between information system segments. They order false components of information system emulation as a basic step of protection, as well as information technologies hiding, information system configuration management and its switching to predetermined configuration that provides a protection. However that steps are not included into basic set and they protection aims are reached with compensative assets, formalizing and implementing inhibitory orders and set of organizational and technical measures on threat source. The purpose of research – to disclose and to state main ways of search of new technical solutions for structure masking of distributed information systems in cyberspace implementing masking traffic taking into account the requirements for the timeliness of information exchange. The method of research – operations research in the face of uncertainty, the application of the theory of Markov processes and Kolmogorov equation for solving the problem of increasing the efficiency of masking exchange. The result of research – finding the probabilistic and temporal characteristics of the functioning process of the data transmission network when applying technical solutions for information systems masking in cyberspace. The results obtained make it possible to explicitly implement protection measures aimed at forming persistent false stereotypes among violators about information systems and control processes implemented with their help.

The evaluation of an organization’s environmental performance is an integral part of a corporate environmental management information system. This chapter considers an organization’s environmental impact assessment with respect to a water resource. It investigates formal approaches to the development of temporal monitoring designs for producing data sufficient to perform the assessment. In this study, simple random sampling, stratified random sampling, and designs obtained using greedy search have been investigated with respect to their compatibility with a corporate environmental management information system. All three approaches determine temporal monitoring designs with minimal costs and supply data sufficient for estimation of water quality indicators for a given level of uncertainty. It is shown that monitoring designs obtained using the greedy search approach will outperform other designs when the level of uncertainty in the estimate must be low. If high levels of uncertainty are tolerable, simple random designs become preferable due to their simplicity and effectiveness. The proposed approaches lead to automated procedures which can be easily integrated into a corporate environmental management information system.

A correctly selected positioning system for controlling the mobile robotic means movement ensures high positioning accuracy of the robotic platform in the garden, allows to automate precise operations in the garden and systematize route planning algorithms.(Research purpose) To substantiate the rational choice of a positioning system for controlling the mobile robotic device movement.(Materials and methods) The author formulated requirements for the positioning system to perform precise operations in the garden: mechanized collection of fruits and berries, diff erentiated application of fertilizers and chemical plant protection products. The main ones were: the positioning error was no more than 5 centimetres, the stability of information transfer to the server for building traffi c maps, the movement of a robotic device along a given trajectory, equipping beacons with a mobile power source with a capacity of at least 800 milliampere-hour, information exchange between the beacon and the built-in robotic means with a microprocessor controller according to the RS-485 standard, the signal coverage area was at least 100 square meter.(Results and discussion) The six most relevant positioning systems of the following manufacturers were described: RealTrac, Rusoft CKT, Neomatic, ISBC, Avtosensor, Marvelmind. The author compared their technical and operational parameters: operating frequencies, range, data transfer interface, location accuracy and cost of ready-made kits. He showed that Marvelmind provided uninterrupted operation at frequencies of 433 and 915 megahertz with a positioning error of no more than 2 centimetres. The tests were carried out on a small robotic vehicle with the following characteristics: maximum transport speed – 30 kilometre per hour, operating weight – 500 kilograms, length 2 metres, width – 1.2 metres, height – 1.6 metres.(Conclusions) The author substantiated the choice of the most suitable and aff ordable Marvelmind positioning system and experimentally confi rmed the positioning accuracy declared by the manufacturer. When driving in a loop-free and looped turn, the positioning accuracy did not exceed 1.5 centimetres, which met the agrotechnical requirements for mechanized collection of fruits and berries, for diff erentiated application of fertilizers and chemical plant protection products
