The study explores the relevance of theoretical aspect of crowd financing by reviewing the defining literature on Pecking Order and Agency theories in details and evaluates applications of these theories based on crowdfunding. In particular, the study critically considers the key concepts of these theories and how they could be applied in practical terms. The study decides to adopt Pecking Order and the Agency theories because they provide valuable insights into the trend of crowdfunding streams available to firms. The paper primarily adds to existing literature on the broader definition of crowdfunding as a concept and then examine the relationship between this concept and its practical applications to the chosen theories. The study combines these theoretical perspectives with the practical aspects of startup companies raising finance using the crowd because a broad reading of the literature tends to point to in this direction. The key concepts of these theories are critically considered and the study is conducted in the form of review of literature and expression of opinion. Citation: author1, author2, author3. Starting in the 1970s, frame analysis became a popular technique of textual analysis in different disciplines (communication, mass media, sociology). There is no agreed-upon definition of frame analysis or of ways of measuring its key concepts. This paper explores the relationship between frame analysis and rhetoric. The paper reviews all main concepts developed in frame analysis. Concept after concept, it maps the correspondence between frame analysis and rhetorical concepts. It shows how frame analysis stopped short of developing what was really required to measure frames: tropes and figures. The analysis of a specific text confirms the power of rhetorical analysis for teasing out meaning systems and argumentative structures.

The paper is aimed to develop a theoretical framework for investigating the main determinants of an organizational open innovation capability and provide a conceptual basis for identifying the core areas which are of importance for effectively managing the implementation of open innovation practices within business organizations. Based on a literature review of research on managerial practices for open innovation collaboration, a definition of a company’s open innovation capability is proposed which places special emphasis on the interrelationship among the strategic components of a business organization’s environment and its dynamic knowledge management capacities. As a result of the study, the integrated model of the organizational open innovation capability is presented that can be used for defining strategic priorities and managerial guidelines for achieving open innovation success. From a practical perspective, companies can apply the proposed conceptual model to review and adjust their organizational open innovation capability on a continuous basis in order to improve innovation performance in the challenging knowledge-intensive business environment.

A self-reported questionnaire was used to collect data from 253 bank managers representing 20 commercial banks in Nigeria. The author used SmartPLS-SEM to analyze the data collected. Findings The results of the structural models showed a significantly positive relationship between strategic orientation and organizational performance on the one hand and between strategic orientation and teamwork on the other. Further analysis revealed that teamwork fully mediated the relationship between strategic orientation and organizational performance. Research limitations/implications This study focuses on the Nigerian banking sector. Thus, it limits the generalizability of its findings to other sectors not covered. The Introduction situates the thesis within current scholarship and explores its broader implications, particularly with regard to Herodotus, panhellenism, and the influence of Philip and Alexander the Great on the later Persian-War tradition. Yates also provides a brief introduction to memory theory through a review of five key concepts: the definition of collective memory, the relationship between power and memory, the nature of memorial communities, memory as narrative, and the transmission of memory over time. This review is not exhaustive, however, and is intended merely as a primer for concepts that appear throughout the book. The Introduction then turns to a discussion of the methodological challenges of applying memory theory to the ancient world and ends with an outline of the chapters.
