This study aims to determine whether there is a significant correlation between interest in entrepreneurship with the performance of industrial work practices in Vocational High School. There are two variables in this research, the student’s interest in entrepreneurship as a variable X and performance of the industry working practices as a variable Y. This research is a quantitative research, with research subjects are students of class XII TITL in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 enrolled in the academic year 2015/2016 which consists of two classes. This research examines the factors that are expected to serve as the cause of the present state, then these factors are investigated and analyzed. From the calculation of simple correlation analysis obtained correlation between interest in entrepreneurship with industry practice performance is 0.681. Analysis results also shows that there is a strong relationship between the interest in entrepreneurship with industrial practice performance.

The situation in the Covid-19 era was directed at every online integrated learning. The purpose of this research is to produce SISCA media that is integrated with web and oriented GC for high school and vocational high school learning. This type of quantitative research uses the Four-D (4D) model development method which is more focused on development. Samples were taken by purposive sampling and considered as research subjects, represented by high school and vocational high school students. The research instrument, in the form of a student response questionnaire, was used to collect data before and after learning. The analysis technique uses a Likert scale, and the results obtained using SISCA media on learning produce positive changes with an average difference for the three aspects that are responded to very significantly.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeksripsikan nilai- nilai karakter dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara. Subjek penelitian adalah 23 siswa kelas X A-3 SMKN 1 Bulango Utara, Kabupaten Gorontalo. Data yang diperoleh berupa hasil observasi proses pembelajaran, hasil wawancara, dan deskripsi hasil studi dokumen. Selanjutnya, data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Indonesia di SMK Negeri 1 Bulango Utara belum sepenuhnya mengandung nilai-nilai berkarakter. Nilai-nilai karakter yang selalu muncul adalah jujur, bertanggung jawab, percaya diri, ingin tahu atau cinta ilmu, dan menghargai orang lain. Sementara itu, nilai-nilai karakter yang intensitas kemunculannya kurang dalam setiap pembelajaran adalah bernalar (berpikir logis, kritis, kreatif, dan inovatif), santun, dan disiplin. Hasil pembelajaran mencakup hal-hal berikut: (a) objektivitas pembicaraan, (b) kualitas isi pembicaraan, (c) sasaran atau arah pembicaraan, dan (d) gaya berbicara.Kata kunci: keterampilan berbicara, nilai karakter, bahasa Indonesia, siswa SMKMORAL VALUES IN THE LEARNING OF INDONESIAN SPEAKING SKILLSAMONG VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AbstractThis study aims to describe moral values in the learning of speaking skills. The research subjects were 23 students of Grade X A-3 SMKN 1 Bulango Utara, Gorontalo Regency. The data were the results of observations on the learning process, interviews, and description of the document study. The data were analyzed by the interactive model. The results show that the learning process of Indonesian speaking skills at SMK Negeri 1 Bulango Utara has not fully emphasized moral values. The values that always come up are honesty, responsibity, confidence, curiousity or love of science, and respect for others. Meanwhile, the values that rarely appear in learning are reasoning (logical, critical, creative, and innovative thinking), politeness, and discipline. The learning outcomes include: (a) the conversation objectivity, (b) the quality of the conversation content, (c) the goal or the direction of the conversation, and (d) the speaking style.Keywords: speaking skills, moral values, Indonesian, vocational high school students

This study aimed to determine the factors that affect the independent learning of accounting students at a vocational high school. Independent learning can be implemented by someone if they have self-confidence. In addition, other factors that can be influential are student motivation and creativity. Motivation is an important factor because this can encourage students to carry out learning activities, and motivation will lead to creativity in learning. This explanatory quantitative research involved three independent variables and one dependent variable. The sample was obtained from vocational high school students in Malang majoring in accounting. Data were collected using a questionnaire, while the data were analyzed using multiple regression. The results showed that self-confidence had a significant effect on student independent learning. Motivation and creativity were also influential. These results reinforce the theory of constructivism where, in learning, a person must build on their own knowledge and learn from the experiences gained by others. Suggestions for further research include examining additional variables that may affect independent learning. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan kamus perbaikan bodi otomotif berbasis android yang layak dan efektif untuk penguasaan istilah asing autobody repair pada bahan ajaruntuk siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK). penelitian pengembangan ini mengacu pada model Borg and Gall. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Perbaikan Bodi Otomotif sebanyak 3 siswa untuk tahap uji coba lapangan awal, 6 siswa untuk uji coba lapangan utama dan 20 siswa untuk tahap uji coba lapangan operasional. Penilaian kelayakan produk berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, ahli media, dan penilaian guru. Validasi instrumen ini melibatkan ahli pembelajaran teknik otomotif di sekolah kejuruan. Aspek penilaian kelayakan meliputi aspek kebenaran, keluasan, teori, format, dan konten. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Kamus Perbaikan Bodi Otomotif berbasis android layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar pada materi penguasaan istilah asing autobody repair untuk siswa SMK. Kamus yang dikembangkan efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap istilah asing dengan peningkatan dalam kategori sedang. Penggunaan teknologi mendukung peningkatan proses dan kualitas pembelajaran di SMK.DEVELOPING AUTOBODY REPAIR DICTIONARY BASED ON ANDROID FOR VOCATIONAL STUDENTS The purpose of this study was to develop an android-based automotive body repair dictionary that is feasible and effective for mastering foreign terms autobody repair in teaching materials for vocational high school students. This development research refers to the Borg and Gall model. The research subjects were 3 students of Vocational High School for Automotive Body Repair Engineering Skills, as many as 3 students for the initial field trial phase, 6 students for the main field trial and 20 students for the operational field trial. The assessment of product feasibility based on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and teacher. The validation of this instrument involves learning experts in automotive engineering in vocational schools. The aspects of the feasibility assessment include aspects of validity, aspects of breadth, aspects of theory, aspects of format and aspects of content. The results of this study indicate that the Android-based Automotive Body Repair Dictionary is appropriate for use as a learning resource on mastering foreign terms related to autobody repair for vocational students. The dictionary developed is effective to improve students' understanding of foreign terms with an increase in the medium category. The use of technology supports the improvement of the learning process and quality in vocational level.

This study aims to find out vocational high school students’ speaking performance in correlation with their motivation to learning English. This study employs a quantitative research method using questionnaire to gather the data. The whole population in this study was the first grade of SMK Negeri 6 Makassar which consists of three classes numbering 86 students. The samples were students from class b which consists of 25 students. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. This study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to students who were respondents and test, after which they were input and analyzed through the SPSS program. The findings revealed that the correlation between motivation and speaking performance for vocational high school students indicated that it was strong enough or categorized as medium correlation. Furthermore, the findings showed that the motivated students usually feel more comfortable in their learning providing the students to speak up confidently wherever they are even although English is considered as a foreign language.

Abstract. In Indonesia, Vocational High Schools (VHSs) are designed to prepare graduates for a specific job. Selecting the types of English that suits the needs of vocational students is paramount importance to support their vocational skill in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). This study aims to reveal: (1) Vocational High School (VHS) students’ English perceived needs, (2) VHS students’ career aspirations toward study program they are taking, (3) the effect of students’ perception of their English program (EGP and ESP) on their career aspirations, and (4) the differences in the students’ perception of their English program (EGP and ESP) by demographic variables (gender and study program). This was quantitative research in the form of a correlational study. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, multiple regression, and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA). The findings indicated that:  (1) Most VHS students' English perceived need was ESP. Nevertheless, it was also undeniable that they also still needed EGP for their English before they took ESP. (2) Most VHS students did not have mature career aspirations related to the study program they were taking at vocational high school. (3) Furthermore, there was a significant effect of students' perception (EGP and ESP) on their career aspirations. (4) Regarding differences between male and female's perception of English program and differences in students’ study program, the results of this study revealed significant differences among them.                                                                                   Keywords: Career Aspiration, EGP, ESP, Perception

This study aimed to examine the difference of Vocational High School students’ learning motivation after they were taught the topic of the electrolyte solution and redox reaction using POGIL model with SSI context, POGIL, and conventional learning. The research design used was quasi-experiment with the model of pre-test and post-test control group design. The research subjects were three classes with the similar initial ability. The data were obtained using SMTSL motivation questionnaire (r = 0.824) and analyzed using ANCOVA. The research results showed a significant difference in learning motivation between students taught using POGIL with SSI context, POGIL, and conventional learning. The students who were taught using POGIL with SSI context had the highest learning motivation compared to those taught using POGIL and conventional learning.

This study aimed to examine the effect of the Learning Cycle 4E-RE on the vocational school students’ chemistry learning outcomes in light vehicle engine maintenance subject. The research subjects were 164 Vocational High School (SMK) students majoring in Technology and Engineering, the Automotive Engineering expertise program, consisting of 100 students in the experimental group and 64 students in the control group. The research instrument was a learning outcome test with 30 multiple-choice items with reliability of Kuder-Richardson ρ (KR 20) = 0.837. This study used a quasi-experimental pre / posttest control group design. The mean similarity of the experimental class and the control class was tested from the pretest results using t-test statistical analysis. The research hypothesis was tested using the ANCOVA test with a significance level of 5% (0.05). The results showed that there were differences in the learning outcomes of students who were taught with the Learning Cycle 4E-RE strategy with students who were taught with verification/conventional teaching. Student learning outcomes in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class. The implication of this research is that contextual learning strategies such as the Learning Cycle 4E-RE are suitable for vocational students to improve their learning outcomes. For further research, reflection activities in a learning strategy need to be tested again using different learning strategies and chemistry topics.

The purpose of the study is to observe students' entrepreneurial behaviors in the implementation of entrepreneurship processes in production subjects. The study applied production entrepreneurial teaching model to some vocational high school students with their ‘EkRenFaTiHa Catering’ as their project. The entrepreneur process was integrated in the catering production subject and it consisted of the following aspects: Exploration, business plans, facilitation, action and output. The study employed research and development approach, which referred to Plomp development model. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics. The research subjects were some students of 1 Sewon State Vocational High School. The results of the test on the model implementation show the students’ mastery of the entrepreneurial behaviors showing the characteristics of responsibility, innovation, honesty, independence, creativity, leadership, dilligence, discipline, cooperation, risk-taking and good communication. It also shows that there is a concrete improvement during the continuous process regarding every observed entrepreneurial behavior, and in general the students’ entrepreneurial behaviors could be classified as good.

The duration of study for Credit Semester System or Sistem Kredit Semester (SKS) students is 2 years at the earliest and 4 years at the longest. This condition can cause students to commit academic dishonesty for fear of failing to get good scores. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between fear of failure and academic dishonesty in high school students who run in the SKS format using correlational quantitative research methods. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The research subjects are high school students who run the SKS for at least 1 year and the numbers are 186 subjects. The data collection method used a modified scale and a combination of the Academic Dishonesty Scale and the Academic Dishonesty Instrument and the Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory (PFAI) scale. The results of the data analysis test using the Pearson product moment method showed that there is no relationship between fear of failure and academic dishonesty in high school students who run the SKS. The correlation coefficient is 0.99 and the significance is 0.178 (p > 0.05).   Keywords: Academic dishonesty, fear of failure, high school students running the SKS
