This study aimed to determine the factors that affect the independent learning of accounting students at a vocational high school. Independent learning can be implemented by someone if they have self-confidence. In addition, other factors that can be influential are student motivation and creativity. Motivation is an important factor because this can encourage students to carry out learning activities, and motivation will lead to creativity in learning. This explanatory quantitative research involved three independent variables and one dependent variable. The sample was obtained from vocational high school students in Malang majoring in accounting. Data were collected using a questionnaire, while the data were analyzed using multiple regression. The results showed that self-confidence had a significant effect on student independent learning. Motivation and creativity were also influential. These results reinforce the theory of constructivism where, in learning, a person must build on their own knowledge and learn from the experiences gained by others. Suggestions for further research include examining additional variables that may affect independent learning. Keywords: Self-Confidence, Learning Motivation, Learning Creativity, Learning Independence

This research was aimed to examine the correlation between self confidence and learning independency among senior high school students. This research was a quantitative study which involved all student of class XI social science major (ilmu pengetahuan sosial/IPS) in SMA Negeri 1 Porong with the total number of 88 students. The instrument used to collect data were self confidence and independent learning scales. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s product moment. The result shows that the coefficient correlation is 0,683 (r=0,683) in the significant level of  0,000 (p=0,000). The result means that there is correlation between self confidence and learning independency in which the relation between both variables is unidirectional. So, the higher the self confidence student have, the higher their learning independency would be and vice versa.

Online learning is a basic need of education in the 21st century. The benefits of online learning are felt in the continuity of education during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to examine the impact of online learning on the learning motivation of Junior High School (SMP) students. The results of the research discussion indicate that online learning has advantages, namely 1) as a medium to encourage independent learning; 2) as an effort to modernize the concept of education in the 21st century; 3) increasing the intensity of the interaction between teachers and students; 3) allows for an interaction that is not limited to space and time, and 4) meaningful learning. The impact of online learning on student learning motivation tends to be negative due to the unpreparedness of various parties, including teachers, parents, students, and schools. Early adolescents who need direct guidance, direction, and motivation must lose control due to reduced direct interaction with the teacher. The monotonous implementation of online learning, lack of direction and supervision, pressure for students to study from home, and low teacher innovation are the main causes of decreased learning motivation due to online learning.

When computers take over routine tasks at work, a number of employees engage in tasks that require independent problem solving . Current learning systems should encourage students to move beyond the level of thinking that is lower in order to become personally self-sufficient . The purpose of this study was to test the validity of the Plan-Do-Review-Share-Happy (Plandoresh) strategy stages as an effort to develop independent learning for vocational school students. This study used a descriptive method with the aim of obtaining the validity of the Plandoresh strategy stages with a random sample of 78 respondents. The results showed that: 1) the Plan stage is valid with r count > r table of 0.849 > 0.227, 2) the Do stage is valid with r count > r table of 0.873, 3) the Review stage is valid with r count > r tabel 0,856, 4) Tahap Share valid dengan r hitung> r tabel 0,868, 5) Tahap Happy valid dengan r hitung > r tabel 0,929. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa tahapan strategi Plandores berlaku untuk diterapkan dalam upaya untuk mengembangkan belajar mandiri untuk kejuruan sekolah siswa.
