This study used data of manufacturing companies listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) as unit of analysis. The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of voluntary disclosures and audit quality on information asymmetry. This study also aims to determine the effect of voluntary disclosure, audit quality and information asymmetry on stock return. In addition, this study aims to find out the ability of information asymmetry to mediate the effect of voluntary disclosure and audit quality on information asymmetry. This research used verificative-descriptive method with quantitative approach. The analytical method used in statistical data processing was path analysis. There are 132 manufacturing companies listed on JSX became the research samples of this study. The testing results shows that there are significant impact of voluntary disclosure and audit quality on information asymmetry. The testing results also show that there are significant impact of voluntary disclosure and information asymmetry on stock return, while the audit quality has no significant impact on stock return. At the same time, information asymmetry is significant to be the mediating variable on the impact of voluntary disclosure and audit quality towards stock return. Disclosures play a pivotal role in addressing the issues related to information asymmetry and agency costs of firms. Voluntary disclosures are those disclosures which are beyond the compulsory ones and are communicated portraying a better image of the company and its prospects in front of its investors. Therefore this study intends to extend various aspects of corporate disclosure practices, mainly voluntary disclosures of selected Indian companies. Under contract theory of economics, information asymmetry leads to superfluous decisions because of information gap between the parties. It is also important to assess the possible economic consequence of voluntary disclosures i.e. the incentive by way of enhanced firm performance. The results of the study obtained through correlation and regression approach are very encouraging and are evident of stock returns responding to corporate voluntary disclosures, financial as well as non- financial, particularly in the recent years. The effect of increased disclosures on stock prices is of possible interest to investing community and stakeholders at large including the policy makers and regulators. It is not just about the level of disclosures but also the type of disclosures e.g. non-financial disclosure like forward looking, social, and environmental which play an important role in enunciating the association between the two variables. The paper sufficiently contributes towards literature on voluntary disclosures. Its major contribution is focused towards economic consequences of disclosures by way of better stock returns and implications for Indian stock market regulator to assess the impact of its policy on manufacturing and non-manufacturing companies listed in CNX 100 index of National Stock Exchange of India.

This research aims to find empirical evidence about the impact of workload and audit tenure on audit quality and using audit committee as a moderating variable. This research focused on manufacturing companies that listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sample was collected using purposive sampling method and resulted 31 companies as a final sample. The data are analyzed by using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results of this research indicate that the workload has a negative impact on audit quality. Audit tenure has a positive impact on audit quality. Audit committee reduces the negative impact of workload on audit quality. And audit committee reduces the positive impact of audit tenure on audit quality.

The objective of this research was to know the impact of Price Earning Ratio, Price To Book Value Ratio, Debt To Equity Ratio, Return On Equity dan Sizeto the stock return period bullish. This research uses purposive sampling method with judgment and conducted for 27 manufacturing companies listed in the Jakarta Stock Exchange during the period 2006-2007. The data was analysed by using multiple linear regression. The results showed that there is significant influence simultaneously (21.2%) and partially significant for the price earning ratio variable which is shown by the significance value of 0,05%. The results also show that other variables such as Price To Book Value Ratio, Debt To Equity Ratio, Return On Equity dan Sizeis not significant to the stock return period bullish. For the next researcher, it is suggested to add another variable like debt to asset ratio, Current ratio,Earning yieldand to expand the population (all go public companies). This study aims to test and analyze the impact of accrual earnings management and real earnings management on firm value empirically. Also, audit quality's role on the effect of accrual earnings management and total earnings management on firm value. The analytical method used is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). This research's population is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2013 to 2017. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. This study found that accrual earnings management, which is proxied by discretionary accruals, positively affects firm value. Real earnings management has a negative effect on firm value. Audit quality cannot weaken the effect of accrual earnings management on firm value. However, audit quality weakens the effect of real earnings management on firm value.

Total of 18 companies were selected using the purposive sampling method, so it gathered 144 data to process. The analysis technique using the Multiple Regression Analysis.

The results of testing the hypothesis in this study indicate that leverage and profitability has positive impact on real earnings management, while audit quality and size does not impact on it. If leverage and profitability are higher, it can be indicated that the company carried out a real earnings management.

Shareholders with a large stake in a company may have greater incentives to monitor and take corrective actions, because they partially internalize the benefits from their monitoring effort. This study examined the impact of concentrated ownership on audit quality as measured by auditors’ tenure of 36 manufacturing companies quoted on the NSE. The sample size was selected using non-probability method of sampling from a population of 185 quoted companies on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The study adopted experimental research design and secondary data extracted from the audited annual reports of the firms under consideration covering a period 2007 to 2017 was used. The study found that ownership concentration has no statistically significant impact on auditors’ tenure. The study therefore recommends that ownership concentration should be maintained at a controllable level; the insignificant impact of concentrated ownership on auditors’ tenure as evident in this study might be the result of inefficient monitoring by large owners. But when ownership concentration by large ownership is maintained at a controlling level, firm values and other performance parameters become positive which may be as a result of an effective internal control system against the expropriation of resources and exploitation of minority shareholders by large shareholders.
