Human beings are social beings that coexist. Ideas or a message to others are conveyed through communication. In performing communication, a hearing sense is needed to hear the message delivered.Good hearing makes it easier for the creation of a meaning by a person. Things are different when one's condition cannot hear or be deaf.   Disturbances on hearing experienced by deaf children will impact verbal abilities so that they use sign language and body language to communicate. Deaf children experience problems of their own especially on communication, it impacts their confidence and tends to shut down. Self-disclosure required deaf children who applied when they were in a social setting. The author conducts research relating to the self-disclosure of deaf children in the group Theatre Seven in Jakarta. The theory the author uses is group communication theory and self-disclosure theory. The author uses a qualitative research approach and case study research method. In this study the author selected five informants for information and data with regard to research topics. The criteria chosen from the author were deaf children in the 8-12-year-old group of Theatre Seven. The results show that there was a self-disclosure of deaf children in the group Theatre Seven. That is confidence, believing in others, sharing information about him or her to others such as experience, feelings, and ideas as well as there is the effectiveness of communication with Indonesia Sign Language (Bisindo) and making communication more efficient. Manusia merupakan makhluk sosial yang hidup berdampingan. Gagasan atau suatu pesan kepada orang lain disampaikan melalui komunikasi. Dalam melakukan komunikasi, indera pendengaran dibutuhkan untuk mendengar pesan yang disampaikan. Pendengaran yang baik memudahkan terciptanya suatu makna oleh seseorang. Hal berbeda terjadi bila kondisi seseorang tidak dapat mendengar atau tunarungu. Gangguan pada pendengaran yang dialami anak tunarungu akan berdampak pada kemampuan verbal sehingga mereka menggunakan bahasa isyarat dan bahasa tubuh untuk berkomunikasi. Anak tunarungu mengalami masalah tersendiri terutama pada komunikasi. Hal tersebut berdampak pada kepercayaan diri mereka dan kecenderungan menutup diri. Pengungkapan diri diperlukan anak-anak tunarungu ketika mereka berada di lingkungan sosial. Penulis melakukan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan pengungkapan diri anak tunarungu dalam kelompok Teater Tujuh di Jakarta. Teori yang digunakan penulis adalah teori komunikasi kelompok dan teori pengungkapan diri. Penulis menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dan metode penelitian studi kasus. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis memilih lima informan untuk mendapatkan informasi dan data yang berkaitan dengan topik penelitian. Kriteria yang dipilih dari penulis adalah anak tunarungu dalam Kelompok Teater Tujuh yang berusia 8-12 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi pengungkapan diri anak tunarungu dalam kelompok Teater Tujuh yaitu dengan percaya diri, percaya dengan orang lain, berbagi informasi mengenai dirinya kepada orang lain seperti pengalaman, perasaan dan ide. Selain itu, terdapat efektifitas komunikasi dengan Bahasa Isyarat Indonesia (Bisindo) dan membuat komunikasi menjadi efisien.

This paper discusses the challenges of records management that arise from the use of adapted buildings as records centres in Zimbabwe, despite the advantages of using such buildings. A qualitative research approach was used as well as a case study research design. Data were collected from seven officers of the Gweru Records Centre through semi-structured interviews. Personal observation was used to triangulate findings from interviews. It was found that the use of adapted buildings as records centres was a cheaper and quicker way of establishing records centres throughout the country. However, a number of preservation, security and management challenges cropped up as the conditions of the buildings and the environment of the adapted buildings were not conducive to the proper and professional management of records. This study is important in that it explores the prospects and challenges of using adapted buildings as records centres in Zimbabwe, an area that has not been researched by many authors. This provokes archival authorities and the government to seriously consider establishing purpose-built records and archival centres.

Abstract Background and Purpose: Motivation of this research is to explore the current trend in automating the business processes through software robots (Robotic Process Automation – RPA) and its managing within enterprise environment where most of the processes are executed by human workforce. As the RPA technology expands the demand for its coordinating grows as well. The possible solution to this challenge is shown in case study research in form of implementing orchestration platform to a concrete business process of onboarding in HR department of a multinational company. The aim of this paper is to explore the phases and activities of the pilot project implementation of Robotic Service Orchestration (RSO) in combination with RPA technology and to assess the potential benefits. Design/Methodology/Approach: Case study research approach was selected to explore the research phenomena, which is the implementation of RSO platform in combination with RPA technology and assessing incoming benefits. The case is formed with 2 companies – (1) multinational company with ongoing effort of automating onboarding process, (2) technology and consulting company delivering the automation solution. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with respondents from two involved companies and by analysing internal documents. Results: The analysis of case provided in this paper revealed some key insights: (1) strategical position of RSO and tactical position of RPA towards the existing legacy systems, (2) need for increased focus on initial process modelling phase, (3) Application Programming Interface (API) integration is more viable solution for RPA, (4) the biggest benefit of RPA - its agility, (5) future potential of the RSO replacing the BPMS. Conclusions: First of all, there is a need of higher number of software robots adopted in a company before orchestration could pay off. On the other side, current Business Process Management Systems (BPMS) solutions don’t offer functionalities for managing human and software robots workforce altogether. RPA is expected to expand and without proper orchestration the effectivity will not grow constantly.

In its development, madrasas experienced ups and downs in their development. The most basic problem is the management aspect. The following cases of management are interesting to note. There are schools or madrasas that initially experience setbacks, then can progress rapidly. On the other hand, there are schools or madrassas that initially developed, but then almost went out of business. One of the reasons is due to the management that is not mature enough, therefore personnel management in the world of education is very important especially in educational institutions especially Islamic-based educational institutions. This study aims to determine the application of personnel management in Islamic education institutions and supporting and inhibiting factors in its application. This research is a type of field research with a multi-case study research approach. Data collection methods used Participatory Observation and In-depth interviews. The steps of data analysis in this study use the analysis of the Miles and Huberman models. Based on the results of research in the field it was found that: 1) The implementation of personnel management in MA Darul Ihsan Samarinda and YPM Diponegoro Tenggarong Seberang High School which consisted of educators and education staff. There are several components of personnel management, including seven components that have different divisions and elements, namely planning, recruitment, coaching, dismissal, but there are three important components that have not been comprehensively applied, namely compensation, appointment and evaluation. 2) Supporting factors for the implementation of personnel management in MA Darul Ihsan Samarinda and YPM Diponegoro Tenggarong Seberang High School are the motivation given by the madrasa headmaster and headmaster to their personnel so that they always try to be better and give encouragement or enthusiasm in carrying out their tasks. Both vision, mission, goals because each institution must have a vision, mission and goals as well as MA Darul Ihsan Samarinda and YPM Diponegoro Tenggarong High School have a vision, mission and clear objectives, while the inhibiting factor in the implementation of personnel administration is a means of implementing administration in MA Darul Ihsan Samarinda and YPM Diponegoro Tenggarong Seberang High School due to the unavailability of sufficient funds and human resources in their fields.

This paper develops a framework for analyzing organizational change in information technology (IT) departments of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and applies that framework to a case study of a German airport that is majority-owned by the German federal government. Specifically, we derive a framework from literature to systematically identify transformation barriers for introducing new enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and business processes in IT departments of SOEs. This framework is based on the punctuated equilibrium model and considers dynamic process incorporation, explicit stakeholder integration, a detailed representation of the change process, and characteristics of public employees as main factors. We then apply the framework in a case study research approach and show how the framework allows identification of transformation barriers hidden to management but involved in the organizational change process (e.g., required change of organizational structures, required change of service-level-agreements). The framework can be a valuable tool for both researchers and practitioners to actively shape the effects of organizational transformation in SOEs and to identify factors that influence the change process.

Background An empirical social research approach, facilitating in-depth exploration of complex, contemporary contextualised phenomena, case study research has been used internationally in healthcare studies across clinical settings, to explore systems and processes of care delivery. In the United Kingdom, case study methods have been championed by nurse researchers, particularly in the context of community nursing and palliative care provision, where its applicability is well established. Yet, dogged by conceptual confusion, case study remains largely underutilised as a research approach. Method Drawing on examples from nursing and palliative care studies, this paper clarifies case study research, identifies key concepts and considers lessons learned about its potential for nursing research within the unique and complex palliative and end of life context. Conclusion A case study approach offers nurse researchers the opportunity for in-depth, contextualised understanding of the systems and processes which influence their role in palliative care delivery across settings. However, philosophical and conceptual understandings are needed and further training in case study methodology is required to enable researchers to articulate and conduct case study.

This paper urges greater recognition of the case study as a research method for information management. It acknowledges concern about the representatives of case studies but by specifying the relationships between epistemology and research methods shows that this concern is misplaced. Representatives is irrelevant for many research purposes, particularly when the distinction is made between logical and statistical inference. The validity of explanations or theory derived from case studies depends on the logic of the analysis and acknowledgement of ceteris paribus conditions, not on how typical the cases may be. Typologies of case studies have been proposed and these are considered, together with recommendations for the conduct of systematic and rigorous case study research. It is stressed that research problems should be addressed using appropriate research methods. Research of the important problems within the management area frequently demands a qualitative research approach, though it would seem that such an approach is often ignored because of a positivist research orientation. An assessment of the strengths and weakness of the case study method, which highlights its potential in the vital role of theory-building, leads to the conclusions that this method has much to commend it to information management researchers (1).

Purpose The case study approach has been widely used in management studies and the social sciences more generally. However, there are still doubts about when and how case studies should be used. This paper aims to discuss this approach, its various uses and applications, in light of epistemological principles, as well as the criteria for rigor and validity. Design/methodology/approach This paper discusses the various concepts of case and case studies in the methods literature and addresses the different uses of cases in relation to epistemological principles and criteria for rigor and validity. Findings The use of this research approach can be based on several epistemologies, provided the researcher attends to the internal coherence between method and epistemology, or what the authors call “alignment.” Originality/value This study offers a number of implications for the practice of management research, as it shows how the case study approach does not commit the researcher to particular data collection or interpretation methods. Furthermore, the use of cases can be justified according to multiple epistemological orientations.

Authentic Leadership in Contemporary Slovenian Business Environment: Explanatory Case Study of HERMES SoftLabThe paper explores the authentic leadership in learning organization in Slovenian business environment. The purpose of the paper is to present relationship between authentic leadership and learning organization. Main research thesis is focused on characteristics of authentic leadership in company HERMES SoftLab. The main thesis of this paper is that authentic leadership in learning organization enables the growth of leaders in organizational surroundings through a constant dedication to authenticity and organizational learning that will be explored through the qualitative research method of case study research approach. Key research finding is that authentic leaders can be identified in company HERMES SoftLab and that there is a mutual influence between learning organization and authentic leadership. Therefore, the main research finding is that the learning organization leverages the authentic leadership, which in turn leverages the learning organization.

Abstract: The internalization of multicultural values ​​is carried out as an effort to introduce the diversity of Indonesian society. This means that the internalization of multicultural values ​​wants to provide planting for students to respect and have good humanistic qualities among their peers. Internalization of values ​​is a way to introduce diversity and differences to students without questioning the differences that each student has. From the results of observations at SD-Islamic Global School Malang City, educators has properly applied multicultural internalization to students through religious culture. This discovery aims to obtain concrete, definite and accountable clarity regarding the internalization of multicultural values ​​to students through religious culture in SD-Islamic Global School Malang City. This study aims to: 1) Understand the religious culture model in SD-Islamic Global School Malang City, 2) identify multicultural values ​​internalized through religious culture in SD Islamic Global School Malang City, and 3) describe the process of internalizing multicultural values through religious culture in SD Islamic Global School Malang City. To achieve this goal, this study used a qualitative research approach by selecting the background of SD Islamic Global School Malang, then the researcher used a case study research type. The results showed that: 1) Religious culture model in SD-Islamic Global School Malang City is divided into two types, namely: a) the value of devotion to God, and b) human values. 2) There are two types of multicultural values ​​internalized through religious culture in SD-Islamic Global School Malang, namely: a) democratic values. b) The value of tolerance, 3) The process of internalizing the multicultural values ​​of students through religious culture at SD-Islamic Global School Malang: a) role models, teachers b) habits, and c) through Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
