In Centering the Chārbāgh: The Mughal Garden as Design Module for the Jaipur City Plan, Susan N. Johnson-Roehr argues that the privileging of a Hindu-Vedic worldview has had a significant effect on our understanding of Jaipur City’s history. Current interpretive approaches assume that the city’s patron, Sawai Jai Singh II, relied on the maṇḍala when shaping the city plan in the eighteenth century. The emphasis on the maṇḍala as governing device has encouraged historians to neglect other sources of Jaipur’s city plan. Specifically, scholars have not considered the role of the quadripartite Mughal paradise garden (chahār bāgh, Persian; chārbāgh, Hindi) in the planning of the city. Johnson-Roehr suggests that Jaipur’s spatial organization was defined by the chārbāgh rather than the navagraha or vāstu puruṣa maṇḍala, and demonstrates that the plan was a response to a specific chārbāgh, Jai Niwas Bagh, built by Sawai Jai Singh in 1713. Combining a rereading of eighteenth-century documents with an analysis of the physical characteristics of Jai Niwas Bagh, the author concludes that the chārbāgh was the most important element in the development of the rectilinear boulevards, bazaars, and walls that characterize Jaipur today.

This is a cross-sectional study conducted in a veterinary pharmacy for manual production of drugs located in the city of Jo?o Pessoa, Brazil. The data collected comprised the period from January 2017 to December 2019, using the records system present in the pharmacy itself. We are seeing a growing demand for veterinary manipulated drugs, with a 40% increase in sales from 2017 to 2019. Among the pharmaceutical forms, capsules were the most commonly requested, followed by solutions, and among the active ingredients, itraconazole was the most frequent. With the diversity of pet species, the manipulation pharmacies have arisen to supply market needs, enabling the development of pharmaceutical forms that meet the physical characteristics of each pet species.

<p><em>City branding is an effort to build an identity about a city and providing opportunities for the realization of regional development both in terms of economy and tourism. Branding can be realized through all forms of parts of the city that have distinctive characteristics that are influenced by physical and non-physical characteristics. “Solo the Spirit of Java” means that “Solo is the soul of Java” which reflects the depth of meaning of the cultural, artistic and historical roots of Solo. Since branding was established and legalized, several things have been done by the city government, one of the efforts are regarding physical characteristics is clearly visible in several buildings including cultural heritage buildings. Javanese iconic elements are deliberately preserved as a form of preservation and branding. This research was conducted to identify the application of Javanese iconic elements in hotel buildings in Surakarta. The method used in this study is collecting secondary data and observing to identify the application of Javanese iconic elements in buildings. The results illustrate that the application of Javanese iconic elements in hotel buildings is not optimal. It is because the visual view of building has not been able to attract attention, so it does not have a strong character. This needs more attention to all relevant stakeholders to improve the image or character of the building so that it can become a city branding that can strengthen the identity of Surakarta City through physical characteristics.</em></p>

Abstract This article analyses the role of ‘Skogler’ (Ángel Cortés Gracia), a photographer who worked for the insurgent Falangist forces in the city of Zaragoza, the capital of Aragón, from the beginning of the Spanish Civil War. Skogler’s strong and early ties to the fascist movement, going back years before the war, suggest a special profile of an individual who supported the Falangist party by means of visual propaganda and printed photographs. Most of the photographs selected for study here have never been published before. They were shot in the early days of the military uprising against the Republic and help give us a more accurate understanding of armed fascism in the Aragonese capital, which ultimately fell to the rebels. This paper is part of an ongoing research project and exhibition to analyse and describe the contents and physical characteristics of the Skogler Archive, composed of more than 3,500 negatives recovered in diverse chronological phases.

Agroforestry arrangements in the context of agroecology: The case of the farmers of the Middle Maracá region in the municipality of Mazagão, state AmapáAbstract: Aim to locally identify the different arrangements, practices and agroforestry management practices developed by farmers of the Middle Maracá region in the city of El Jadida.
